Hi peeps. Vera here. As we are celebrating World Card Making Day, I want to share a cause that's really close to my heart, that's also related to my love of card making. Back in 2010, I started Caring Hearts Card Drive, which purpose is to collect handmade holiday cards for the elderly that lives in nursing homes. That first year, I collected 750 cards. Then, I teamed up with Jennifer McGuire and low and behold we are on our 7th card drive!
Last year we received over 22,000 cards and distribute to over 100 nursing homes throughout the US, Canada and Australia. And, I am excited to announce that his year, we're branching out to United Kingdom!
Yesterday, SugarPea Designs released 3 stamps sets and dies just for Caring Hearts. They are already sold out, but, don't worry, Butterfly Reflections Ink (who already carry SugarPea products - you can see them HERE) already have them ordered and should have them in the store either by end of next week or early the following week. And, the best thing about the sets, 20% of the sale proceeds will be donated to Alzheimer Foundation.
Here's one of my card that I made for the release.
You can find all the details for the card drive on my blog on my blog post HERE.
In each package, PLEASE include THIS SUBMISSION FORM. This helps us in keeping track for prizes! For each card you send, you will get a chance. So the more cards you send, the better your chances.
To thank you for your generosity in supporting this drive, we have several PRIZES ready for several winners. Butterfly Reflections Ink is also one of the generous company that provide prize for the card drive. There will be many winners. Details for the prizes is on my blog. :)
