Let's Play Layout

Hello there! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a fun layout of my two little Menn! Eek - I love it! To start, I used some embossing paste and a triangle stencil to add some subtle white on white dimension! I used a bunch of papers from various 6x6 paper pads and some recycled tissue paper as layers behind my photo! I also used one of the die cuts from the Fancy Pants Life is Beautiful Ephemera as a layer! I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and did some slight watercoloring underneath where the photo and title sit, too! And speaking of the title, the gorgeous 'play' word is from the Paige Evans with Pink Paislee Fancy Free Thickers ! Instead of keeping the word silver, I used some white paint and made it white! I LOVE the look! it looks like a canvas  finish! So that's my layout! Aren't my little Menn  :)cute as can be all dressed for their hockey games and ready to play?! Love them! Ha! Thanks again and enjoy your weekend! ~ Samantha

Smiling in the Sunshine Layout

Hello! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a layout of (pause for effect...) Vanessa's daughter!!! ha ha ha!! So here's the short story, that photo is just ADORABLE!! And when Vanessa posted it , I told her what a sweet photo it was and she jokingly asked me if I wanted to scrapbook it for her...so...YES!! And Vanessa, it's in the mail, coming your way! Ha! Ok, to the layout! I started by using some Distress Paints in Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass ! I just poured the colors onto the cardstock and used a paintbrush to make the large circle! Love it! This could also be done with any kind of watercolors you have, too! I layered behind the photo with a bunch of FUN papers from the Studio Calico Baxter and Basic Grey B Side 6x6 papers! I did lots of embellishing with the Fancy Pants Life is Beautiful Ephemera ! Love those little guys! Ha! The title was created with the goooooorgeous Crush Gold Thickers from Pebbles ! The title works for this page, bu...

Gettin Dirty

Hey ya'll I am so excited to share this layout with you all today! So go ahead and sip on that morning coffee and a sweet treat and come along for this fun scrapbooking layout! So my son is into anything that goes fast these day's and this mama isn't so much, but I want to support my kids and what makes them happy. So I snap this picture of my son practicing his balance on his dirt bike. This picture really does make me so proud. So lets take a look at what I came up with! I just feel like everything I feel about this picture came out perfect in my design of the layout. I used  Fancy Pants Happy Place 6x6 paper pad  for the right and left side of the layout. I just cut the papers in strips and then layered them on top of one another. For the title I used the alphabet and number pack that I had already in my stash. The title is actually the noise of the dirt bike. It's a popular hashtag so I'm told.  and finally how bout this background! YES! I really n...

Happy Birthday!

Happy Friday yall!! I am back with another layout and I am using the Fancy Pants Happy Place Collection!! I love this collection. I like how its not to girly or not to boyish. It's really a great mixture. So here is what I came up with for my first layout! I wanted to do a mixed media back ground and use these left over paper hearts I had laying on my desk. I just picked out some colors that I thought went with the collection and BOOM! there's my layout! I also used the  Happy Place Script Word Stickers  on this layout. This was my daughters birthday party, so I used the work happy and some heart stickers that came on the same sticker sheet.  I hope you all enjoyed this layout! be looking out for the process video over on my YouTube channel!  XOXOX!

Sawdust is Man(n) Glitter Layout

Hello there! Samantha here and today I'm sharing a layout that makes me smile! Ha! it's my hubs and my biggest little Mann, and they're working hard for the money! :) My husband loves woodworking, and both my littles just love helping him out! But boy does that sawdust get EVERYWHERE! ha! Ok, to the layout - I started by adding a light layer of gesso to the patterned paper. Once that was dry, I added some Pixie Paint by Cosmo Cricket to some water that I spritzed onto the paper. Hello FUN!! Ha! I set that aside to dry and started working on the layering my photos! I used various papers from the Fancy Pants Attwell 6x6 paper! LOVE that paper pack! I used embellished in that space around the two photos with ephemera from Maggie Holmes and sequins ! I created the (hysterical! ha!) title by combining thickers from Pebbles Hello Love and Spring Fling Thickers! I even added some gold glitter to the gold foil part of the word 'glitter'! Ha! I added ...

