Good Morning,
Alix here to say Hi and bye "temporarily". I had a great time spending last four months hanging out with everyone here. This is my last card for Spring Design Team term. But I will be back sometimes to the blog and show you guys more of my crafting experiments and adventures!
Today's card is all about how grateful for us to have our moms. I used multiple Lawn Fawn stamp sets. Lawn Fawn Rub-A-Dub-Dub stamp set for ducklings, Lawn Fawn Mermaid for you stamp set for you for rocks, Lawn Fawn Toadally Awesome stamp set for grasses, Lawn Fawn Happy Village stamp set for the house, trees, clouds and sun. I colored all images with copic markers and set aside.
To build a scene, I wanted to create a lovely and calm scene of Mommy duck taking all kids to river playing while sun was just rising up. After getting some references photos from Internet, I hand drew a river outline on Tim holtz Distress watercolor paper and cut it out.
I grabbed another Tim Holtz distress watercolor paper and masked some of area with post-it paper. Then my ink blending part started. I used Tim Holtz distress oxide in Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio for the grass areas, Squeezed Lemonade and Peacock Feather for the sky, Salty Ocean for the river. A little trick for the river part, I sprayed some water on the top and removed water with a piece of paper towel. Then I mixed ink from Salty Ocean with water and dropped some ink droplets on the surface and heated to dry. Now it looks like water splash when water hitting the rocks.
I used Multi Medium Matte and Foam tape to adhered all images onto the background and I stamped sentiment using Memento ink in Tuxedo black to the lower corner. At last, I created some white flowers using Nuvo Crystal drop in gloss white on to large grass areas.
Again, Thank Vanessa for giving this opportunity. Thank you all for sharing this 4 months journey with me and I will see around sometimes!
Love from,
Alix
