Hello, there! It's Andrea here with my last post as a DT member. I can't believe how quickly the past four months have flown by! I have had such a blast on this team and am so grateful for this amazing experience. Now, enough chit chat; how about some cards?
When I first saw Honey Bee Stamps' Snow Birds set, I knew I had to have it! These birds are just so cute and fun to color that I couldn't resist coloring almost all of them (I didn't have time to get them all on cards yet, but soon, I hope)! All of the birdies were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Naturally, I added some highlights and details with my white gel pen.
To create the snow angel on my first card, I stamped the outline image and cut it out. For this project I used the negative piece and saved the die-cut to use later. I popped that negative panel on top of the colored image with foam tape and adhered them to a white card.
With MFT Stamps' Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics, I die-cut a black banner. I stamped a phrase from Snow Birds with Versamark ink and white heat-embossed it. I went around the snow angel cut-out with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay and added my sentiment underneath with foam tape. Some Neat & Tangled Snowfall Sequins finish the card.
For my second card, I decided to make a fun scene. The sky was created by ink-blending Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean distress inks. I die-cut two snowy hills, adhered the back hill to my sky panel, and added some Tumbled Glass to create a shadow for the front hill.
Using my MISTI I stamped a sentiment from Snow Birds with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat-embossed it. I popped up the front hill with foam tape and adhered my birds to the panel, adding some foam tape behind the hat of the bird in the foreground. Finally, I glued the whole thing to a white card.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a happy and blessed New Year!
