Hello everyone! It's Ashley and I am so happy to be back for a guest post for Butterfly Reflections, Ink! For my card today, I used the absolutely adorable Avery Elle Sending Hugs stamp set. It is perfect for sending a paper hug to all those loved ones you can't hug in person yet!
I started by stamping the Pinkfresh Studio Colorblock Gradiating Stripes background stamp onto white cardstock with Pinkfresh Studio Ballet Slipper ink. This is the perfect soft pink ink! I trimmed the piece by a quarter inch on each side and splattered with two different colors of gold watercolor from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors set. I added a piece of vellum to the back to create a thin border, then attached the background piece to a Lawn Fawn Fog card base.
I stamped the images from Avery Elle Sending Hugs onto Bristol smooth cardstock with Pinkfresh Studio Detail Black ink. This is my new favorite ink for watercoloring! It works for Copics too! I colored the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, then cut them out with the matching Sending Hugs dies. I added the cut out images to my card, popping the sheep and the front of the envelope up with foam tape.
I used the My Favorite Things Sweet Hello die on gold metallic cardstock and vellum to create the large piece of my sentiment. I adhered the pieces together with my Lawn Fawn glue pen, then added them to the envelope. I stamped "hugs enclosed" in Detail Black underneath the image to finish the sentiment. For an extra bit of sparkle, I scattered some Pretty Pink Posh jewels in Pink Blush around the image.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!
