Triple Pull Tab Hamster Card

Hi crafty friends! It's Jenn and I'm happy to back on the BRI blog sharing an interactive card with you today! As you can see, the new February Mama Elephant release has been a hit with the design team and we love creating cards with these cute hamsters!! When we were growing up, my brothers and I had a total of 12 hamsters over the years so these hamster stamps were an absolute must have for me! For this card, I stamped, colored, and die cut the images from Mama Elephant's Celebration Hamsters and Little Hamster Agenda . For the ground, I trimmed a piece of kraft cardstock and stamped it with Lawn Fawn's Woodgrain Backdrops in Versamark ink  and inked the edges with vintage photo Distress ink. To create the background, I cut a panel slightly smaller than 5x7 inches. I ink blended Distress Oxides ( tattered rose , worn lipstick , abandoned coral ) and then splattered with Lawn Fawn liquid stardust . The sentiment was stamped with Distress Oxide worn lipstick and cut

Mama Elephant's Mod Heart Two Ways

Hi Everyone, Peggy here with inspiration spotlighting the Mod Heart dies by Mama Elephant. These were in the January 2022 release and it's a super versatile set. I will be showing you two cards I made, using both the window that remains in the paper after cutting out the large heart, as well as using the pieces that pop out. Both of my cards feature the cute birthday cake hamster from the February 2022 release set Celebration Hamster , stamped with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with copic markers. Feel free to ask for copic numbers, if you are interested! Card 1 For my first card, I wanted to make a shaker. I took a piece of pretty paper fit for a birthday card. Mine was an Echo Park  6x6 patterned paper, with pinks, blues, yellows and black. But you can choose any paper you like and customize for any occasion. I cut the patterned paper using the wonky rectangle in the Mod Heart set. I saved the remaining piece of the patterned paper for my second card. I cut a second wonky

Fluffy, Puffy (Sparkly!) Unicorn Card

Hi there! Samantha here, and today I have another card inspired by the February Mood Board ! It's just too gorgeous to ignore! It's sooooo pretty! This time, I colored up some of the most adorable unicorns! I stamped and colored all of the images from Fluffy Puffy Unicorns from Heffy Doodle with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I fussy cut out all of the images, but I could have used the c oordinating dies to die cut them out! For the background, I used Fog Cardstock from Lawn Fawn ! I added that amazing sparkle with the Nuvo Glimmer Paste - Moonstone and the Rays the Roof Stencil ! Oh so sparkly! I also added some teeny, tiny sequin stars in gold! Finally, the sentiment was heat embossed in black onto some vellum ! Be sure to play along with this month's Mood Board , too! Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me! ~ Samantha

Spring Blooms by Gladys

Hello friends! Gladys here and I'm back today to show you how I made this cheerful slimline card using mostly dies. I'm so ready for Spring and I cannot wait to see all the blooms this time of the year, so I decided to create a flower garden.  First I ink blended the background using picked raspberry , abandoned coral and scattered straw distress oxide inks. To add interest I diluted seedless preserves with water and used a small paint brush to splatter onto the card panel. I also used Gansai Tambi watercolors for the white speckles. Next I die cut the florals from colored cardstocks then used distress oxide inks to add more depth. For the bigger flowers I used seedless preserves , wilted violet for the tulips and lucky clover for the leaves and stems. I also die cut a couple of elements - a fence and grass border for the scene. I wanted this card to be whimsical so I thought it would be fun to add faces to the flowers.  To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment onto a

Yippee Birthday Card

Hi everybody! It's Cassie from Creatively Cass, back today to share a card I made with you. Today's card was inspired by a card I made a long time ago where I had a volcano shaker. I wanted to do a similar design except this time I wanted the shaker to be coming out of the bottom of a piñata, as if it were breaking open. Here's a look at the final card.  I love the rainbow colors on this and the fun interactive element. I haven't made a shaker card in so long, I was definitely reteaching myself some things today! I started with a piece of kraft card stock and die cut a stitched rectangle from it. I used the MFT stencil Watercolor Wash Rectangle and Distress Oxide inks Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, and Wild Honey to get this cute watercolor centerpiece on the card. From there I used a ruler and craft knife to cut a triangle in the lower middle portion of the card. I tried so hard to measure and make it centered and even, however that is not my stro

Hugs & Kisses Card by Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a cute slimline card featuring some adorable bunnies from the Sunny Studio Bunnyville set . This set is perfect for Easter cards but can be used for many other occasions, as I am showing today. The base panel is easy to make with the Slimline Meadows die from Whimsy Stamps . This die is amazing since it creates a whole background scene at once. The large tree die cut is also included in this set, and I decided to make mine extra ‘fluffy’ with lots of green layers. I used my Copic markers to give the tree and the grassy borders some dimension and structure. The colors I used are listed below. Next, I stamped the cute bunnies, butterfly, and carrots from the set onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and did some more Copic coloring. Copics used Tree         E15, E18, G14, YG05, YG17 Bunny      T1, T3, T5, T7, R20 Carrot       E08, YR68, YR16, Y38, G14, YG05, YG17 Flowers    BV02, V06, Y06, Y19 Butterfly    Y06, Y19 I inked up the sky

