A Fairy Christmas

Hello everyone, I'm so excited to be here this month with you all.   I thought I would start on my Christmas cards a bit early this year.  Mind you, this doesn't mean that I will get them all done in time but at least I'm trying. I have been loving interactive cards lately and I have to admit that I did have a hard time at first with these.  Just trying to figure out the logistics of each card and what I want it to sure makes my brain work but it's so much fun! I coloured in the sweet little fairy with my copics and set her aside.  I coloured the background with distress ink (peacock feathers & seedless preserve) and die cut the panel with the largest LF stitched rectangle die.  I took the slide on over dies and found the one that matches the town boarder and die cut that as well.  I then added two layers of fun foam to the back making sure to leave enough room for my penny to slide back and forth. A helpful tip is to make sure you add in the penny BEFORE

Sending Hugs Li'l Monkey

Hi there lovely peeps. How's it going? Vera here today for your weekend inspiration.  One of my favorite kind of card to make are interactive card, especially the kind that  make people say how does it work? Like this magic slider card. ;) I think this would be such a fun card to give to kids and adults alike. For this card, I used a set that's close to my heart, because this set from SugarPea Designs called Caring Critters  is part of sets designed specifically for my Caring Hearts Card Drive  (that is going on full swing right now and you have 1 more month to send in your cards). We started with just designing sentiment set, then we got way excited and ended up with extra set. Because after all, what could be better than cute critter caring happy mail, right? And, with the sale of this set, portion of the profit is donated to Alzheimer Association. It kind of hard to see, but the background actually stamped with MFT Etched Flower Background Stamp . If yo

Monster Love

Happy Friday everyone! Gladys here and I'm back with another card for you today. I used the  Monster Love stamp set from My Favorite Things which I intended to make as a Halloween card but turned into a bright and colorful all occasion card. So this is what my card look like: For my background I distressed it with picked raspberry , cracked pistachio , squeezed lemonade and abandoned coral . The stamp set comes with 5 cute little monster that stamps solid images. I stamped all of them with various MFT inks using the MISTI tool and cut them with the coordinating dies . I loved the sentiments from this stamp set because you can use it for different occasions. I centered the sentiment then heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I then positioned all the monsters around the sentiment and adhered them using Tombow mono liquid glue . To complete my card panel I added a scallop frame border. That is all from me today. I enjoyed making this fun and colorful card. I hop

Lacey Leafy Thank You Cards

Hello, there! It's Lynnea back with a few more cards using the  Lace Leaf  stamp set from Concord & 9th. I love how versatile this set is! Remember that you can pick it up in the  Butterfly Reflections, Ink Shop  when you're done here! Here's my first card. The leaves are finally falling and there's a chill in the air up here in NE Pennsylvania! This is one of my favorite times of year (second only to Christmastime!). I started this card by using the Lace Leaf  stamp set to stamp some orange/red ink and some yellow/orange ink to make an ombre leafy background at the top left and bottom right of my card. I embossed the leaf overlay with  Versamark  ink and some  gold embossing powder . I stamped the sentiment with  Memento Tuxedo Black  ink and that was it! I wanted to take this autumn stamp set and make it not-so-autumny. So I stamped the leaf image repeatedly with Versamark ink on some teal paper and embossed the panel with  white embossing powder .

Like There's No Manana

Good morning everyone! It's Cassie here, and I'm back with two fun cards to share with you. Today's cards feature the fun My Favorite Things set Llama Love stamp set and the Mini Fringe  die. I wanted to create a card that had the texture of a piñata, and that had a piñata on the card front. Here's what I came up with:    I made the two cards with the same basic layout, but varied the color combinations that I used. For both cards I die cut enough of the fringe pieces to cover a card front. Then I took my Distress Inks and applied color with my mini ink blenders . You have to be careful when doing this because the little pieces are easily bent. For the first card I only applied the color at the bottom of the fringe to keep the card front plain enough for the colorful piñata. Then I spritzed them with water to get a splattered/distressed look. Next I stamped two of the llamas from the stamp set onto some Neenah Solar White Cardstock. I colored one in with

Let's Hang Out

Karen B. here from The Bald Dragonfly , and I first want to thank everyone who entered my birthday giveaway  and left sweet comments (winner posted below)! It was a great week for sure. I have a fun and cute card today showcasing stamps and dies from a mix of companies that are available at the shop ! First, I stamped the cute dog images from MFT's You Make My Tail Wag Stamp Set and colored them up with  Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers . Onto some red cardstock, I stenciled a brick pattern with MFT's Small Brick Wall Stencil  and Fired Brick Distress Ink . I mounted the panel onto a white card base (with the fold on the left, instead of the top) and die cut a circle in the upper center. Then I die cut a series of circles from Waffle Flower's Flowers Circle Inverted Dies in white paper and layered these on the front panel. I stamped and heat embossed in white a sentiment from Neat & Tangled's Better Together Stamp Set onto black cardstock and attached thi

Wicked Halloween!

