Wintery Birthday Slimline Card

Hi! Happy Sunday! Hope y'all are having a great weekend, I'm popping in here quickly to share a masculine birthday card using some holiday stamps! Yes, holiday stamps!  I colored (and fussy cut) the penguins and the little gift from Pretty Pink Posh's Penguin Pals  stamp set, along with the little hats and balloons from the Birthday Friends  stamp set. I used a blue - green color palette to make the card more masculine.  Then I used the  Slimline Frames & Windows Dies  to cut out the squares and ink blended the  Birthday Background Stencil  using some green ink and stamped a sentiment from the  Birthday Friends  stamp set. To assemble the card I started with a slimline cardbase (8.5 x 3.5) in a darker blue, layered with a scalloped rectangle die cut from  Slimline Frames & Portholes Dies , then I added the inked squares as a background of the penguins (which I adhered using foam tape for some added dimension) Here's a close up of the little penguins!  Thanks for

A Really Chill Birthday with Peggy

Hi everyone! Peggy here! My birthday is coming up February 2nd, Yay! For the occasion I'm sharing a birthday card featuring the cute sloth from the Lawn Fawn mini set Hang in there . I started by blending a background with some distress oxide colors, fossilized amber, squeezed lemonade and tumbled glass (my most used color!). Next I cut the Lawn Fawn Lift the flap tree backdrop from some Paperbag cardstock and distressed the edges of the trees and frame with some Tea dye distress ink . I cut some clouds from the Stitched Rainbow standalone die set and cut pieces of paper to put behind the tree flaps and a little ground from some Cilantro cardstock . I colored the edges of both with distress oxide Pine Needles. I stamped the images with some Jet Black ink by Lawn Fawn and colored with copics. The little stack of presents is from the Home for the holidays set and the cake is from Elphie Selfie . I created the sentiment by using Wow white embossing powder on some Black licorice c

Have a Mice Valentine's Day!

Hey crafty friends! It’s Julia here with with a Valentine’s Day card! For this one I used the adorable mice from Lawn Fawn’s Crazy Antics , Dandy Day and Really High Five as well as the How you Bean jar and the Hearts Add-On ! First I stamped my images onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them in using Copic Markers . The hearts are from the Special Delivery Box Add- On and the Winter Village stamp sets and the fishing pole is from Beary Happy Holidays . I die cut two cloud borders and a few puffy clouds out of white cardstock. After that I ink blended Spun Sugar , Worn Lipstick , Seedless Preserves and a tiny bit of Black Soot Distress Oxide onto a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock. I also added lots of splatters of Liquid Stardust for extra shine. Then, I added a tiny bit of Spun Sugar Oxide on the edges of the clouds. I stamped the sentiment from the How You Bean Heart Add-On with Seedless Preserves onto the lowest cloud border. Then, I added the cloud borders,

Hi crafty friends! Beata June here, and I'm excited to share this new project with you today on the blog.   I bought lots of Christmas/holiday stamps to make Thanksgiving and Christmas cards, but I didn't send any holiday cards out! (oops!) 😆  So I decided to use my Paperie Ink holiday stamps to make this  non-holiday slimline card.   Stamp sets used: Paperie Ink Santa Baby , Like Christmas ,  Many Thanks , Build a X-mas Tree , and Autumn Fun stamp sets. More Mood Board Inspiration with Farhana

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's Farhana  and I'm back again with some more Mood Board inspiration.  You can find my card from last week, here . Last week's card was little more color intensive, so decided to keep it 'simple' this week! Sometimes it's nice to finish a card in one go!  I started by heat embossing the "LOVE" image from Pretty Pink Posh's Love stamp set using rose gold embossing powder . Then I inked it up with distress oxides in Cracked Pistachio and Spun Sugar . Then die cut them using the coordinating dies . to assemble the card I added a lattice background cut from some navy paper on to a A2 card base, and then added the die cut letters using foam tape. Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to tag us at #BRImoodboardchallenge on instagram so we can see your projects and for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Butterfly Reflections Ink!   Happy crafting! Cute Bookmarks with Butterfly Kisses

