Hello, Everyone! It's Allison here, and I'm excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. blog. Today, I am sharing a card featuring a few adorable stamps from Sunny Studio's latest release. All supplies that I used can be found in the BRI online shop.
My "found" background was the result of smooshing several different colors of Distress Oxide Inks onto glossy card stock. This technique is really fun, and although I couldn't tell you the exact colors I used for this one, I bet I could guess that there were some pinks, yellows, and blues! The trick to this technique is to dry each layer before applying the next and then to rub Distress Micro Glaze over the finished product.
My stamped images come from the new Passionate Penguins and Heart Bouquet stamp sets. I colored the adorable penguin and the balloons with my Copic markers. To frame and highlight my background, I used the Inverted Stitched Scallop Circle Die from Pinkfresh Studio. For the stitching detail around the white panel, I used one of my oldest die sets from My Favorite Things. This die set from Pink & Main is almost identical, and has the same size die that I used - 4" x 5.25".
The sentiment comes from the adorable Up With Love stamp set from Mama Elephant. I stamped it with To finish my card, I sprinkled a few sparkling clear sequins on the background and added some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss and Midas Touch to the balloons.
Thanks for joining us today! Be sure to check out all of the goodies in the online shop - there are so many fun new releases that are available now.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
