Hi everyone! Surprise! It's me Shawna, back with a bonus project. I just completed a mini album for Easter this year and am sharing with you all today. I used a Dear Lizzy 6x8 album but you could substitute what you like. I am not usually a mini album person but with all these Easter photos I took I thought this might be a fun option.
I did a simple cover with some ribbon, Mister Huey's and some wood veneers. I also added a Dear Lizzy wood button.

This mini starts out with a transparency page which I think looks neat over my title page. I used the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer 6x6 a lot in this mini. On this page I also added an Atlantic Cork circle from the store.
For my first page spread I used egg dyeing photos of the kids. This is an open album without many page protectors so I made sure everything was glued down well. (More store products include Amy Tangerine Watercolor Thickers, Maggie Holmes resin flowers, and Dear Lizzy large tags)
On the next spread are the kids Easter baskets. In between is another transparency to add some interest. I ran washi tape along the bottom of the transparency to break up the pattern a bit. Here is a with and without transparency shot.
Lastly we always have an egg hunt with the died eggs on Easter day so I had to include these photos as well. For the right hand side I used a pocket page. For bulkier items that you still want to include on these type of pages use a strong adhesive like glue dots or your ATG to make sure these stay stuck. This is how my bow is attached here.
My last page spread is just a couple photos of the kids loving on each other. Yes, that is rare, so of course I have to document it. I hid a tag of journaling about our Easter season this year and then made an Ending page. I also included one more transparency at the end of the book.
So there we have it. A quick, simple album. I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!
I love how you say it's a quick simple project, but it's a mini album with pics LAST weekend. It would take me 5 years to even print those pics. :P You amaze me. Truly!!! It came out awesome. Love the overlays and the ending is my fave... & that is all. ;)