Hi everyone! It's Peggy here and today I am sharing two cute bookmarks with images from the Lawn Fawn Butterfly Kisses and Den Sweet Den stamp sets. I am an avid reader and find myself in need of new bookmarks all the time. They are also fun as a small gift or to accompany a book you are gifting to a friend. I was thrilled with the release of the Den Sweet Den stamp set because it is currently the only Lawn Fawn set featuring books.  You can make these bookmarks in any size you like. I used 12x12 paper, but you can also use a 6x6 paper pad. I used the Into the Woods remix paper pack.  I cut the patterned paper and some white cardstock with my guillotine trimmer. First I used Violet's ABCs to spell out the bookish quotes. I cut the white cardstock just under the quote. You can use any type of die you like for this. I used a speechbubble die and a cloud die. Behind the small opening I stuck a different piece of patterned paper and distressed the upper edge of the bottom panel u

Fun in the kitchen

The Made With Love collection from Doodlebug is ridiculously cute! I just can't get enough! I've made 3 cards using a similar design. For all of them I used Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables and Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables by Lawn Fawn to make the cabinet and drawers. The greetings on all are from the Big Scripty Words stamps and dies by Lawn Fawn. I've used Fox Costumes Before n Afters , Baked With Love , Unicorn Picnic and Big Thanks For Hero Arts all by Lawn Fawn. I colored everything with my Copic markers. For this first card I incorporated the Bake Me Happy Doodlepops . These Doodlepops are all so cute! Gah! I need them allllll.  I just love the papers in the Made With Love 6x6 paper pad by Doodlebug so much! This plaid is the absolute caaautest. Yes, that's a word. ;)  I used a Sakura Gelly Roll white pen to add little details here and there. And to finish, I used Glossy Accents to make some bits shiny.  I hope you have a wonderful week! With Love From All the Reverse Confetti Critters!

Hi crafty friends! Beata June here, and I'm excited to be back with you on the blog today sharing how I made this card with some of my favorite Reverse Confetti stamps critters! Aren't these critters so adorable? The cute critters were stamped from these Reverse Confetti stamp sets:   Cookies & Milk ,  Lemonade Stand ,  Flowers for a Friend ,  Yuletide Mice  and Party Pals.  The flower stand was stamped from the  Flowers for a Friend  stamp set.  I stamped the lemonade stand and lemonade sign from the  Lemonade Stand  stamp set ( coordinating die available here ).  The baskets of fruit, lemons, leaves, flower pots, and flower baskets were stamped from the Reverse Confetti  Lemonade Stand ,  Flowers for a Friend , and  Cookies & Milk  stamp sets.  After I stamped my images using my mini stamping tool , I colored them with copic markers and cut them out. To make my background, I blended various distress oxide inks ( Wilted Violet , Shaded Lilac , Spun Sugar , Tumbled Gla

BRI Moodboard inspiration with Davina

Hello crafty friends! Davina here on the blog, with a super sweet filled card using Mama Elephants stamps and dies and the wonderful January BRI Moodboard colors.  I know this card could easily be a sweet filled valentine or friendship card, but I needed a birthday card and it works perfectly. Not being a cake lover myself, I often want different delights when it is my turn to celebrate. And all everything on this card looks yummy enough to eat!  I have so many incredible Mama Elephant stamp sets that I haven’t used yet so I felt it was time to pop them open and get coloring. The images in the newer  Milkshake Stamp Set  are so cute and large, that I didn’t need to combine them with any other sets to create a full scene. I stamped all of the images using the  Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf Ink  for a nice light brown outline. I color everything in shades of Pink, mint, navy blue, and rosy tan earth color to represent the rose gold.  I use the coordinating die cuts to cut out my images then hi

Frosty Fairy Friends!

Hey crafty friends! It’s Julia here with magical (and frosty!) scene card! I hope you are not sick of wintery cards yet! I realized that I have barely used the adorable Frosty Fairy Friends from Lawn Fawn, so I thought it was finally time to do so!  First I stamped my images onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them in using Copic Markers . Then I die cut the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies three times out of white cardstock and layered them for extra dimension. I also die cut grassy borders and birch trees . The dies I used are currently out of stock, but the ones from Sunny Studio Stamps or Lawn Fawn or would work perfectly as well! I added a few stripes with my markers onto the trees to add a little more interest. After that, I ink blended Spun Sugar , Worn Lipstick , Dusty Concord , Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide onto a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock for a vibrant, magical winter sky. I also added lots of splatters of Liquid Stardust for more

