I am shifting the gears quickly and getting you in the mood for Christmas with this fun loving bunch of critters wrapping and giving presents!
I used some popular brands found in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store:
- Mama Elephant Cool Penguins stamp set & coordinating dies
- Hello Bluebird Snow Play stamp set & coordinating dies
- Hello Bluebird Christmas is Coming & coordinating dies
- Sunny Studio Woodland Borders die (to create hill stencil)
- tattered rose oxide ink
- Lawn Fawn Jet black ink
- Versafine Onyx black ink
- White embossing powder
- Copic markers
I began my card by creating an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which is perfect for the size 9A envelopes.
I started with the background by creating my stencil from the hill dies and lightly inked with tattered rose.
I then stamped all the penguins, presents & wrappings, deer, birds, & mouse, colored with copic markers and then die cut out using the coordinated dies listed above.
To finish the card, I stamped the two sentiments in versafine black ink. For the third sentiment, I heat embossed on a stitched banner in white and pop dotted onto the card. For a little shine, I added a few sequins.
I only used four shades of copics for the coloring: E00, E000, E0000, E53, E51, E50, R01, R00, R000, R0000, W1, W0, W00 & 0
I hope I have inspired you to start on your Christmas card making and if you need some more inspiration shopping through all the selection at Butterfly Reflections, Ink store should help! One more push, she has sooo many products on sale for 40-60% off!
Thank you for visiting and will see you again next Friday!
