Happy Thursday to all of you beautiful Butterfly Reflections Inkers! It's Lorraine from Created by Lorraine sharing a card I made using Neat & Tangled's fun and ridiculously cute Big Top Birthday stamp set. Ta da!!!
I wanted to keep this card clean and simple so I decided to make it a one layer card, which required quite a bit of masking. I placed un-inked (read: super-clean!) stamps on my card base to figure out spacing of images. Once I figured out how they'd stack on top of each other, I started by inking and masking the top image and working my way down: cupcake, bear, lion, cotton candy, pedestal. I then masked off the bottom section and blended in some distress ink. Note: photo below was an early version and ultimately I went with a yellow background.
Lastly, I peeled off the masks, colored in the images with Copic markers, and stamped the sentiment. And there you have it! Thanks for taking a look.
Supplies:
Stamps: Neat & Tangled Big Top Birthday
Inks: Copic markers (various colors); Memento ink (tuxedo black); Tim Holtz distress ink (squeezed lemonade); Versafine ink (onyx black)
Best One Layer Card..ever.
