Hello everyone! My name is Leontine and I’m very excited to be on the design team for the next few months. I'm a teacher from the Netherlands and I've been married for almost five years now. I started making cards in May 2019 and I've been sharing all of my creations on Instagram and on my YouTube channel. Today I’m posting my first card on this blog and it's a bright and colorful one. I’m going to tell you how I made this card.
First I die cut the reveal wheel with the puffy cloud add-on from some white cardstock. Then I used one of the hillside stencils and made a duplicate out of some white cardstock. Now I had the perfect way to add all of my distress inks. I used worn lipstick, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, salvaged patina and wilted violet. I made sure the colors came from the cloud and got bigger towards the bottom of the card.
Next I grabbed the starry sky stencil and used spun sugar, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, tumbled glass and shaded lilac distress ink to fill in the white sky with stars and dots. I wiped off the ink and added some stickles glitter gel to it.
While that was drying I
stamped some bears from den sweet den and snow much fun with jet
black ink and turned them into Care Bears. One of the bears has some
stars from unicorn picnic and super star stamped on his belly
with jellyfish ink. I colored my bears with copic sketch markers.
The faces I stamped on
my clouds are from unicorn picnic. I used black licorice and
ballet slippers ink and the puffy cloud template was really helpful. I heat
embossed the sentiment on some vellum and adhered it to the panel with
glue behind the sentiment and tape runner on the folded flaps. I used clear embossing ink and white embossing powder.
Once the mechanism was adhered I popped the entire panel up with some foam squares and adhered it to one of the colorful really rainbow 6x6 papers I die cut with the largest large stitched rectangle stackables. To finish it off I added a white arrow next to the wheel and that finished my card.
I hope you like
how it turned out. Thank you for taking the time to read this. You can watch the video right here.
Have a lovely week!
Leontine
I love this, so much!
