Hi friends! I'm back sharing another fun card using the July mood board for inspiration. This card measures four and a half inches square and is a shaker card.
To start, I ink blended a background using Catherine Pooler Inks: Samba, Bellini, Tiki Torch and Tiara. The background stencil was created using an older Hero arts triangle background die. Images for this card are from the year seven stamp set and coordinating dies. The images were stamped using black ink and colored using copic markers. White gel pen used for accents.
Then I used a square fame die from Lawn Fawn to cut a white piece of cardstock create the window. Next, I added clear acetate and foam tape to the edges. The center image was suspended using a piece of nylon cord and a dime (taped to the back of the piñata image) to create a swinging piñata. I doubled up the foam tape on the edges and sandwiched the nylon cord in between to suspend the image.
Next, I added some 4mm sequins: sparkling clear, marigold, tangerine, pumpkin, and raspberry to the shaker. The front of the card was then adhered down to the ink blended image with all the sequins to create a shaker. After the shaker was complete, I white heat embossed part of the sentiment on black card stock and adhered it to the front of the shaker. Next, I ink blended distress oxide colors: mustard seed, carved pumpkin, ripe persimmon, picked raspberry and barn door on a scrap piece of white cardstock. The smash was cut using Oliver's ABC die and glued onto the front of the shaker.
I cut a piece of white cardstock 9 inches by 4.5 inches to create a square card base. The shaker was glued to the card base and that completes the card!
