Using my crafty stash to create for my little one...

Hey everyone! This is Kristy and today I decided to use some items from my stash to create some hair clips and hair ties for my little stinker! This Maggie Holmes die set made it SUPER simple!!! You can find it > HERE < I also used a piece of felt, an old shirt, some hair ties, a clip, and some thread. I used my Cuttlebug and my well LOVED plates to cut out all the pieces, I did have to add an extra piece of card stock as a shim. Then I used my hot glue gun to glue the pieces together. I used some thread to wind around the pieces, this will help hold them in place as you attach them to the clip. Simply add some hot glue to the clip and attach the smallest piece around the bow and clip. I also thought it would be cute to add a small silver heart from the We R Memory Keepers enamel shapes. You can find them > HERE < I followed all of the same steps for the hair ties. I love how they turned out! And so does my little

Keeping it Simple

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Lisa here today with a simple and straight forward layout to share with you.  Sometimes I like to keep my layouts very clean and simple and let my photos do all of the talking, so I wanted to share how I have used lots of Heidi Swapp products to do just that... 1)  I started by lining the 6 x 6 papers next to each other and created my own 12 x 12 patterned paper... 2)  Then since I was going to be working with beach photos I wanted to add some texture, so I used my finger and applied some of the white embossing paste... ( you can't see it in a large photo, but you can see it in person and in this close up picture) 3)  Finally I went back and added my photos and embellishments... I love how easy the Heidi Swapp products were to mix and match.  And if you are looking for lots of embellishments in one pack I highly recommend the Heidi Swapp Favorite Things Ephemera Pack !  Happy Crafting!

Clean & Simple NEON

Hello Blogosphere!!! It's Tiffany here today and I have a Clean & Simple NEON card for ya, so get those shades out! This card was a wee bit of a labor of love... I had draw! Gasp* I own a million dies and digital files and not a single paint brush?! So... 1. I sketched out the brush tip and the brush handle on cardstock & cut them out. 2. I took a stamp from the Paper Smooches Positive Strokes stamp set and stamped both my card front and my fake paint brush tip in various Radiant NEON Inks ( electric coral , electric yellow , electric green, electric blue , electric purple ). 3. I used my scissors to create bristles on my fake paint brush tip. 4. Then, I stamped the sentiment ( Lawn Fawn's Dream Stamp Set ) in black Memento Luxe, popped up the the completed fake paint brush on 3D foam squares, and added sequins & a twine bow! I'm feeling pretty good about this card! Hope I've inspired you to use those NEON inks!

The Everyay Page

Hi everyone! Shawna here with another layout. This time I am sharing an everyday 12x12. I will admit it. I tend to like the everyday, non event scrapping best.  I like to enjoy the event more so than trying to get good photos of it. With everyday photos I feel like I get better shots.  For this layout I started out with some off white cardstock, wood veneers , and some mist.  I just laid the veneers on my background to act as a mask. It breaks up the solid background and adds a little more interest.     For the rest of the page I used the Fancy Pants As You Wish 6x6 paper. Just a few small strips.  I also used the die cuts from this collection.  I felt the blue in this line went really well with the sky in the photo.  Some other products I used were the Studio Calico Atlantic Cork circle stickers , Lemon Lush clips , Wanderlust Label stickers , and the Pebbles Basics Thickers in green glitter .  Stop by the store and check out all these fun products! As always, I hope

Bonus Project

Hi everyone! Surprise! It's me Shawna, back with a bonus project.  I just completed a mini album for Easter this year and am sharing with you all today.  I used a Dear Lizzy 6x8 album but you could substitute what you like.  I am not usually a mini album person but with all these Easter photos I took I thought this might be a fun option.  I did a simple cover with some ribbon, Mister Huey's and some wood veneers. I also added a Dear Lizzy wood button.    This mini starts out with a transparency page which I think looks neat over my title page.  I used the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer 6x6 a lot in this mini. On this page I also added an Atlantic Cork circle from the store.    For my first page spread I used egg dyeing photos of the kids.  This is an open album without many page protectors so I made sure everything was glued down well.  (More store products include Amy Tangerine Watercolor Thickers , Maggie Holmes resin flowers, and Dear Lizzy large tags)

stitching on paper!

Hello there! Samantha here again, and today I'm super excited about the card I get to share with you all! I used lots of Lawn Fawn for my card - and guess what? All of the Lawn Fawn goodies can be found right in the store ! I used the insta-frame from the Awesome stamp set, and then layered a bunch of them so they looked like a bunch of gathered pictures! The US map (one of my FAVORITE images ever!) was placed inside one of the frames and that image is from Wish You Were Here ! I added wink of stella and glossy accents to two of the states (the sender and recipient!) to add a little subtle touch of love! To create the sentiment I hand stitched on my card! Now, I use my sewing machine all of the time, but I haven't ever tried the hand stitched technique that is so popular now! And I LOOOOVE it!! It was so fun and easy to do! I used the negative from this Scripty Hello die and lightly traced the word with a pencil onto my card base. Then I poked holes

I just called to say....