Guest Designer Sunday with Megan Hoeppner

Hello again, and happy Easter Sunday to everyone! Today is our final post with our AMAZING and gracious March Guest - Megan Hoeppner !!  ___________________________________________ Top o’ the weekend to ya! How was your St. Patrick’s Day? Do anything fun to celebrate? This was my youngest’s first, which made it a little extra special around here. We enjoyed time with friends, a visit from The Leprechaun, and some green and rainbow themed food. But, more than anything, all of the talk of good luck and time with those I love only further reminded me that I’m far more than lucky—I’m blessed! That’s the feeling I wanted to capture on this page, while also emphasizing that it was Lulu’s first March 17th. To begin, knew I wanted to create a large shamrock, so I cut my patterned paper leaves.  Originally, I was going to do more of a rainbow design, but my in-home consultant (my hubby) couldn’t tell it was a shamrock, so it was back to the drawing board I went v...

December Daily 2015 inspiration

Hey guys!   Jung  here with you today with day 1 and 2 of my December Daily album.  In case you're not familiar with December Daily, it's a mini album/journal celebrating the magic of the holiday season 25 days in December.  This is my 6th December Daily album, and I just love this project!!! I've got quite a few photos, so let's just jump right in!   For the sequin pocket, I used the new [to me]  Fuse tool  to seal the top of the pocket.  I absolutely love this tool!!!  In the past, I used to use my sewing machine or use washi tape to close the pocket.  Those methods are fine, but this tool just makes it seamless. Day 1 Supplies: *Pinkfresh Studio  Christmas Wishes rubber stickers *Fancy Pants  Office Suite 6x6 paper pad *October Afternoon  Under the Tree word stickers Day 2 Supplies: *Fancy Pants  Office Suite 6x6 paper pad *Pinkfresh Studio  Christmas Wishes die cuts *Pinkfresh Studio...

Guest Designer Sunday with Latisha Yoast

Hello!! And happy happy happy Sunday to everyone! Today we're introducing a new Guest Designer for the month of July! Latisha Yoast is here, and we couldn't be happier! LOVE her cards, love her style, just love her! Read on below to love her too!  ______________________________________________________ Hello Latisha here, sharing a “miss you” card today.  I don’t know if it is because its summer, or maybe I live in Florida, or even that my husband is in the Navy…but it seems like anchors are pretty trendy right now.  I am seeing them as embellishments packs, stamps, embossing folders & pattern papers.  So I’m using a few “new to me” product with different anchors to create this miss you card. I nstructions: 1.       I started by cutting down, and scoring some navy blue cardstock for my cardbase.  At first I started with white, but it needed more color, so I switched to navy. 2.     ...

Enjoy Your Day

Hi all!  Angel here with a sweet little card using lots of new Lawn Fawn products !  I just couldn't pass up this Let's Play stamp set and matching dies !  I colored everything with Copics and used my doxie, Dexter, as inspiration for coloring this cute pup.  **A little tip on making sure the swing set is stamped so that it will match up with the die - I laid it upside-down (so the flat side of the stamp is facing up) right over the outlined image on the packaging.  Once it was lined up to my liking, I then placed my acrylic block over the stamp and pushed down so that it was now on my block.  Clear as mud?  ;)  For my 'sky' background, I used a sheet from the Beachside 6x6 paper pad .  The grass was a leftover I had from the True Friend 6x6 paper pad .  This card measures about 3.5 x 4.25 inches. Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget that Butterfly Reflections Ink is currently have their DT Call for Spring!!!  Vanessa...

