Hello!
Today we are introducing our December Guest Designer...and wow!!! Let's just dive right in and be amazed by the awesome talent of Shermaine Smith!!!

My name is Shemaine Smith and I love creating cards for friends and family. My blog is Crafty Creations with Shemaine.
I live in sunny Southern California with my husband and our daughter Lily. My son, Scott checked out of the nest this summer and is now enjoying his first year of college.
I have been paper crafting since 1997 but really started crafting daily in 2007. When my daughter was born, I became a stay at home mom after working full time for 22 years. I started a blog to post the cards I was making cards for challenges as a way to keep the baby blues away. Boy did it work!
Eight years later, I have made some amazing crafty friends thru blogging, had the privilege of attending the Craft and Hobby Trade shows and meeting several of these crafty people in person and design for some awesome manufacturers. I currently design for Anna Griffin, Unity Stamp Co. and Therm-O-Web. I'm also the social media coordinator for Eyelet Outlet.
I am so excited to be guest designing this month for Butterfly Reflections and would like to thank Vanessa for having me.
I love using the smaller stamps in stamp sets to create my own backgrounds. One of my favorite combos is kraft cardstock and kraft colored ink. I used images from the Hug in a Mug stamp set from My Favorite Things paired with the Die-Namics Hot Cocoa Cups for my cozy cuppa inspired card.
Other Supplies: My Favorite Things Pierced Rectangle Frames, Kraft cardstock, MFT Kraft Hybrid Ink, Avery Elle Pure White Ink pad, Anna Griffin Gold Glitter cardstock, Recollections ribbon. Stampendeous white embossing powder.
I added the red and white ribbon for a peppermint inspired twist! Who else loves Starbucks Peppermint Mocha? Holiday decadence for sure!
My recipe for a perfect hand stamped background, start with one stamp and randomly stamp on your cardstock. Then grab stamp # 2 and fill in the blank spots and finish with #3 in a different color like I did here with the sprinkles.
Have a creative day!
Shemaine
