Hello crafty friends! Davina here on the blog, with a super sweet filled card using Mama Elephants stamps and dies and the wonderful January BRI Moodboard colors.
I know this card could easily be a sweet filled valentine or friendship card, but I needed a birthday card and it works perfectly. Not being a cake lover myself, I often want different delights when it is my turn to celebrate. And all everything on this card looks yummy enough to eat!
I use the coordinating die cuts to cut out my images then highlighted them with small white dots. I used the framed Waverly die set from Mama Elephant to cut the pink scalloped frame, then I cut a smaller panel from white Bristol Smooth Cardstock that fit inside the stitched area. I inked that panel with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink and splattered with glittery Perfect Pearl, white ink, and Rose Gold Watercolor.
I mounted the inkblended layer onto some glittery cardstock, then assembled all of my images onto the scene. Then I mounted the layers onto the scallop frame. I used some beautiful mint cardstock to make my cardbase and centered the scallop scene onto the mint card. I searched for a small little sentiment to place in the center area, and eventually fount the perfect sized one in my Lawn Fawn stash. I stamped the speech bubble and sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Love Letters stamp set using crunchy leaf and a navy ink.
I really just can’t believe how versatile these colors are and easy they are to use for a variety of images. All of the products are available on the Butterfly Reflections Ink website and there are still a few days to play along and post you card using the Moodboard colors. Make sure to use the #brimoodboard for your chance to be selected for $20 to the shop!
Thank you for stopping by,
Davina
