Foxy birthday with Peter

Hello everyone! I'm happy to be back to share some more inspiration with you all. I made this very foxy slimline card to wish someone a happy birthday! For the base I used the Slim Card Basics from Mama Elephant. I took a patterned paper scrap for the scalloped frame and I ink blended a simple gradient on the stitched slimline with Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry . The white frames are made with the frame from the Magic Picture Changer set from Lawn Fawn. Why only use it for the Magic Picture Changer, when you can also make a fun slimline card with it? Or what about square mini cards?  The cute foxes are from the Fox Costumes Before 'n Afters set from Lawn Fawn. They are incredibly cute! And they work also great with the Magic Picture Changer, so this show you fun it is to stretch your card supplies. I colored the foxes in with my Copic markers and I gave them all some shiny details, like the cherry on top of the cupcake fox, with Glossy Accents . I l...

Surprise party with Peter

Hello everyone! It's Peter here again, ready to deliver some crafty inspiration! I made a frame card again, but this time I changed it up a little. I didn't really made mini scenes, but just used the frame as a fun element on the card. I picked out an old time favorite: Party Animal . It's one of the sets that made me fall in love with Lawn Fawn long time ago. I also added Holiday Party Animal in the mix, so I had a different critter for every window of the frame. Before I started coloring, I picked a patterned paper from my stash to decide on my color scheme. Then I stamped everything out and colored the images in with my Copic markers . I picked a matching colored cardstock for the frame and two for the sentiment; one for the Scripty Happy and one for the 'birthday' piece. You can cut the background paper to size with your paper trimmer, but I'm lazy so I used my Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables . If you would like to match it exactly in size, you c...

Really High Five...Happy Birthday!

Hello crafty friends!  I've had a crazy week, with lots of homework, sicknesses and crazy amounts of work, but I managed to sneak enough time to make this simple little card with the new Lawn Fawn release.  Here are the stamps and dies used from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Store: Lawn Fawn Really High Five Stamp  and  Die Set Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Dies Sunny Studios Stitched Oval Dies Distress Oxide Ink  in Broken China Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad Ranger Multi Medium Matte Adhesive Copic Sketch Markers 3D Foam Squares-White I started by stamping a few images from the  Really High Five   stamp set onto my white cardstock, then coloring them with my  Copic  Markers. I wanted to have some bright color in the middle to contrast my black and white frame.  Next, I created my background piece by using the new  Cloudy Stencil  to create some soft blue clouds with my...

Llama tell you... Happy Birthday!

Hello, Everyone! It's Tiffany and I'm super excited to share my first post on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog today. I'm so glad that it's finally fall! I began by ink blending my background and grass, I spritzed both with water and splattered some water based paints onto the background. I used Lawn Fawn's Sunray Backdrop die to cut out and create the background, I love that this die can be used for all seasons. I used the Lawn Fawn Mushroom Border grass die to cut out both layers of grass. To create the frame around my card I used a piece of kraft cardstock and Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle Frames. Once the background scene was finished, I stamped the images in black Copic friendly ink. I knew instantly when I saw Lawn Fawn's Llama Tell You stamp set that I had to use him and the sentiment with Lawn Fawn's Winter Alpaca . The pumpkin and sunflower images are from Lawn Fawn's Happy Harvest stamp set, an oldie but goodie! The speech bu...

Blue Beauty - Altenew

Hi Crafty Friends! This week I was inspired by a card by Kelly Latevola where she stamped a flower image and using emboss-resist, coloured with distress ink, then removed some of the ink with a waterbrush and paper towel!  She called it "watercolour bleaching". I thought that one of my favorite sets - Altenew Persian Motifs - would be perfect for this and I totally fell in love with this easy but effective technique! To start the card, I stamped the Persian Motif images with versamark ink onto tim Holtz distress Watercolour Cardstock and white embossed.  I then used Distress Oxide inks ( blueprint sketch and broken china) to lay some colour onto a rectangle (cut with stitched rectangles die ). I used a paintbrush to paint inside the flower lines and removed water & ink by dabbing with a paper towel as I went. I then used blue copic pens to create a 'shadow' look around the edge of the flowers.  I splattered the ink with some water droplets. For the ...

Partial Die Cutting Technique With Birthday Balloons

Hi Crafty Friends! Ali here with a fun card using the partial die-cutting technique to give it some "wow". The sets I have used today are from Sunny Studio - Bold Balloons and Birthday Balloons . If you are looking for a super versatile birthday set - look no further! These balloons can be used for all ages, male or female and you can vary the colour to your hearts content to suit the recipient!! I was reminded of this fun partial die-cutting technique by the amazing Jennifer McGuire, who did a recent video explaining it - so I encourage you to have a look at it if you are wanting further details.  The first thing I did was to draw a pencil line across a piece of white card. Then I layed down the dies where I wanted them (keep in mind the parts above the die will be the bits "sticking" up from the top of the card). I then placed my top cutting plate so that the pencil line was about mid-way through that tapered edge that my cutting plate has. Then I ...