Mood Board Inspiration with Farhana

Hey everyone! Today I'm sharing a Valentine's Day card inspired by the mood board . Check out this month's gorgeous mood board created by Amanda!  I was inspired by the color scheme, who doesn't like rose gold, along with the dark blue starry background (didn't add stars, just lots of shine!) To create the card I started by stamping both the heart wreaths from the Large Floral Hearts  stamp set with a light copic friendly ink. I left the stamps in my stamp positioner so I could restamp after coloring. I colored using pink and teal copic combos (RV13-21, 21-02, 23-04, 02-00 and BG 13-11), and then embossed using rose gold embossing powder . Then die cut them using the coordinating dies . To create the background I used the  Love Background Stencil  to emboss a piece of navy card stock. This is a great way to stretch your supplies!  To assemble the card, I layered the floral heart die cuts with some foam tape, added Midnight Black Jewels , and an embossed sentiment on

A Beary Special No Line Coloring Card

Hi there! It's Peggy here. Today I want to show you a card with this super cute stamp set called Beary Special Birthday from My Favorite Things.  This stamp set is so versatile, especially if you combine it with different card making techniques. No line coloring can be tricky, but for me Lawn Fawn's new Jellyfish inkpad was a game changer. I was always struggeling with either having harsh stamp lines showing through my no line coloring, or the stamp lines being so light that I couldn't see where to color anymore. This copic friendly ink from Lawn Fawn helps me a lot in getting my no line coloring the way I want it and I challenge you to try it as well! It's easier than you think! To finish the image I used a white gelly roll pen to add some highlights and I added Nuvo Crystal Dimensional Glaze to the balloon and set it aside to dry. For the background I used a really cool technique you can do with the W ow Freestyle tool and embossing roller. This is basically a rol

Love You Lots

Hello! Nikki here with a couple of lovey cards using the Halloween geared stamp set Fox Costumes Before N Afters by Lawn Fawn.  I've also used the new Made With Love 6x6 paper pad by Doodlebug Designs which is...THE CUTEST THING EVER. Sorry I yelled at you, but it's true. I used the Stitched Scalloped Circle Frames and Outside in Stitched Rectangle Stackables both by Lawn Fawn. I used the Fancy Wavy Banners and Wavy Sayings for the greeting strip. The other greeting is from the Sweet Friends set by Lawn Fawn. So many cute options for greetings in that set! LOVE! Oh, I got the scalloped border on the bottom by using the biggest die in the Scalloped Rectangle Stackables . When I have my stuff out, I sometimes like to make a second card. You've already got the mess made, might as well get another card out of it, right?! Here's a variation using the same stuff with Kraft cardstock. I love kraft. Swoon. I added sequins and glossy accents here and there. I used my old

Mood board inspiration with Jane

Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing this cute mood board inspired Valentine's Day card.  Check out this month's gorgeous mood board created by Amanda!  I was inspired by the starry sky image and cool winter tones to create my card. To start, I first stamped my images using versafine clair ink in nocturne onto Bristol smooth cardstock.  Images are from the following sets:  yeti or not (scarves and hearts), special delivery (birds), a bug deal (branch), love letters (sentiment).  The images were colored using tombow dual brush pens and a number 2 paint brush with water to soften the colors.  Colors used: 403, 291, 910, 025, 803 (birds), 723 and 761 (scarves and hearts).  White gel pen used to add accents to the images and they were cut using the coordinating dies. To create the center sky, I swiped my stargazer ink pad on white cardstock then cut it using the star trail die (by Ellen Hutson).  The rectangle was cut using the stitched scalloped square frames die and I adher

Let's Curl Up Mood Board Inspired Card

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am so happy to join this blog for a mood board inspiration. When I have to choose a color palette I always struggle, I think color choices are really important to create a balanced card. Well, last year I discovered the BRI Mood Boards and I just have to tell you that all of them were absolutely gorgeous. They inspired me to create many cards, they helped me to “open” my mind and learn new color schemes. So I am really really happy to be here, I hope you will join our challenge and I am sure you will love what you will do. This color palette is beautiful, it is wintery but with some fresh tones that made me think to an early spring…and since next month there will be Valentine’s day, I couldn’t resist to create a love card.  I used the adorable MFT “Let’s curl up” stamp set . I am a fox addicted (I don’t know why, but I love every single fox stamp!) and this set was a must have to me. (Mmm, what set is not a must have to me? LOL) I started ink blending the
