Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends! Julianne here sharing two cards using the Stamping Bella Curvy Girl with a Heart Wreath. Can you believe it's already July? Time is just flying by, and our moving date is just getting closer and closer. So many people have been so supportive in us buying our first home so I wanted to make some thank you cards to show my appreciation. Just a heads up, Butterfly Reflections, Ink is having a 4th of July sale going on till July 7th where you get 15% off your order with code VACAY15. Make sure to head on over and grab all those wish list items, I know I will.
I love the Stamping Bella curvy girl collection, I think the illustrations are just so cute. I started out by stamping the image in VersaFine Black Ink and clear heat embossing while the ink was still wet. This is one of my favorite inks and because it stays wet much longer than most so it's perfect for clear heat embossing. Last week I shared a card on IG where I made two cards, one only using my warm grays and the other with bright colors. I really wanted to try that again cause I loved the results.
The first girl I colored only using my warm gray copic markers: W00, W1, W2, W3, W4, W5, W6, W7, W8. Using the different shades to make certain parts darker than others to give some nice contrast. For the second card I decided I wanted the do yellows and reds, I just love the flowers in the wreath.
Once all my coloring was finished I started working on my background. I wanted a pop of color in the background for both, using Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Inks I blended a section of each background. Finally I added in the 'Thank you for being you' sentiment that comes with the stamp set and added a few yellow and silver sequins. Thank you all so much for stopping by to check out my cards, I truly appreciate it. Make sure to check out all the great inspiration from the rest of the design team while your here. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July, I'm sure I will take my day off to crafty :)
