Mason jars filled with thanks.

Hey guys!   Jung  here today sharing a card I made using  Waffle Flower Crafts Good Stuff stamp set . I absolutely love mason jars (as I'm sure many of you do as well), so I had to get my hands on this stamp set as soon as I saw it! Filled with Thanks: For the background, I used the plastic "smooshing" technique with distress inks in fall colors.  I water colored the jars with a mix of distress inks in  tumbled glass ,  peacock feathers , and a bit of evergreen bough as well.  I also water colored the bow with distress inks.  I fussy cut the images, but you could use the matching  Good Stuff dies .  I attached the jars (the front jar and the bow are popped up on foam tape) to the background panel.  I then popped up the background panel with foam tape to a piece of mustard card stock that I cut out using Avery Elle's  Sweet Scallops Ellements die .  I love the scalloped detail of this die!  Finally, I attached my card panel to a card base, glued on some  gold du

Hello You (Crate Paper love)

Hey Everyone! I'm back, sharing a super fun 12x12 layout using a mixture of Crate Paper collections. One of the many things I love about crate paper is how each collection they have created can work perfectly together. I used a mixture of Kiss Kiss, Love Notes, Craft Market, Confetti, Journey, and Wonder all on this layout. I began by sewing down some crepe paper that you can purchase at almost any craft store or party store. I then matted my photo and began to lay down my bits and pieces around my photo. I went for a different design than my typical design where I layer around the focal point. I just love the way this layout came out and hope you guys do too! 'Tis the Season....

for pumpkin everything!! You know you've seen it everywhere, even in kitty litter. (Seriously, Tidy Cats? I think that's one thing that can be left pumpkin-less.) Emily here with a pair of super-pumpkin-y cards for you today. We have fully embraced fall at our house with pumpkin-scented and -flavored things, so when Neat and Tangled released this absolutely adorable  stamp set , I needed it to create these cards: For the shaker card, since I didn't want my card base to warp from the heat of my heat gun, I decided to use my Perfect Pearls and Perfect Medium to create a multi-colored greeting. I stamped it first on the card base with Perfect Medium, then used Perfect Pearls in Copper (for the pumpkin itself), Heirloom Gold (for the words), and Green Patina (for the leaf). The frame was easily constructed with the use of the Avery Elle Sweet Scallops die set and a rectangular die that I had in my stash. Now for the really fun part: the leaves and pumpkins. I took a p

Gratitude

Hello...  Brandi  here with a couple of fun Fall cards. Don't you just love this color combo? It's one of my favorites and just screams Fall!  For both cards I inked up the leaves from the  Wplus9 Autumn Leaves  stamp set with various colors on white cardstock. Once I was set with the design, I added the sentiments using  Memento Tuxedo Black ink . The sentiments are from the  Wplus9 Grateful Greetings  stamp set. The final step involved assembling everything together on a colored or patterned paper card base and adding a few sequins. Have you seen the awesome  sequins  the  Butterfly Reflections Ink shop  carries? Total cuteness! Well that's it for me today. I hope you've enjoyed today's dose of inspiration. Until next time... Artsy Hello with Audrey!

Hello there!   Audrey here!  Today I have a card inspired by the BRI September Mood Board.  Holy cow, this collage is so stunning!  I just adore this unlikely color combination. It completely inspired me to create a fun, artsy card! I did some watercoloring using Distress Inks.  I started off with a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper .  I tapped my distress inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Broken China and Hickory Smoke onto an acrylic block.  I taped my paper down to a clipboard, and then wet the entire piece with clean, clear water.  I took a wet brush to my distress inks and put them to the paper in several layers, drying the layers with a heat tool before applying another layer.  Then I tapped the paint brush loaded with Hickory Smoke ink and water to give me some subtle grey splatters.  When it was dry, I diecut the panel with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die set. and then trimmed the panel a bit further so that the stitched were along the

2 back to school layouts

Hey guys!   Jung  here with 2 back to school layouts!  I'm so excited about these layouts!  It's been a tradition around here that I started when my older daughter started kindergarten.  Instead of taking her picture on just the first day of school, we take pictures the entire first week, and I remember to save some of her back-to-school clothes tags.  I love looking back to see how much she's grown, what size she was wearing, and her sense of style too.  Well, this year, my younger daughter started kindergarten, so we had double the pictures, double the clothes, double the layouts. When you have 2+ kids, and double the scrapbook layouts to make, here is my tip for you : keep it simple and make the same or very similar layouts using the same products (since you already have them out).  Since my girls each have their own albums, I do this often.  For example, I make layouts for their halloween costumes, dance recital pictures, school pictures, etc.  I usually get an idea f

Embellishment "Happy"

Hey y'all! Ashley here, sharing a super fun and embellishment-crazy 12x12 layout. I mostly used the Dear Lizzy Fine and Dandy collection as well as the Amy Tangerine Rise and Shine collection. I love that these two collections are so different, yet they paired so well together. I started with a piece of white card stock as my background. Then, I matted my photo with layers and layers of crepe paper. Following that, I cut various strips of paper to place on the left-hand side of my page for a unique look. Lastly, I embellished away. This is one of those layouts that you can place embellishment almost anywhere and it will turn out just fine! I had so much fun creating this page and I hope you guys gain some inspiration! Autumnal Faberge Fake Out!