Hey Everyone, its Trish here again with another card for you! When I first saw the phone on the Pink Paislee Switch Board Stamp and Die set, I knew it was a set I needed in my collection.  So I decided to make the telephone a focal point in my card. I decided to use some Memento Luxe Inks to create a row of telephones.  I first stamped the telephone on a post it note and then fussy cut it out.  I then stamped the first phone in pear tart, layer the post it note mask over it and then continued the process and stamped in various colors. I wanted the navy blue to really stand out, so I used the die in the set to create a window.  To give it a little more interest, I covered the navy phone in glossy accents.  I also added some other stamps from the set onto the front of my card, along with an enamel dot. I wanted to keep the inside of my card pretty simple but wanted to finish off the outside greeting with a "hello" speech bubble and heart. Hope you all enjoyed

Black and White Plus Gold

Hello, Lisa here today with a layout to share.  I am always creating layouts with lots of colors, and most often than not, lots of bright colors.  So today I challenged myself to create a layout using only three colors: black, white, and gold.  The first thing I thought of was the MME Record It! Charmed Collection , and how perfect this collection would be for my personal challenge. Supplies: MME Record It! Charmed 6 x 6 paper pad Charmed Enamel Dots Avery Elle Simply Tags Christmas Stamp Set VersaMark Ranger Perfect Pearls Gold Studio Calico Printshop Fabric Bow Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm Black Thickers Some techniques I used: 1. To create my gold "dots" I stamped the small circles with versamark onto the cardstock and painted the perfect pearls gold over top of them. 2. When creating a 12 x 12 layout and you only have a 6 x 6 paper pad to work with you can always two sheets of the same design side by side and cover where they meet.   3. Create mov

Stamps and Rub ons

It's me, Shawna today.  I have a fairly quick 8.5x11 layout share today using rub ons and stamps, but also some clustering using both along with some fun embellishments. The cloud stamps come from the Paper Smooches Spectrum set.  I used Hero Arts navy and Memento Luxe ink.   I love clustering on scrapbook pages though sometimes it is difficult to get it to look just right.   I think this was fairly successful!  I put together a few rub ons from Maggie Holmes  with the bow and added some mists as well.        I also clustered together a few embellishments on the right side of the page.  I used the Dear Lizzy wood buttons and orange flower and a Maggie Holmes gold flower   I hope you have enjoyed this little bit of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by!

transparency sheets on cards

Hello again! It's Samantha here to share another card to chase away any Monday blues you may be feeling!  I decided to use one of the Studio Calico Transparency Sheets as part of my card base!  I LOVE white space on a card, but sometimes I want just a little bit something extra, too! The transparency sheets are the answer, people!! So here's my card: The transparency is attached to a white card base, and then popped up! so FUN! And it adds a little extra wilderness scene for my prancing unicron!  And oh, that unicorn...it's from the Paper Smooches Spectrum set!! A set that ANYONE who grew up in the 80's should have! lol!!  i used some papers (and a strip of vellum!) from the Echo Park Hello Again 6x6 pad - LOOOOOVE that collection! The colors are incredible! And the patterns are SO trendy! Speaking of trendy, did you see the cluster of wood buttons and stickers? Those are from the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer collection ! you can use the

Love you Tons - mini cards

Hey Everyone!  Its Trish again and I'm back with some 'mini' 3"x3" cards. Every so often, I like to include little cards in my hubby's lunch box for work.  I like to think that it brings a smile to his face :)  And once my daughter is old enough to start school, I'll be doing the same thing for her. So today, I'll be showing you a couple of cards that I created using stamp sets from Lawn Fawn. For both cards I used the "Love you Tons" sentiment from the "Love you Tons" stamp set.  But I used the images from both that stamp set and "Year Four". (the hippo is just Adorable!) I decided to paper piece all of the images using the Lawn Fawn paper pad "Bright Side". I made fringe with some of the green pattern paper to create grass at the bottom of my cards and fussy cut the critters out.  But to make it easy, you can use the dies for these 2 sets to cut them out.  (you can find them here & here

Happy Birthday Layers

Hello Blogosphere! It's Tiffany here again today and this time I'm sharing a card I created using the Kaisercraft Captured Moments 3"x4" Snapshot Journaling Cards ! I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Awesome stamp set & inked the edges using that totally awesome completely trendy Delicata Golden Glitz Ink ! I paired the 2 journaling cards with some fun die-cutting, creating both a star-window to the worded journaling card and several vellum stars. As for embellishments, I incorporated a smattering of Lawn Fawn's Sequins Lawn Ornaments ( Let's Polka & Hello Sunshine ), some fun twine, and mini clothespins! So what do you think? I bet you're ready to create a layer-ilicious card for yourself (or someone else)! Thanks for stopping by, Materials: Kasiercraft Captured Moments 3"x4" Snapshot Journaling Cards , Lawn Fawn ( Awesome Stamp Set , Let's Polka & Hello Sunshine Sequins
