Hey friends!
It's Jess, and I'm checking in for my very last card as a part of the Butterfly Reflections Ink Design Team. I can't believe how fast this term flew by - it's hard to believe it's over already! I will still you see you around the blog here and then, though! For my last card (I swore I wasn't making another Christmas card, but here we are), I went gaga for Lawn Fawn. I pulled out sets I've had in my stash for a while and got them inky!
To start off, I did some stamping and masking of my fireplace scene. These images came from Lawn Fawn's 'Cozy Christmas' set. I stamped my stockings first, then masked them off using post it tape. Then I stamped out my fireplace and the adorable little bit of fire sitting on a log. Seriously, how cute is he?! I also stamped out the super cute little cup of milk on the mantle. I used my Mini MISTI for all of this stamping to make sure I got my placement perfect each time.
Once my masking was done, I started on my coloring. My whole background and all of my stamped images are colored with Copic markers (only the wreath isn't!). I created the wood panel background and tried to give the flooring a cool texture. I stamped a few little hearts and my sentiment 'Holiday Greetings' from Lawn Fawn's 'Winter Village.'
Next, I needed something above the mantle. I got really creative for this part. I took the 'Stuck On You' set from Lawn Fawn and used my Tiny Wreath Builder from Gina K to create a wreath. I used the larger succulent, smaller succulent, and little flower to bring it all together. Then, I fussy cut it to add to my card.
For finishing touches, I added glossy accents to my hearts, a few red sequins on the wreath, and even a few Nuvo drops in Green and Gold around the wreath as well. I tied a sweet little bow in red gingham and that finished off my card!
It's been wonderful to spend the last few months with you and I hope to see you around the blog and social media really soon! Hugs and love to you all,
