Happy Tuesday crafty peeps! Heather here to share a fun shaker card that I created using some of my favorite things: Distress Oxide Inks, Lawn Fawn Products, and fun Shaker bits!
I started this card off by stamping and coloring a few adorable Lawn Fawn sloths from the Hang in There and the Slow Down and Enjoy Stamp Sets. The sloths in both of these stamp sets work so well together! I also added the balloon, birthday present, piece of cake, and little party hat from Lawn Fawn's Party Animal Stamp Set and a few leaves from the Flutter By Stamp Set. What I love so much about Lawn Fawn Stamps is the fact that so many images and stamp sets can work together so seamlessly!
I decided that I wanted to create a shaker card for these little guys and inked up a piece of Bristol paper using Twisted Citron & Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. This is my favorite paper to ink blend onto. I used a 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 Stitched Rectangle die by Lawn Fawn to give a stitched feel to my card base then cut the Outside In Stitched Hearts die by Lawn Fawn from the center of the card. This is when I stamped my sentiment - because we all know stamping on a card with foam tape is never fun!
Then I added a bit of acetate to the front card panel and a bit of foam tape after that. Finally I added some amazing clay heart shaker bits by Studio Katia along with some giant sequins I've had in my stash forever! I love how this card came out and I hope it inspires you to mix and match your stamp sets to create fun scenes! Have a great day everyone!
Hey, hey BRI friends! We're hopping today to celebrate the 4th Birthday of Altenew , one of our favorite stamping companies! You should have arrived here from the Altenew blog , and we're glad you're here to share the excitement! There are prizes and inspiration and it's going to be FUN! With you today, is Norine from The Velvet Lemon creating for Butterfly Reflections Ink and I have some projects to share today, that I made using some recently released Altenew products . First up, are these two cards created with the Mega Succulent stamp set . I stamped the image onto water color paper using the MISTI , then turned on the music and sat and colored. I used Faber Castell watercolor pencils so I could more easily control where the color would sit and then painted with a water brush . I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of vellum, heat embossed with clear embossing powder to ensure that the ink wouldn't smudge...
