I started out by stamping all of the butterfly images, I knew I wanted to clear heat emboss them so with my anti static powder bag I put the powder all over my paper than stamped them with VersaFine Black ink before adding some clear embossing powder. I really love adding this small step to my cards, it just adds something special to the images. I knew I wanted to do some distress oxide blended backgrounds so once I had picked my colors I decided to color in the butterflies with copic markers to match the backgrounds.
Once all the coloring was done, I die cut all of the butterflies out with the coordinating dies and then started working on my backgrounds. I used the following Distress Oxide Inns for my ink blended backgrounds: Old Paper, Evergreen Bough, Black Soot, Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries.
Once I had both backgrounds done I splattered both white and black paint to give some extra dimension. I cut out the Thinking of You script die from Pretty Pink Posh three times for each card and adhered them with liquid glue.
I arranged four of the five butterflies that you get in the stamp set on the card and decided I wanted to add the sentiment from the stamp set on the inside of the card as well.
With two of the butterfly stamps I stamped the inside of the card as well with the Evergreen Bough and the Worm Lipstick to match the outside. Finishing off each card I add some gold and silver sequins. Thank you all so much for stopping by to check out my cards, I truly appreciate it. Make sure to check out all the great inspiration from the rest of the design team. I can't wait to see what you all create, Happy Crafting.
These both came out SO amazing!!!
