Happy New Year!

Hello friends, Emily here with a card to share.  I first stamped several poppies on a piece of card stock and colored them with  Copic markers .  Next, using the smallest frame in the set  Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square Stax , I cut out the poppies.  On another piece of card stock, I used  Die-namics Blueprints #25  to cut the big panel, and stamped some splatters using  Distress Patterns stamp set .  The sentiment is from  Label Love stamp set .  Finally, I adhered the poppies on the splattered panel using foam tape and added the sentiment. By the way, the big SALE is still going on at  Butterfly Reflections, Ink.   It's 25% off site wide, no coupon code needed. Thanks for visiting.  Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

You're Perfect

Hello! Rubeena here with a guest post for you! I first used my MISTI to stamp MFT Watercolor Stripes Background Stamp onto my card base using a light pink and dark pink ink pads. I die-cut a scalloped circle using MFT Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX  and then stamped the same background stamp using only light pink. I stamped one of the sentiments from Concord & 9th's By Your Side with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink Pad  and heat set with clear embossing powder . I matted it down onto my card base with foam tape. Next, I stamped the pair of cats from Newton's Nook's Christmas Cuddles Stamp with Ranger Black Ink and watercolored with distress inks. I fussy cut the image and placed it below the sentiment. I added a few splatters of Hickory Smoke distress ink and glued some sequins from Lucy's Purely Peppermint mix . To finish it off, I added matching twine. Did you know that until the end of the year, if you place a $25-$49 order, you'll

Today, I have 2 striped cards for you! For both of these cards, I used My Favorite Things'  watercolor stripes background stamp , Tim Holtz  distress ink  (I'll list the colors I used below), Lawn Fawn's  stitched heart stackables lawn cuts , Altenew's  label love stamp set ,  Versamark ink , Ranger's  clear embossing powder , Lucy's card's sequin mix in  gold dust , and some gold thread.   First, I inked up my ink pad with distress inks, then I gave the background stamp 1-2 sprays with my water bottle before stamping.  Once I stampe

Yeti Wishes - Sharna W.

Hi! It's Sharna here with another card for you today! I just adore this little Yeti stamp set don't you? He is just so funny and adorable. I paired him with a greeting from a new set. I find I need many cards that are still winter cards that will work for birthdays and anniversary and other things that are not holiday related but still fun and snowy. I have A LOT of birthdays in December including my husband so I tend to make these kinds of cards regularly. So long, farewell, auf wiedersehn, goodbye....

Hello, friends and happy Monday! Emily here for my final post as a regular design team member. I am so saddened that this Design Team's term has come to an end, but so excited to see what the talented ladies of the new Design Team come up with! Going to be such a treat!  I am so grateful to Vanessa for giving me my first experience on a Design Team. She's been such a wonderful person to work with, and I'm so very thankful for the opportunity. To show my gratitude, I wanted to send her a virtual thank you note. It combines my favorite things: coloring, flowers, and polka dots. Let's get started, shall we? I started by heat embossing several of the flowers from Winnie and Walter's Anna's Flora  onto vellum. I colored the flowers and leaves with Copic markers on the opposite side of the vellum. I used two, sometimes three shades in the same color family to add shading. It took a little experimenting to determine how to get more natural shading, since you

A sweet little Christmas!

Hello everyone, I'm so excited to be back on the blog with Butterfly Reflections Ink.   Today I have a sweet little card featuring MFT.  This cute little girl is so adorable I couldn't resist using her on this card. I used Tumbled Glass distress ink for the sky and I used a glitter glue for the snowflakes. I used the LF stitched hillside borders dies to create the snow hills in the background and then stamped and cut out the trees for interest.  I cut out a frame using the MFT Stitched Mini scalloped square stax and popped that up on foam tape.   I coloured in the little girl with copics and used the Wink of Stella to add some sparkle.  Cause no Christmas card is complete without some sparkles.  I then used the little banner from the MFT Winter Wonderland set and heat embossed a sentiment from the same set. That's it for me today but don't forget to stop by the BRI shop cause there is a 25% off sale STORE WIDE!  But hurry, it's only on

Merry Christmas

Hello, Brandi here! I'm popping in to wish you a Merry Christmas and share a colorful Christmas card with you. For this card I used the antler image and sentiment from this cute  Christmas Antler  stamp set. The patterned paper is from  Basic Grey's Juniper Berry Paper Line . I love how everything came together. What about you? Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Brandi

Baaah Humbug Christmas Tags with Audrey

Hello there!! Audrey here!  Can you believe it's Christmas Eve?!  Holy sheep, did this year go fast!!  Speaking of sheep, I couldn't let the holiday season come to a close without using one of my most favorite stamp sets of 2015, Lawn Fawn's Baaah Humbug !  I just can't get enough of these cute little critters!  I needed to make gift tags for a few packages, and these are the perfect size!  I stamped and colored the standing sheep, a bunch of packages and Santa hats, and then diecut them all with the coordinating Baaah Humbug dies .  To create a tag, I diecut the sheep 6 more times, this time, with no stamping, so it was just the sheep shape (say that 5 times fast!).  I punched a tiny hole the the top of the blank sheep, and added a horizontal score line just below the hole.  Before adhering the front of the tag, I threaded some red and white twine through the holes, and then glued the two pieces together with a strip of scor-tape.  I wanted a very strong adhesive to