A Bitty Bear Birthday

Hi, guys! It's Kevin here again sharing this super cool birthday card with you! One of my favorite color combos is black and white with a pop of color. Check it out- I used the utterly adorable honey pot bear from the  Bitty Bears stamp set from MFT as my focal image. He is layered onto some vellum to dull the plaid paper behind him. I used a scalloped border die on the plaid paper to add some pizazz, since this is a pretty clean and simple card- yet there are sequins and twine - sort of a lot for my CAS style but I think everything seems to work okay together. The sentiment is from the same set, stamped onto a speech bubble cut from MFT's Essential Speech Bubbles.

Happy Birthday Card

Hi crafty friends, Joann here today and I cannot tell you how excited I am today to be sharing a card with you! I am sharing a birthday card with you today using some adorable paper from  Cute Girl  by Crate Paper! This adorable paper pack has some beautiful patterns in some fun colors!! You can see all of the products in this collection  HERE ! I took a black and white pattern design from this paper pad to create my base.  I took 4 different ink pads and stamped some floral images from  My Favorite Things Pretty Posies  stamp set. I scattered them and glued them down.  I also took the  coordinating die set  from this stamp set to cut a few images from some gold glitter card stock. I then placed some vellum on top of my flowers and used my Cricut to cute the Happy Birthday phrase from the same gold glitter card stock and popped it up with some foam adhesive.  To finish off the card I created my own enamel dots using ...

Happy Belated Birthday

Happy Thursday, everyone!  It's Lorraine ( Created by Lorraine ) and I'm here to share a fun card featuring Lawn Fawn's Year Two and Party Animal  stamp sets.  This card, especially the process I went through to make it, symbolizes patience and perseverance:) My card: The story:  I had the idea to make a parade of birthday turtles, so I stamped the four turtles and all of their accessories on to scraps of cardstock.  Then I colored them with Copic markers.  Then I went to get the dies for the stamps (I keep them at the back of my storage pockets) and found out that I did not  have corresponding dies for either of the Lawn Fawn stamp sets.  Now, fussy-cutting is quite a struggle for me...I'm bad at it and I just don't have the patience for it.  But, I chose to keep it moving just like the little turtles and I fussy-cut everything, even the tiny party hats.  Lastly, I blended in some ink for a sunny background, stamped the sentiment...

Happy Birthday!

Happy Friday yall!! I am back with another layout and I am using the Fancy Pants Happy Place Collection!! I love this collection. I like how its not to girly or not to boyish. It's really a great mixture. So here is what I came up with for my first layout! I wanted to do a mixed media back ground and use these left over paper hearts I had laying on my desk. I just picked out some colors that I thought went with the collection and BOOM! there's my layout! I also used the  Happy Place Script Word Stickers  on this layout. This was my daughters birthday party, so I used the work happy and some heart stickers that came on the same sticker sheet.  I hope you all enjoyed this layout! be looking out for the process video over on my YouTube channel!  XOXOX!

Happy Birthday

Hey there!  It’s Lorraine ( Created by Lorraine ) and I have a confession to make.  Ever since I got the Ooh La La stamp set by Poppy Stamps and the Big Top Birthday stamp set from Neat and Tangled , I haven’t been able to put them down!  Here’s a card that uses both: For this card, I first stamped all the images, colored them with Copic markers, and die cut them.  One thing I love about the penguin is you don’t have to color in that much.  Then I masked off the top and bottom of the card base, blended on some distress ink, sprayed a bit of water and drew stars with a white gel pen.  Lastly, I added the die-cut images onto the card with foam tape.    I hope all of you Butterfly Reflections Inkers are doing well and finding time to get crafty.  Thanks for dropping by! Supplies: Stamps: Neatand Tangled Big Top Birthday ; Poppy Stamps Ooh La La Dies: Neatand Tangled Big Top Birthday ; Poppy Stamps Ooh La La Inks: Copic...

Happy Birthday (featuring MFT and WPlus9)

Hi everyone, I'm tickled to be here guest designing for the BRI blog today.  I have a card that I created with the goodies I got from my latest haul from Vanessa's shop. I started out with an A2 sized card base with white card stock.  I then took a piece of vellum and used my copics in BV02 and BV04 and created an ombre of violet from top to bottom.  I then cut it out wit the MFT Dainty Scalloped coverup die and adhered it to the card base with multi matte medium from Ranger.  I find it doesn't show up as much through the vellum as other liquid adhesives. I took the BV04 copic and coloured a piece of scrap white card stock and use the Happy Wishes die from WPlus9 and just cut out the word happy.  The I took the little banner die from the Tags Builders 4 die set from MFT and cut it out of white card stock and stamped with black ink the Birthday sentiment from the That is all set from WPlus9.  I added that to the card along with the happy die...
