Over the Rainbow "Thank You" Card

Hello Everyone, its Trish here again with what I'm very sad to say is my last post as a Butterfly Reflections, Ink Design Team Member! I've absolutely loved being part of this team for the last 3 months but I'm sure you'll absolutely love the new design teams work! I'm using some absolutely awesome products that have made their way into my collection :) So let me stop jibber-jabbering and just show you what I created! I used a brand new alpha die set from Lawn Fawn  and paired it up with the rainbow die from Paper Smooches  to create a Thank You card!  I felt like the rainbow was a little plain, so I attached some vellum clouds cut from the Spring Showers die   with Kool Tak Foam .  And of course, no rainbow can be complete with some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen . Lastly, I added a few sequins for a finishing touch.  And that completes my project! I really hope you guys have enjoyed this card and all of my other projects.  Its been an awes

New Lawn Fawn dies...

Hi everyone! This is Kristy and I'm sad to say that I'm here today to share my last DT project, using goodies from the shop! Here are the fun items I used: Sundrifter paper pad , Lawn Fawn Thanks die , Lawn Fawn Stitched Party Banners dies I started by die cutting out the smaller banner, and then I added the stitched circle to the center of the banner. I cut out the circle with another pattern of paper, and taped the "thanks" die on top of all of the pieces. I used my well loved cutting plates and cuttlebug to cut through all pieces.  I then used a thin piece of paper and added adhesive to the entire piece. I used this behind all of my die cut pieces to inlay them together. Here's the piece put together. I added a strip of pattern paper on to the card front, tied a piece of crochet thread through the holes on the banner, and used 3D adhesive to attach the banner to the front of the card. I love how this turned out! ;) Just

Stamped Sequins

Hi everyone, Shawna again.  I have another beach layout for you today! (Are you tired of them yet? haha)    Have you all checked out the adorable and very affordable little Chic Tags stamp set with the sequins?  I had to have this one!  I started out todays layout with these stamps and some fun Memento Luxe ink pads. I used the stamps to add a little interest to my white background.  I love how it gives it a little color without having to glue on a bunch of tiny sequins.  Don't get me wrong, I love those too! This is just another option. Here is a look at my final layout. Since i didn't have the shine from the sequins i decided to add some gold accents with some dies.  I used the bow from the Maggie Holmes die set and also a little heart of the My Favorite Things die set (both linked below).  I added a little journaling to finish the page off. As usual, i hope you have been inspired.  Take a look at some of these fun products i used and maybe pick up a few..o

paper smooches on vellum and a color happy scrapbook layout

Good morning! It's Samantha here, and sadly (*sniff sniff*), this is my last post as a Butterfly Reflections Ink-er. I just can't believe 3 months has flown by SO fast! It's crazy, working with Vanessa and the entire Butterfly Reflections Ink team has been a dream! Anyway, without further ado, here it is, my last project - and it's a scrapbook page to boot! Ok, as you can see in the photo above, LOTS of goodies from the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop ! I used two different Paper Smooches stamps sets - but all of the images were stamped onto vellum! LOOOOOOOOVE me some vellum! :) I used the city scapes and clouds from Metropolis and the rainbow from Spectrum . I also stithced a lot on this layout - a favorite thing to do of mine! I stitched over the vellum city scapes, and also the clear stickers from the Simple Stories DIY line - LOVE those stickers! they just JAZZ up the layout, I think! :) Finally, I added the title with some lower alpha th

Pretty in Pink and Gold

Hello friends!  Lisa here, and I am so sad that this is my last post as a Butterfly Inker, but so very thankful for having the chance to have been a part of the first Design Team here! yay!  Also can't wait to see who is on the new team and the fabulous work they will be creating!!!  With that said I am so happy to share my last layout, and it is totally girly.  I love that my little Maddie is all girl, dresses and pink everything, so this layout is perfect for her..  (and here is an angled look so you can see the shiny gold, oooohhhhh..... ahhhhhh!) Supplies Used: Market Street Ashbury Heights 6 x 6 Paper Pad by MME Market Street Nob Hill Foiled Mix Bag Market Street Ashbury Heights Chipboard Buttons Market Street Ashbury Heights Deco Brads Market Street Ashbury Heights Enamel Dots I started my layout by first adding water paint in pink and gold as my background.  I then layered the pink patterned paper, gold lace paper, and doily.  I add my photo, and finis

MFT Blue Skies Ahead Card

Hey Everyone, its Trish here today to share a card with you.  I'm sorry about the delay but I've got a sick 2 year old at home. I just recently got a TON of goodies from the Store and I'm still getting around to using them all.  Today I thought I'd feature 2 brand new products added to my collect;   My Favorite Things Blue Skies Ahead Stamp Set and Echo Park Splendid Sunshine 6x6" paper pad . The sentiments on this stamp set truly shine and I didn't want to take away from them so I kept my card extremely simple.  I layered a couple different pages of pattern paper to create my background.  I then stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink on some vellum and heat embossed it using Rangers Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder . I kept the embellishments to a minimum with just some sequins  and I used some Glossy Accents to create subtle clear dots.   Very simple card but sure to cheer up anyone who needs a smile on their face :) Be sure to head on over

Die-cut the images once t

More Pearl Pen Fun

Hi, it's Shawna today with another fun pearl pen technique. Last time i used the transparent pearl pen on a card. Today i have a layout for you.  To start out i did some hand drawn swirls with the pearl pen.  I let them dry and then added some color with the Hero Arts Daubers.  In the end i also added a few Mister Huey's Splatters.  I love the look. I really like the pink, red and yellow combo on this page.  The fun Basic Grey Highline paper went well with the bright yellow Simple Stories die cut.  It came together fairly quick and here is the end result.  I hope you have enjoyed my layout today..Thanks so much for stopping by!  Check out these fun products from the shop. distress ink rainbow, stencils and wood veneers!

Hello! Samantha here, and today I have a card that features...well..pretty much EVERYTHING i'm currently crushing on!! Here's just a sample: Oh yeah! Now that I have wet your appetite, let's get down to it! Here is my card: Oh! It makes me so happy! I made the background panel with 6 different distress inks ! First, I smooshed them onto my acrylic block, and then I used a paintbrush and water to paint them onto my Tim Holtz watercolor paper! Once the rainbow was complete, I took this super awesome stencil and liberally sprayed LOTS of Mr Huey's Calico White spray over it all! I popped up the watercolor piece and added the sentiment from Paper Smooches Spectrum stamp set (one of my favorites ever!) which I stamped onto handmade banners! The wood veeneers are from the Cloud 9 Bloom wood veneer pack - LOVE THOSE LITTLE HEARTS! lol! what a sweet addition to the clouds! Lastly, I completed the sentiment with some Studio Calico Tiny Alphas (I'