Eat Cake with a Hamster 🐹

Crafty Folks! Hi! It’s Marie again and today I am sharing a card I was so excited to create because I love Hamsters!!! When Mama Elephant revealed that some of their February product Release would be hamster/ birthday themed, I flipped and knew I needed all of it!  I had to create a birthday card using the newest Release from Mama Elephant called  Celebration Hamsters  as well as the  Celebration Hamsters Creative Cuts  . I also used the new  "Party Scene Cover Creative Cuts" Die  This die is so so so amazing!!!  This card is very simple and was super easy to put together. I chose to only use one image from the  Celebration Hamsters Stamp Set  as my focal point and colored it using water color pencils. I then cut A2 sized panels from 110 lb cardstock and pattern paper using the Waffle Flower  A2 Layers Dies  . I then cut out my background die using  gold Cardstock . I arranged everything and added some embellishments using  Studio Katia Iridescent Bubbles  . The world bubble
Hi! I'm Lorena and here I am again, I come to show you a new card made with materials by Lawn Fawn, I really wanted to use these stamps and here you have how it has been! For the card I have used the Quilted Heart Backdrop  die of hearts, in white cardboard combined with another in green! I have also used the Stitched Scalloped Circle  to add background along with some hearts from the Scalloped Circle Gift Tag  set 😊 All the stamps are made up of three different sets, all by Lawn Fawn, one of my favorite brands. Use the set  Scent With Love Add-On  to add the cupcakes, the set  Milk and Cookies  using juice, biscuits and milk and finally, the set  Cerealsly Awesome  for cereals and one of your phrase feelings!  Finally, I used a Mama Elephant die to add the phrases to the card,  Bold Banner , it's my favorite banner, and a basic we should all have!! 😁 I always like to use the beautiful Petite Gingham  of My Favorite Things! I hope you like my card, thank you for reading me an

One of a Kind Rainbow Card

Hello! Samantha here, and today I'm excited to share my take on the February Mood Board ! The colors are so pretty and soft and whimsical! Don't you agree? Sigh, so pretty! For my card, I went with textures and whimsical and flowy-ness! I used alcohol inks in some golds and a mauve color all on some Yupo Paper . Love that whimsical background! Once it was dry, I used some white embossing paste and the Let's Go Camping Under the Stars stencil from Echo Park . I die cut out some rainbow arches using the Magical Rainbow die from MFT ! I added an ombre of color with Black Soot and Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Inks. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns Stamp Set onto some vellum , and then finished off the card with some natural twine! Hope you play along with the Mood Board challenge this month! You can find all of the details here! Enjoy! ~ Samantha

Hamster Party Boxcard with Davina

Hello crafty friends! Davina here, with a Hamster filled celebration using the new  Mama Elephant  release, and it’s all available now at  Butterfly Reflections Ink . I can’t get enough of these adorable party critters and wanted to markers something special for my post. As I do most times, I’m also using the current BRI Moodboard colors. This color board is a moody romantic collection of grays, pink, and gold. I went with some softer tones for my coloring and just love it.  I love the Mama Elephant  Ornate House CC  die, and have used it many times to make shaker cards. But, I wanted to use the larger Images from  Celebration Hamsters  in addition to the cute and tiny  Little Hamster Agenda  stamps, so I knew I would have to get creative.  I decided to play “Dr. Frankenstein” and combine the A2 sized  Ornate House CC  , with the boxcard portions of the  Slim Scene Builder . I’m going to list some step by step directions so you can build you own.  1. Cut A2 sized panel from sturdy ca

MFT - A Friend Like You

Hi everyone! It's Cassie here, from CreativelyCass.vI'm excited to be back sharing cards with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink for the next few months :) Vanessa asked me if I could fill in, and of course I was thrilled to do so and dip my toes back in the card making universe after being absent for so long. Today I have a card to share with you using some of the awesome products found in her shop. Let's take a look at the card. I love the animal stamps that MFT has, and I couldn't resist using these cats from the Cat-astrophe stamp set. I stamped out four of the cat images from the set using one of my fave brown inks from Catherine Pooler: Icing on the Cake . Then I used my copic markers to color them all in. Every now and then I love the softer lines of the brown ink instead of going with my standard black ink. Once they were colored I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Next I used some colored cardstock and kraft cardstock from Lawn Fawn to create the bac

Big sentiment birthday card by Gladys

Hello crafty friends! This is Gladys and I'm so excited to be back on the BRI blog and I will be sharing weekly projects with you for this term. Today is a special day for me because it's my birthday. YAY!! Of course, I have a birthday card to share featuring products from Mama Elephant. I started by ink blending the main card panel using Bristol smooth cardstock. This is my favorite paper for ink blending because it's so smooth and easily blend colors together. I used distress oxide inks in shaded lilac and kitsch flamingo . I then splattered some water and diluted shaded lilac for added interest. I stamped the images from Boba Tea set onto a sheet of Spectrum Noir card stock with MFT milk chocolate ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. For the sentiment I used the big Happy Birthday die . I love this die because it's one piece so you don't have to worry about lining things back together. I cut it 3x on white card

BIG HUGS from a Yeti

Happy Hello Crafty Folks! My name is Marie and I am super stoked to be posting as a new member of the Butterfly Design Team! Yey!   My first card is inspired by the Butterfly Reflections ink Mood Board   for the month of February. These muted tones of dusty rose, grey, and vintage gold prompted me to create this soft and playfully elegant Yeti card.  This adorable Yeti is from the stamp set entitled “Me and My Yeti” from Mama Elephant. This stampset can be found on the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop  here  . The coordinating dies can be found in the shop  here  .  The adorable  Doily Lace Creative cuts   from Mama Elephant is also available in the shop.  Putting this card together was super simple. After coloring all my elements, I Cut A2 size panels and pattern paper using the  Waffle Flower A2 Layers Dies . I also die cut my Doily lace frame from  gold cardstock . The alphabet dies used for my sentiment is from Hello Blue bird. The big letters are the  Large Charlie Alphas  and the
