Hello Hello!! I'm thrilled to be back on the BRI blog to share another fun slimline card featuring the adorable mice from Lawn Fawn.
First I cut two pieces of Bristol smooth cardstock using Trinity Stamps stitched card panel. I used one of the panel to cut out the hill to ground my images. For this I used Lawn Fawns slimline stitched hillside borders. Next I ink blended one of the panel using distress oxide inks in seedless preserves, victoria velvet, and tattered rose and for the hill I used mowed lawn and shabby shutters. To add interest I diluted the same colors with some water and splattered it on the panels using a small brush. I set the panels to dry while I start coloring the images.
I used all the mice from the Dandy Day stamp set and one mice (sitting down) from Crazy Antics, the mushrooms are from Oh Gnome. I colored all the images using copic markers and cut them out using their coordinating dies. For the sentiment I wanted to create a big word sentiment so I went with "DREAMS." I cut it out using the Oliver's Stitched ABCs. I cut it 3x on white cardstock and once on a pastel teal cardstock. I love the stiches and font that this die creates, it's so perfect for creating any phrase you can think of. The rest of the sentiment I heat embossed on gray cardstock. Normally I would embossed on black card stock but I wanted a softer look for my card.
Next assembly time, I adhered my images and sentiment using glue or foam tape. I added a few highlights using white gelly roll pen. Then finally I attached the card panel onto scalloped card panel cut from teal cardstock.
Thanks so much for sticking with me through the end. I hope you enjoyed this card. Have a wonderful day!!
