Happy Friday all! Heather here with you today to share a card that I recently created using lots of goodies from the Shop!
I am just in LOVE with creating slimline cards these days (forever inspired by Davina!!) and I'm so happy that some our favorite companies are coming out with great dies to make this easier! Beats part is that Vanessa has so many option in the Butterfly Reflection Shop! Here's a look at my card:
To create today's card I'm using the set by Mama Elephant called the Slim Card Basics Creative Cuts. I used the large scalloped die, card panel die, and the fun stitched holes from this set. I cut them all out of Bristol paper - and got to work inking them up using Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks. Once the ink dried I pulled out my Gansai Tambi Starry Watercolors and used several of the golds to splatter onto my card panel. Here's a closer look:
Next I went to town coloring my images. I'm using Lawn Fawn's adorable monsters from their Monster Mash Stamp Set I love this stamp set SO much! Next I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out along with a bunch of birthday accessories from this and a few other stamp sets. I finished the card off by stamping a sentiment strip by Taylored Expressions and used their Simple Strips die set to cut it out. I adhered all of this cuteness to a Kraft cardbase cut/scored to fit the panel.
Thanks for checking out my card today and I'm sending you BIG MONSTER HUGS! See ya next time!
Hey, hey BRI friends! We're hopping today to celebrate the 4th Birthday of Altenew , one of our favorite stamping companies! You should have arrived here from the Altenew blog , and we're glad you're here to share the excitement! There are prizes and inspiration and it's going to be FUN! With you today, is Norine from The Velvet Lemon creating for Butterfly Reflections Ink and I have some projects to share today, that I made using some recently released Altenew products . First up, are these two cards created with the Mega Succulent stamp set . I stamped the image onto water color paper using the MISTI , then turned on the music and sat and colored. I used Faber Castell watercolor pencils so I could more easily control where the color would sit and then painted with a water brush . I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of vellum, heat embossed with clear embossing powder to ensure that the ink wouldn't smudge...
