Hello crafty friends! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Gladys here and I'm sharing this two scene in one card today. I have quite a few steps to cover so let's get started shall we.
So the weather where I live has been bonkers lately. In one week we've had rain, wind, sunshine, and winter temperature...I'm so confused sometimes I don't know what to wear for the day. (Ok I lied that's pretty much everyday for me, the struggle is real people!) Well today my card is all about weather and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is ready for warmer temps and to see all the pretty flowers in full bloom.Yes bring on the sunshine because I sure need some Vitamin D.
For my card I used a lot of MFT products. I adore their new stamp set called Rain or Shine from the amazing Birdie Brown collection. The stamp set come with two girl images, four adorable little ducklings, sun, clouds and a puddle to create the perfect rain or shine scene.
I colored all the images with copic markers and cut them using the coordinating dienamics. Next I inked up my card panel using mowed lawn, twisted citron and broken china. For the grass I used the drifts and hills stencil. Then I die cut the center of the panel using the girl dienamics as seen in the picture. I also did the same thing to one side of my top folding card base.
For the rain I wanted to add texture so I used embossing paste on top of the mini raindrop stencil.
I set the panel to dry and started working on the inside of the card. For the sky I used mini cloud edges stencil and for the grass I used drifts and hills stencil using the same distress inks.
Once the embossing paste was completely dry I adhered it onto my card base. The girl cut outs should line up perfectly. I added foam tape on the girl image and placed it in the die cut, basically doing an inlay technique. I adhered the rest of the images and die cut the cloud border so I could add my sentiment. Lastly I added some white details using a gelly roll pen.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this card. Thanks Vanessa for having me back on your blog today. I hope you're enjoying a much needed vacation!
Happy crafting everyone!!
Beautiful !! :)
