It's a happy day! Yes indeed cause it's Friday and I don't have to work my part time job this weekend. Whoo hoo!
Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by, Gladys here and I have this fall card to share with you today. My neighborhood is full of maple trees and everyday the leaves turn into a bright red color. I just love it! I didn't get to experience the seasons growing up because I lived in Hawaii which was not bad at all. =) But as much as I love the warm sunny weather I also enjoy the cooler temperature and fall colors.
I built a simple scene for this card with two critters from Lawn Fawn Jump for Joy stamp set. I also added a few dies from My Favorite Things.
For my background I blended pine needles, evergreen bough, cracked pistachio and squeezed lemonade distress inks. I die cut the trees and distressed it with aged mahogany, abandoned coral, fossilized amber and rusty hinge. The branches and fence were die cut from brown cardstock. I stamped the critters, leaves, and rake in Memento tuxedo black and colored them with copic markers. I then die cut them using the coordinating dies. Once I assembled the card I forgot about the sentiment but not a big deal because the stamp set came with smaller words. When I stamp sentiments I have to use my MISTI tool to make sure that it's lined up perfectly. I don't know how I lived without this tool for so long it's incredible, pun intended! I hope you like this card and enjoying the fall colors in your neighborhood.
