Hey guys!
It feels good to be back blogging for Butterfly Reflections Ink as a guest! Today I have a thank you card featuring Altenew's Wild Hibiscus stamp set and the thanks die from Hero Arts' thanks stamp and cut set.

It feels good to be back blogging for Butterfly Reflections Ink as a guest! Today I have a thank you card featuring Altenew's Wild Hibiscus stamp set and the thanks die from Hero Arts' thanks stamp and cut set.
Here's how I created my card:
- I die cut a scalloped rectangle from a piece of water color cardstock using WPlus9's sunshine layers die.
- I masked off the scalloped edges, using the stitches as a guide, and repeatedly stamped the 3 butterfly images from Altenew's Wild Hibiscus stamp set with Versamark ink. I sprinkled the stamped images with Wow white embossing powder, and heat set.
- I removed my masking tape, and watercolored the stamped panel using Tim Holtz distress inks. I used Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry, and for my purple, I used a combination of Seedless Preserves and Wilted Violet.
- For my sentiment, I diecut the thanks from Hero Arts' thanks stamp and cut set 3 times out of black cardstock. I glued the diecuts together giving it some dimension, then glued it onto my butterfly panel.
- I popped the whole panel on some fun foam, and glued it onto a top folding A2 sized black card base. (I don't use black card bases very often, but I think it makes the thanks die cut really pop! I will use a white gel pen to write on the inside.)
- To finish off my card, I added some enamel dots from My Mind's Eye's On Trend 2 enamel shapes, and covered the thanks die cut with glossy accents.
- I have been loving creating simple matching envelopes for my cards lately, so I stamped the larger butterfly from the Altenew set with some Hero Arts Ombre Lilac to Grape ink.
I used a lot of favorites on this card! I have loved enamel dots on my scrapbook pages for years and years now, and they are perfect for cards as well! The Hero Arts thanks stamp and cut set is a favorite of mine, as I make many thank you cards, and the sentiments are perfect! I also love that it comes with the thanks die! The WPlus9 scalloped rectangle die is another favorite of mine, and of course I love my ombre inks and distress inks!
That's it for me! I hope you like my card, and have a happy Sunday!
Gorgeous card! Love the watercolored effect!
