Wrapped Up In A Good Book

Happy Monday everyone! It's Amanda here, and I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your week! Today I wanted to share something slightly different from my usual cardmaking. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE making cards, but it's so easy to forget that there are other things you can make with paper crafting. As Halloween and Fall scenes swirled through my head, I found myself reminiscing on the simple bookmarks I used to create. Since those bookmark making days, I've collected many stamps and supplies my past self never dreamed of having. It was time to take another crack at it! Wrapped Up In A Good Book  This first bookmark was so much fun to make. Not only was it fun, but it was very stress relieving. Most of the time when I'm paper crafting the goal is to have a neat and tidy end product. For this I wanted it to have an old, rustic feel to it. To start out, I took a long strip of paper and crumbled it up like it was a piece of trash. The goal was to mak

Pumpkin Spice Season!!

Hello, friends and welcome!!  It's Laurie here making a guest appearance on the blog today!  Always thrilled when I am able to help out here:)! My latest order from Vanessa included some fall themed goodies which I couldn't wait to play with.  Fall is definitely here in my part of the world. It's quite beautiful right now but the upcoming forecast sounds more like winter which just downright sucks. But you're not here to listen to me complain about the seasons, so let's have a look at the card I created! I just had to get the new Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set along with its co-ordinating dies !  I simply adore this line of stamps from Newton's Nook!  I think they have 3 different sets featuring this girl! I coloured everything up with Copic markers and used the dies to cut each image out. For the background, I used the Falling Leaves Stencil , also from Newton's Nook, along with some Translucent Embossing paste. After the paste was dry, I blended so

Is It Fall Yet?

We've had the longest summer.  Not that I'm complaining, because I do love warm weather, but I must admit I'm ready for sweater weather!  These little guys certainly brought a bit a Fall with them...at least to my craft room :)   For my card, I created a background by blending a few Distress Oxide Inks:  Frayed Burlap , Twisted Citron and Carved Pumpkin . The frame, pumpkins, acorns and leaves were made with Hello Bluebird's Gallery Frame #3 dies cut from different Lawn Fawn Cardstock colors.  I may have gone overboard with the White Uni-Ball Signo pen , but I like the 'highlight' effect of this pen!   And finally, the 'stars' of my card are these darling woodland animals from Hello Bluebird Fall Buddies stamp set which are Copic colored.   I'd wanted this set for so long and finally purchased it several months ago.  I couldn't wait until fall to use it!  These little guys are SO cute!!

Quiet Christmas

Hello, Everyone! This is Tiffany and this week I'm sharing my first ever slim line card. This card measures at 8.5 inches x 3.5 inches. I began by ink blending the background using two shades of blue ink, I spritzed water on the background and splattered some water based white paint to create a snowy look.  I used Hello Bluebird's Quiet Christmas stamp set from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. online store. I absolutely love the sweet images and sentiments in this stamp set. I stamped the images and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored the images with Copic Markers , then cut them out. I added a strip of white card stock to the bottom of my background then assembled the card. As a finishing touch I stamped snowflakes on the background in blue ink and added Christmas Red Stickles to the tree ornaments.

Frightfully Sweet Surprise

Hello crafty friends!  This is Crystal here today sharing all of My Favorite Things (literally!) in one Frightfully Sweet double slider surprise card!  This card combines my love of Halloween, interactive components, cute critters and candy!  What's not to love!? Last weekend I was in Vermont on an annual craft retreat and I brought my Lawn Fawn Double Slider Surprise Die with me because, well, I've owned it for over two years now and it's high time I learned HOW to use it!  I think the Lawn Fawn Double Slider Surprise is such a cool card, but I was very intimidated by putting it all together.  I strongly encourage newbies to watch the Introductory Videos on YouTube by Kelly Marie Alvarez (the owner of Lawn Fawn) and they are a game changer.  Whether it is the Double Slider Surprise Die , the Lawn Fawn Pivot Pop Up Die , the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer Die or any other Lawn Fawn product, she walks you through step-by-step instructions on how to assemble these produ

Autumn is calling!

