Hello it's Sharna! I have two cards for you today. I already shared one on instagram but I thought I would share again with some more details!
So if you follow me on instagram @littleyellowbirdy118 you've seen this card already. I just thought I'd share with anyone who does not. The little aliens from Monster Mash from lawn fawn were an experiment of blending two very different copic colors together. I used a pale purple and a warm grey. I made several mistakes on the baby blending wise but I was able cover them up using details with a white gel pen and spots using the darkest purple marker.
Supplies:
Picked Raspberry - Distress Ink
Milk and Cookies Stamps - Lawn Fawn
Milk and Cookies die cuts - Lawn Fawn
Monster Mash Stamps - Lawn Fawn
Monster Mash die cuts - Lawn Fawn
This first card is the new one. I've had this stamp set from Lawn Fawn for a while now and I just never used it. No idea why! Don't know how many of you are playing along with the 30 day color challenge but if you aren't you should give it a try! I find I can give many stamps that have been collecting dust a chance for some action. Today both my cards came from playing with coloring. This card was an experiment with distress ink coloring. I got a new water brush so of course I had to take it for a spin. The background is made with some simple heat embossing of the hearts in this set and some ink smooshing. That' s basically taking your ink, putting it on a block, spraying it and smooshing it to your paper. Its a lot of fun and super easy! I used Picked Raspberries for the background and the milk carton. The cookies are actually are actually a brown watercolor pencil as I don't own a single brown distress ink (which I will remedy very shortly!). They are popped up on foam dots and layered on top of a vellum circle that I die cut and the water color is also popped up on foam layered onto a vellum die cut.