So, my cousin has asked me to be her Matron of Honor in her upcoming wedding, and one of the duties that I have absolutely loved is helping her choose flowers and a color scheme. I think I should be a florist in my next life. Anyway, because her wedding is in November, she wanted a more muted color palette, and while looking for "autumn wedding bouquets" on Pinterest, I was so intrigued by the combo of deep, royal purple, coral-y orange, and fuschia that it inspired this card: I chose to heat emboss the main image from Wplus9's  Botanical Bunch  several times with gold embossing powder on Strathmore 140 lb hot press watercolor paper that had been treated with the EK Success Anti-Static Powder Tool. (I just love the way that this image looks when used as a pattern-builder and heat embossed in gold; it reminds me of luxurious Faberge eggs or brocade fabric from 19th century Russia.) I then colored the images with a variety of  Zig Clean Color Markers , going back a

a little Merry Menn Layout!

hi hi hi! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing the BEST LAYOUT EVER!! ok, that's exaggerating...but I do really LOVE how it came out! And mostly, it's because of that INCREDIBLE mood board! I am literally head over heels in love with it! So for my layout, I created the background with Peerless Watercolors, and lessons I learned from this class at Big Picture classes! (best class ever!) Once the background was complete, I added some embossing paste with a large polka dot stencil! I used lots of layers from various 6x6 paper pads under my photo. Then went to town embellishing with that awesome mint color! I used flair from Cloud 9 , wooden buttons from the Pool Side collection , stickers from the cute Wonder collection and my favorite silver Thickers paired with my FAVORITE black Thickers ! Every year when we decorate our house for Christmas, my little Menn always love helping Daddy! They are so proud of themselves that they 'helped', an

HELLO, Sunshine

Hi everyone! It's Coralynn here and I'm back with a tag for you today. I am loving the pineapple background from MFT.  It gives your projects just that extra small touch. I used the MFT  Polynesian stamps and die set and used my copics to colour in the images. Then used the MFT Stitched tag stax as well as the Lawn Fawn stitched oval dies for this project. I stamped the background with a light yellow ink and I stamped the sentiment with Memento Onyx black ink.  I popped up the girl and flowers with foam tape.  To finish it off I added some natural twine from my stash and some Wink of Stella. Be sure to stop by the shop,  there are lots of new goodies added everyday!   Thanks for stopping by, see you again! Coralynn  :) Supplies: InLinkz.com

Peace, Love and Joy

Brandi  here to wish you a Happy Friday and share a couple of Christmas cards with you. Is it too early for Christmas cards? Never! There is something about the Fall air in Upstate NY that makes me want to sip on some pumpkin coffee, turn on some reality tv and design away on Holiday cards.    For both cards I inked up the poinsettia, pine cones and leaves from the  Altenew Poinsettia and Pine  stamp set with  Memento Tuxedo Black  ink on watercolor paper. After that I colored in the images with  Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers . Once they were dry, I cut them out and assembled everything together on the card bases with some patterned paper and sequins. The sentiments are from the  Avery Elle Winter Wreath  stamp set. I hope you've enjoyed this daily dose of inspiration and hopefully it's put you in the holiday card making spirit. Don't forget to head over to the  Butterfly Reflections Ink shop  to pick up the latest holiday sets. If it's too early f

Watercolored Skies with Audrey!

Hey there!   Audrey here!  Today I have a card to share with you using one of my favorite things... watercolor!  I am slightly addicted to this trend and I hope that it never goes away! I started off my watercoloring a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper with my Artist's Loft watercolor palette from Michaels.  I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Clouds border dies to add clouds to the bottom edge of my scene.  I cut one out of vellum and another out of white cardstock, which I popped up using foam tape.  Wplus9 recently released the most adorable hot air balloon set called Going Places .  There are several little critters that you can put in the balloon, and of course, I chose my favorite, the little cat.  I stamped and diecut the balloon and clouds with the coordinating Going Places dies , then colored them with copic markers.  To add some interest to the balloon, I paper pieced the center panel with a fun rainbow chevron pattern from the Avery Elle Everyday Colleciton 6x6

Lots of pink!!!

Hey all,  Jung  here!  How has your day been going?  Today, I have a pink scrapbook layout and a pink card to share with you. First up, is my happy birthday card: I absolutely love these stamp sets from Altenew!  I used Wild Hibiscus , and Label Love .  First I cut a piece of water color paper to an A2 sized panel.  Then I stamped the flowers using  Versafine Onyx Black  ink.  I added  clear embossing powder  and heat set.  To water color the background, I used Tim Holtz distress inks in the colors:  picked raspberry , spun sugar, ripe persimmon, and scattered straw. I stamped the happy sentiment, which is from Lawn Fawn's  Winter Penguin  stamp set.  I then cut out a stitched rectangle panel from the middle.  I attached the outer portion to a card base, then I popped up the inner portion with some foam tape to add dimension.  On a separate piece of scrap card stock, I stamped the birthday label with Versafine, added clear embossing powder, heat set, and then cut it out.

Scrapbook layout "Cute" using the Crate Paper Wonder collection!

Hey y'all! Ashley here sharing another scrapbooking layout using the Crate Paper Wonder collection. I am so in love with this collection and it came out at the perfect time! The best part about this line is that it is so versatile---it does not just have to be used for kids! I started this layout with a craft background which is one of my favorite colors of card stock. The next step was gathering my layers for my photo as well as the larger embellishments. I used my sewing machine for extra interest and then added a few smaller embellishments for the final touches! I hope you enjoy this layout as much as I enjoyed creating it! Check out my youtube video for the whole process!
