Hi! It's Lisa here today to share a new and bright layout with you today! I love when Vanessa sends us surprises from the store (thanks Vanessa!), and one of the surprises in my last DT kit was a pack of the I Heart Summer Pocket Pages by Simple Stories. I have never really used pockets before on my layouts, but I was intrigued and determined to do so. As I kept looking them over I thought why use pockets in the traditional form? Instead I chose to use mine as my title and backdrop for my photo. I LOVE the results. Let me share a few more details on how this layout came together...
Here are the products I have used (missing the white embossing paste):
I began this layout by creating some texture with a stencil and Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste :
I also added a few spritz of blue. I then adhered my pocket, photo and Jillibean Soup placemat:
I then finished my layout with embellishments such as: Chic Tags Cloud 9 Acetate Shapes, Sequins, Washi Tape, and Market Street Enamel Dots:
Tips/Tricks:
- Use your xyron machine(s) to adhere acetate accents.
- Find unconventional uses for your supplies like I've done with my pocket.
