Hello friends and welcome back!!! It's Laurie with you today for a guest designer post and I'm so exited to be here!
I've paired a couple of Altenew products, one older and one newer. Like all of us, I LOVE getting new products but I also love to use the older stuff in my stash. And both these products are in stock in the shop!
It's been awhile since I've made a shaped card, so that's exactly what I did!
I started by cutting all the florals and leaves from the Painted Blooms Die Set from different shades of cardstock. These flowers are very simple to put together!
After everything was cut and adhered together, I came up with an arrangement on my circular, white card panel.
I die cut 2 larger circles from kraft cardstock. I scored about 3/4" from the top of one of the circles to create a flap. I put double sided tape on the flap, lined up the 2 circles and adhered together. This created the card base.
After adhering the focal panel to the card base, it was time for a sentiment! This comes from the older, yet still one of my favourite Altenew Stamp Sets, Hello Sunshine. I originally stamped this directly on the card and of course, messed it up! I decided to restamp on the kraft cardstock and use a small banner die to cut it out. I used a Copper Embossing Powder and used foam tape to adhere the banner.
Quick tip: for a circular card to stand, just cut a small piece off the back flap!
This was a super fun card to make especially for a die cutting lover! I hope you enjoyed!
Thanks so much for dropping by today! It was such a pleasure to be here today!
Laurie