Hello, everyone!!   Laurie  here to share a Halloween card with you.  First off, let me admit that I am not a fan of Halloween. I know, right??!!  Deep down I want to like it but.... However, I did have a blast making this card.  I used an actual Halloween stamp set and a not even remotely close to a Halloween set. This is where my thought process started. I started by going through scraps of cardstock to find halloween colors (that cardstock is actually purple).  I used the  First Step Stamp Set  and  Co-ordinating Dies  from Waffle Flower.   I then stamped the shoe images again on white cardstock and drew "stockings". I coloured the stripes with my alcohol markers.  Can you see where I'm going with this?? :)   To create a custom sentiment for my card, I used the  Peek A Boo Stamp Set  from The Greeting Farm.  I only used the "Have A" and "Halloween" portions of the "Have a Magical Halloween" sentiment.  For the custom

Sending Hugs Slider Card

Hi there lovely peeps. Vera here. So, lately I am kind of into interactive card. After all, I just finished the Wild Card class from Online Classes that is all about interactive card. One of my favorite is the slider card. Now, here's a look at my card at first glance.  For this card, I used  and Altenew Beautiful Day  set. It's such a beautiful set and I thought it's perfect for slider card. For starter, I stamped the image on 2 panels using  Misti tool . The 1st panel, I adhere to the card base and the 2nd one I die cut for the frame and the insert  using  MFT Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames As you slide out the insert, it will slowly reveal the colored scene behind it. And, tadaaa... prettiness revealed. Actually, I kind of loving how it looks without the slider. But, hey, the slider make it fun, don't you think? Well peeps, that's all from me today. Short and to the point. What can I say, we finally have pretty

It's a happy day

It's a happy day! Yes indeed cause it's Friday and I don't have to work my part time job this weekend. Whoo hoo!    Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by, Gladys here and I have this fall card to share with you today. My neighborhood is full of maple trees and everyday the leaves turn into a bright red color. I just love it! I didn't get to experience the seasons growing up because I lived in Hawaii which was not bad at all. =) But as much as I love the warm sunny weather I also enjoy the cooler temperature and fall colors.    I built a simple scene for this card with two critters from Lawn Fawn Jump for Joy stamp set. I also added a few dies from My Favorite Things.   For my background I blended pine needles , evergreen bough, cracked pistachio  and squeezed lemonade distress inks. I die cut the trees and distressed it with aged mahogany, abandoned coral , fossilized amber and rusty hinge. The branches and fence were die cut from brown cardstock. I st

Are You YETI for Christmas?!

I am! I'm YETI for Christmas! Haha! Hello! Lynnea here with a card project featuring the new My Favorite Things Beast Friends stamp set. This is a must have for Christmas and everything else! These little Yetis are to DIE for! Let's get started! Remember to head over to the  Butterfly Reflections, Ink Shop  to pick up any or all of the supplies I've used! Here's my card! I started by stamping out images from the new  MFT Beast Friends  stamp set using  Memento Tuxedo Black  ink. I colored them with various  Copic markers  and cut them out with scissors. Don't worry! If you're not a fussy cutter, the shop has the matching dies in stock  HERE . I used the  MFT Stitched Snow Drifts Dies  to cut out two hills and the  Lawn Fawn Little Town Border Die  to make a little town in the background. I wanted to give some color to my houses, so I used a blender tool to add three colors of Distress Ink to my houses: Crushed Olive,  Evergreen Bough , and  Peacock Feathe

Be Merry

Hi everyone! It's Cassie here and I have a fun wintery card to share with you today! I got these adorable little snowman from Poppy Stamps recently and I've been really excited to use him ever since. Let's take a look at the card! I started making this card by taking a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and die cutting the Avery Elle Just a Note die on the front that only pierces little dots into the surface and does not cut the paper. I die cut it twice to make two offset rectangles. Next I stamped the little snowman from the Love Never Melts  set all over the card front. I made sure to mask off the area where the rectangles were.   Next I die cut the words "be merry" from another Avery Elle die set called Holly Jolly . This set is awesome because it has the cutest font with some interchangeable sentiments. I colored the snowmen in using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush  markers. I hope you enjoyed the card today! How many cards do you have made to send out

Birthday Hedgehugs **GIVEAWAY!**

Sending Birthday Hedgehugs today...to me! Karen B. here from The Bald Dragonfly , and today is my birthday! I couldn't wait to ink up the adorable Happy Hedgehogs Stamp Set from My Favorite Things in celebration...and I have a birthday giveaway to offer today, too ! (See the end of the post for details!) I started by inking Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper with distress inks, then added some water splatters. I then die cut a slider element using MFT's Circle Spinner Channels . I colored the hedgehog and stump with  Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers  and die cut using the coordinating Happy Hedgehogs Die-namics . I also die cut the Happy Birthday Die-Namics in white paper and stamped, white heat embossed the remainder of the sentiment onto the log. To assemble the card, I used  dimensional adhesive  on the back of the card panel and onto a white cardstock base. I adhered a MFT Spin & Slide Disc onto the back of the hedgehog with a penny and s

Be Merry Florals - 4 Ways!

Hello everyone and welcome back!!  Today  I'm  back with not one, but FOUR cards for you today!!  This is the first time I've made multiple cards at once. I wanted to see how I could take a Christmas stamp set and use it for all four seasons. I got my WPlus9 winter release order (in super fast time, I might add!) and couldn't wait to play with it!  I was in the mood to do some good ol' fashioned stamping and die cutting so I decided to use the  Be Merry Florals  stamp set and  Be Merry Floral Dies .  This is a little set that is packed with the sweetest floral images, including some layering stamps! I used the same design for each card. The basic A2, top folding base with a small stitched panel using the  4 Bar Stitched Rectangle Die Set .  I stamped and die cut the images in four different color combinations:  Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. I prepared the stitched rectangle for each card by lightly ink blending one of the colors I used to stamp the flowers
