Guest Designer Sunday with Latisha Yoast

Hello Latisha here, sharing a “miss you” card today.

I don’t know if it is because its summer, or maybe I live in Florida, or even that my husband is in the Navy…but it seems like anchors are pretty trendy right now. I am seeing them as embellishments packs, stamps, embossing folders & pattern papers. So I’m using a few “new to me” product with different anchors to create this miss you card.

Instructions:

1. I started by cutting down, and scoring some navy blue cardstock for my cardbase. At first I started with white, but it needed more color, so I switched to navy.

2. Then I trimmed down white cardstock to 4 x 5.25 inches, and embossed the paper using the Ditzy Anchors Embossing Folder.

3. Adhere Fancy Pants Designs Making Waves pattern paper to the bottom of the embossed panel.

4. Wrap twine around the bottom of the panel

5. Adhere the panel to the card front using foam adhesive.

6. Using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Oval die, die cut Fancy Pants Making Waves pattern paper.

7. Adhere the pattern paper die cut to the card front using foam adhesive.

8. Using a smaller Lawn Fawn Stitched Oval die, die cut white cardstock.

9. Using My Favorite Things Written in Watercolor stamp set, stamp “miss you” in Lawn Fawn Deep Sea ink, and from the same stamp set, stamp the hearts using Lawn Fawn lobster ink.

10. Adhere the stamped die cut to the card front using foam adhesive.

11. Tie Lawn Fawn Trimmings around a Maya Road Vintage Metal Trinket Anchor, an adhere to the card.
