Happy Saturday everyone! It's Marcie here, from Sharp Designs. Thanks for letting me pop in today and share some January Mood Board inspiration with you.
I am in awe of this gorgeous colour palette; the blue-greens with fresh pops of white and silver give off a wintery, icy feeling. It's perfect for this blustery time of year!
I started out by using a combination of Distress Inks and Distress Markers in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass to watercolour the main panel. The largest Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Stax was used to die cut it once dry. My MISTI came in handy lining up the sentiment from Amazing on my panel perfectly. Washi tape was used to mask off the end of it before I stamped it in Blueberry ink. The Doubly Amazing die cut was cut twice and adhered together a little bit off-set from each other. I cut it once with blue cardstock and again with white cardstock that I entirely coated with silver embossing powder and heat set before cutting. After popping it up on a white card base with foam tape, I added a few silver stars as a final touch.
That sparkly sentiment and those silver stars are stunning in real life. I have a feeling I'll be recreating this card with other Distress Ink combinations. :)