You're Amazing

Hi all!   Angel here with a card using a Waffle Flower set called In Every Way {currently out of stock}.  I embossed some flowers from the set with Liquid Platinum embossing powder.  Then I stamped my sentiment on vellum using MFT's Black Licorice hybrid ink and embossed it with Clear embossing powder .  I love the softness that vellum adds to projects.  The strip of DP on the bottom is from the As You Wish Fancy Pants paper pad .  I also added a trio of enamel dots .  And I must mention the preeeettttyyyyy new sequins that Vanessa has in the store!  Have you seen all the colors??!  OMG!  I know what I'm getting soon!   Thanks for stopping by! Hugs~ Angel

Shine Bright shaker

Hi all!   Angel here with a NO stamping card!  WHAT??!?  I know, right!?  So I have all this preeetttty sequins sitting around and it's been screaming for me to use it!  The sparkly puffy stickers are from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge pack .  They are adhered directly on top of the acetate.  The sequins inside are from the Jillibean Holly Berry Borscht collection and the stars are from the Teresa Collins Tinsel & Co pack .  That cool ombre designer paper is from the As You Wish paper pad - I just used a circle STAX to cut out the circle and backed it with black card stock.  The card base is smooth white card stock.   Thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~ Angel

Have a Perfect day

Hi all!   Angel here with a card using the Waffle Flower stamp set, In Every way {currently out of stock, oops!}.   I used our January  Mood Board for inspiration - it's just SO pretty!!  The flowers were stamped in cotton candy and Razzle Berry inks.  I love that the sentiments are already broken up so you can easily stamp them in different inks.  I had to be sure and add some gold to go along with the Mood Board inspiration, so I stamped "Perfect" in Versamark then embossed with gold EP .   The rest of the sentiment was stamped in black Memento ink .  The pink DP is from the  We Go Together paper pad  and the black and white dp is from the True Friend paper pad . I used cotton candy card stock for my base and Razzle berry card stock for layering. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Angel

Just waving Hi!

Hi all!   Angel here with a card using a super cool set by Neat and Tangled called Sailmates .  The sentiments in this set are so fun!  The rectangle frame and the paper-pieced boat were cut out from some dp in the As You Wish paper pack .  The rectangle frame is up on foam adhesive.  I embossed the waves with white embossing powder , then cut the edge of one so I could place my paper-pieced boat "in" the waves.  The sentiment was stamped on a bit of dp from the True Friend paper pack then cut out with a circle die. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Angel

Masculine Valentine

Hi all!  Angel here with a masculine valentine card for you!  Now, I realize Coralynn just showed you a card using this set two days ago and to that I say, Great Minds Think Alike!  Ha!  I mean, how adorable is this whale from the Lawn Fawn What you be mine stamp set ?!  Love him and that fun sentiment!  I inked up my craft mat steel grey and blueberry inks, spritzed with water, then smushed my watercolor paper on top of the ink blob.  I zapped it with my heat gun {because I'm impatient}, then stamped the whale and used the matching dies to die cut it.  I inked up the words to the sentiment individually so I could stack them up.  That fun little strip of dp is from the 6x6 As You Wish paper pad  (yes, I adore that paper pad!).  I added a pink heart (from the set) above his head, a vellum fishtail flag layer (which I only adhered at the top so the bottom could curl up a bit) and some x's to the bottom of the card base.  I f...

Sparkle and Shine

Hi all!  Angel here again with a quick but elegant card for you!  How cool is this sentiment??  Would you be surprised if I told you it was a sticker?!!  Yep!  This came from the Bella Rouge Puffy Word Sticker pack by Pink Paislee.  It's SO pretty and sparkly!  The words are connected, so it's super easy to work with.  I used some die-namics to cut out a frame from some dp in the As You Wish paper pack , popped it up on foam adhesive, then placed two different colors of sequins from the Tinsel & Co Sequin pack { love! } randomly to add a bit of oomph!  See, now how easy was that?!  ;) Thanks for stopping by!
