Hey there, crafty friends!
I definitely have mixed feelings about today's post. I'm excited to be bringing you another card, but it's my last post as a design team member for Butterfly Reflections, Ink. I've really enjoyed my time on the design team, and I'm really grateful to Vanessa to give me the chance! So this card is dedicated to her!
I started out by using the My Favorite Things Sketchy Flowers stamp set to stamp out some floral images on some plain white cardstock using my favorite black ink. I then stamped in the filler images using peach and green Hero Arts dye inks.
After I had covered the entire card panel with the floral images, I used the My Favorite Things Stitched Scallop Basic Edges die to cut a decorative edge across the panel. I also used the same peach ink and swiped it across a scrap piece of cardstock and used the same die to cut an additional color-coordinated piece to layer underneath the floral piece.
I adhered the floral and coordinating peach pieces to each other and then adhered it to a card base. I then used a sentiment from a My Favorite Things stamp set that is now retired, but any thank you sentiment would have totally looked great on this card design! I recommend the My Favorite Things All Occasion stamp set with a card design like this because you can use it for any and all occasions!
This was a simple card that was so much fun to create, and I plan to incorporate this type of layout for many future cards!
Again, many thanks to Vanessa for giving me the chance to share some of my creations with you, and thank YOU, readers, for all of your support and kindness!
