Hello friends! Today's card was a reminder to myself, that while so many things seem wrong in the world, there are still lots of little things in life to be happy about.
Step One: To create this scene, I started by stamping out the images I wanted to use in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then, I colored the images and cut them out.
Stamp Sets Used:
Step Two: Cut out the pieces for the background, middle-ground, and foreground using Lawn Fawn Cuts Scalloped Rectangle Stackables, Meadow Borders, and Puffy Cloud Borders.
Step Three: Ink each layer of the scene. For the sky, I used Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, and Mustard Seed. For the grass, I used Distress Ink Peeled Paint, Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron. For the dirt, I used Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo. I also water splatted the background, using Walnut Stain for the sky and dirt and Pine Needles for the grass.
Step Four: Adhere to the middle ground grass layer to the background sky layer using a tape runner.
Step Five: Using a Lawn Fawn glue tube, I added the colored background images to the scene.
Step Six: Glue the foreground images to the dirt layer, leaving the overhanging images unglued.
Step Seven: Apply foam tape to the back of the foreground layer and overhanging images. Peel off the backing and adhere to the scene.
Step Eight: Place the sentiment in the scene using more foam tape.
Step Nine: Next, I matted the scene twice using black cardstock and brown kraft paper.
Step Ten: Attach the matted scene to the card blank before adding gel pen highlights.
I hoped you enjoyed this scene, and when things get tough, remember to find happiness in little things. You can find loads of stuff I used to create this card at the Butterfly Reflections Ink Shop! You can also find more creations by me on my Instagram Gallery @CaveWomanCreations. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
