I have been over the moon excited to play with all the fun, cool and totally different Waffle Flower products from the store lately! I'll be honest with you, it has taken me a while to warm up to them but now I have become a full fledged Waffle Flower super fan! You can find the entire collection by clicking HERE!!!
Once I created my scene, I die cut the panel from the MFT's Blueprints 27. I the fussy cut along the top and added Foam Tape to the back. I then created my background. I wanted it to look like a western sun set so I inked the panel using Distress inks in Fossilized Amber, Squeezed Lemonaide and a little Carved Pumpkin. I added the Waffle Flower Stitched Scalloped Dies to add a little texture. These dies are cool! They do not cut out a scallop edge. They cut a scalloped pattern into the paper which gives a lot of added interest and texture! My mind is spinning with ideas for these dies!
Once I had my background panel done, I again used the MFT's Blueprints 27 and then added the stamped panel. I made a card base from purple cardstock and attached the panel to it and my card was done!
This card took the longest but I still had a few minutes of crafty time so I whipped up these two cards as well!

Today I am going to share with you a few cards I made using the Cross Stitched Cacti Stamp Set. At first look, it's a little difficult to tell exactly what the set is intended to create but do not let that scare you away! These images are super easy to use and I made three cards using this set in less then an hour! Yep...three!
These are layering stamps...first I stamped the larger section of the cacti using my MISTI and a darker shade of green ink. (I will list a few suggested colors at the end of my post) and then I a lined the smaller section of the cacti and stamped that using a lighter green. I was worried I didn't have the cross stitching a lined perfectly and it was doing to be a difficult process but, guess what? They lined up easily and even though they are not 100% perfect, I was thrilled with the results! It does not have to be perfect to be beautiful! I also added the sentiment.
