I started by building the background scene. I used Distress Oxide Inks to blend the sky (Salty Ocean), the grass (Lucky Clover), the pond (Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers), and the cattails (Shabby Shutters). I also used some Lawn Fawn stencils for the sky (Cloudy Stencil) and the grass (Grassy Stencil). I splattered the panels with white paint and Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust.
I used a bunch of Lawn Fawn dies to cut out the background pieces. I used the Stitched Pond die, and the Cattails Border die. I ink-blended a small panel of cardstock in Walnut Stain and used that for the top parts of the cattails.
I then stamped out bunch of images from Lawn Fawn stamp sets, using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink:
I coloured in all of the images with Copic markers.
I stamped out the sentiment from the Dandy Day stamp set onto a white banner that I die cut using the Lawn Fawn Simple Wavy Banners dies.
I arranged all of the pieces onto the card panel and adhered them with a combination of liquid glue and foam squares. The final effect is quite busy, but I like it!