Hero Arts Joyful greetings card & gift tag

Hey guys,  Jung  here with you today with a card and a gift tag featuring Hero Arts'  Family & Friends stamp set .  Sometimes I struggle making masculine cards, but I think this set makes great holiday cards suitable for both ladies and gentlemen! For my card, I first heat embossed the big tree and star images using Ranger's  gold embossing powder  on water color paper.  Then I water colored over the top using Tim Holtz' new distress ink color in  Lucky clover .  I painted in layers adding less and less water to create an ombre effect.  I die cut the 2 & 5 using My Favorite Thing's new  Stitched Numbers Die-namics  with some red foiled paper I had a few scraps of.  (I think the red foil paper in Heidi Swapp's  Oh What Fun Foil & Glitter paper pad  would be similar.)  I glued the numbers on with some glossy accents .  Then, I popped the entire water color panel with some fun foam onto a piece of patterned paper which I already adhered to my card base

Hello Ava Kate

Hey y'all!! I'm back, sharing another layout using some of that Wonder(ful) collection! I love love this collection and I just hadn't used enough so I decided to go back and use it for this layout featuring a maternity picture taken in front of a tee-pee. I began with a white background and some of the papers from the Wonder 6x6 paper-pad. I layered my photo, then added my title and ephemera from the same collection. I hope you all gain some inspiration from this layout and have a wonderful week! Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas, chalkboard style!

Well hello, friends! I hope your holiday plans and preparations are going swimmingly. Emily here today to show a super quick, super simple, but pretty elegant last minute holiday card for you. (If you're anything like me, you're scrambling to get those last minute cards finished and in the mail.)  Let's get started, shall we? The main thing to remember when trying to create a chalkboard effect, at least in my opinion, is that you should try to have a couple of different shades of white. On this particular card, I heat embossed the sentiment from Winnie and Walter's Merry and Bright stamp set with bright white embossing powder on a scalloped rectangle die cut. I added a few little holiday greenery accents in the same white embossing powder in the corners and on the bottom of the sentiment. To add to the general "chalkboard" look, I used a chalk marker  to add some lines around the edge of the rectangle to emphasize the sentiment, as well as some d

This stamp set is absolutely gorgeous.  I combined stamps from various companies to create my sentiment... "Wonderful" and the sequins ae from Honey Bee stamps- Beautiful life set. "New year" part is from Winnie & Walter stamps. "Wishing you" and the stars are from Hero Arts . I also used some copper sequins to match with the gorgeous embossing color. Hope you like this card idea!!! Make sure to check out the BRI store for latest good

Warm Wishes

Hello,  Brandi  here! I'm popping in with a warm and cozy holiday card to share with you today. I stamped this amazing sentiment and coffee cup from the  Neat and Tangled Warm Wishes stamp set  onto a piece of kraft cardstock.  Next I stamped the coffee cup onto a piece of patterned paper from the  Basic Grey Juniper Berry  line. I then cut it out and popped it up on the kraft panel. Last, I added a few more pieces of patterned paper and assembled everything together onto this fun and vibrant card base. What do you think? Thank You Fairy Much with Audrey

Hi there!   Audrey here with a whimsical fairy card to share with you!  As soon as I saw the new Pixie Dust set by Avery Elle, I knew I had to have it!  There is something so sweet and charming about these images... something magical, even for grownups. :) I knew I wanted to make a purple card... I don't know what it is lately, because purple isn't usually a color that I reach for often, but in the last little while, I can't seem to get enough!  I started off with a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper , and I diecut it with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die.  Then I used an ink blending tool and lilac Distress ink, starting off in the center of the panel, and blending it out lighter as I neared the edges of the paper.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut out the fairy and a bunch of clouds from the same stamp set.  I adhered the bigger clouds flat to the panel, and popped the fairy and smaller clouds up with foam tape.  Magical fairies need glittery wings, s

snow globe shaker ornaments

Hey guys,  Jung  here with you today.  I finally got around to making some cute snow globe shaker ornaments for my tree.  I even made a fun mason jar snow globe ornament! Aren't they just the cutest?!!! For these two snow globe ornaments, I used the Lawn Fawn  Ready, Set, Snow  stamp set and the  Add-on lawn cuts , and the Lawn Fawn  Toboggan Together  stamp set and the matching  lawn cuts . For the next snow globe, I used the mason jar stamp from the Waffle Flower Crafts  Good Stuff  stamp set, and the snowman is from the same Lawn Fawn  Ready, Set, Snow  stamp set I used. After stamping all the elements with Memento  tuxedo black ink, I did some coloring with my  Copic markers , and die cut all the images.  (For the mason jar, I fussy cut around the outside and inside of the stamped image.)  For my backgrounds, I used Tim Holtz distress inks  with my  mini ink blenders , and drew on some snow with a white gel pen.  I put all my shaker elements together