Hi Everyone, it's Jane with another fall card for you today!  This card was made using the new Hello Bluebird stamps and dies which are available at Butterfly Reflections Ink . The images from Hello Bluebird are so adorable and can be mixed and matched to create cute fall scenes.  I absolutely love the new (and old) sets! To start this card, I cut an A2 size of Bristol smooth cardstock.  Using an ink blending tool , I blended the following Distress Oxide inks (top to bottom): wild honey , dried marigold and antique linen .  Then using the Oak Tree Scene die , I cut a piece of Lawn Fawn woodgrain cardstock in the darkest brown to create the tree.  Then on a separate piece of Bristol smooth cardstock, I used VersaFine Clair ink in nocturne to stamp the images from Hello BlueBird stamp sets Pumpkin Time and Leaf Play .  Images were then clear heat embossed and colored using Tombow ABT markers and a water brush.  The images were then cut and glued to the ink blended card b

Trick Or Treat

Hello crafty friends! I'm back with a fun Halloween scene! Trick or Treating was always one of my favorite things growing up. I loved getting to dress up and be silly. I loved being outside in the cool night air. But every kids favorite part of Halloween HAS to be the free candy! Am I right? As much as I loved the candy, I was a shy kid and  would get nervous to even knock on doors. Now that I'm grown and it's unacceptable for me to go out and ask strangers for candy, my favorite things about Halloween  are a little different. Instead, I love getting to see all the kids in their costumes and see myself in the shy ones who don't seem to want to knock on the door.  To start this card, I stamped my costumed kids in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink from Lawn Fawns set Costume Party . (This is my first time using it since I got it from the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop ) I also stamped the little flower girl from LF set Easter Party . I colored my images with alcohol ma

So Mini Hellos

The Stamp Market Happy Weekend Friends! It is  Dana  here today and it is good to be back with you all. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying all the crafty things! Today, I am using  The Stamp Market: So Mini Hellos Stamp and Die Set . When I first saw this stamp set I knew it was a Must Have! There are so many occasions covered with this set. I started my card by stamping my car and the fun balloons from the  So Mini Hellos Stamp Set . I colored my balloons with a few  Copic Markers  and used the  So Mini Hellos Dies  to die cut my images. I left my car white which made for a quicker card, and I honestly felt like it didn't need any color. Next, I began working my shaker element. I die cut the  Focal Point Stripes Elle-ments from Avery Elle . I added  acetate  behind my die cut along with some foam adhesive. I then filled my shaker with  Iridescent Mini Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh  before closing it up. To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment on

Mood board with Mama Elephant

Hello Friends, Davina here for Butterfly Reflections Ink , to share a card using  new Mama Elephant stamps and dies and the September Mood Board. There’s been so many beautiful cards created using this months Mood Board and it make me so happy. The colors look so beautiful together and I’ve had so many people tell me how at first they didn’t think they would like it, but then once they used them, they fell in love with the combination. I made a tiny little 4 Bar sized card to share with you today using products from the incredible new  Mama Elephant  release and the September Mood Board. I intentionally made this card different from my last one to show versatility and that even though you’re using the same color palette, the outcomes can be completely different. The stamp set I used is called  Fuzzy Hugs , and along with the coordinating  Creative Cuts , I also I used the new stand alone  Hilly Neighborhood Creative Cut . If you aren’t familiar with 4 Bar sized cards the di

Bewitching Halloween Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends! This is Tiffany, and I hope you have been enjoying my Butterfly Reflections, Ink. Design Team posts. I made this A2 sized card using a stamp set from My Favorite Things and dies from Lawn Fawn . I began the card by ink blending the blue background and the two layers of grass, one green and one gray. I used Lawn Fawn's Sunrise Backdrop die on the blue background and I used Lawn Fawn's Grassy Border die to cut the two layers of grass. I spritzed the grass with water and splattered water based white, black, and orange paint on the background. The sentiment and stamped images are from My Favorite Thing's Happy Haunting stamp set. I really love all of the Halloween sentiments in this stamp set. All images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut out, and then colored with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment in pigment ink and used Lawn Fawn's white embossing powder  to heat emboss the sentiment. I assembled the card using Tombo Mono g
