Hi crafty friends! Today I am sharing a pop up card featuring the Lawn Fawn Zesty Lemons! I love these lemons! I never knew lemons could be so cute!
I stamped the gingham pattern on the inside of the card and on a separate panel for the front. (Tip: if you want something easier, use gingham paper! That background took 4 tries to get right haha!) Then I die cut lots of lemons from colored cardstock and used some Distress oxides to add a hint of shading on the lemons and leaves. I used Copic markers to color the flower details and added a happy face on the lemon (those pink cheeks aren't showing up well in the picture, sorry!).
I made the pop up mechanism according to this Jennifer McGuire video (link is time stamped to the exact spot for your convenience). The great thing about this pop up technique is that no special dies are required! I stamped the gingham pattern on both sides of my pop up piece to camouflage it against my background. For my card, I made the pop up piece 4"x4" and scored it at 1.5", 2", and 3.5". This will allow the lemon pile to pop out a bit but not so much that it leaves no space to write a message on the bottom of the card.
I made my sentiment pretty general so that it could easily become a thank you card or even a birthday card (throw a birthday hat on the lemon on the front!).
Supplies used:
Distress Oxides- mustard seed, rustic wilderness
Lawn Fawn A Birdie Told Me
Lawn Fawn Claire's ABCs
Mama Elephant Sew Fancy dies
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have the ZEST day and happy crafting! 💖Jenn
