Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hi everyone, I'm here with the last post for March.  I can't believe that April is here already!  I'm certainly not complaining, I can't wait to see the buds on the trees and the birds are already back signing their lovely morning songs. My card today was actually put together mostly with dies that were already cut and just sitting on my desk waiting to be turned into a card.  All except the happy birthday sentiment.  It was die cut several times to give it the chipboard look.  And there is absolutely no stamping!   I used the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers Dies to create the frame and I popped that up on foam tape.  I used the Roses die from Paper Smooches as well as the Lawn Fawn scripty happy birthday die.  For the back panel I used a We R Memory Keepers Next Level embossing folders and I have to say these are SO COOL!!!  I used the Quilted set and I can't get enough of them.  I used a 5.5 x 4.25 panel and embossed it then used Tombo Mono Multi glue t

Hello BRI Fans!!! Piali here, I'm back with few fun cards today! I got a new package from the BRI store recently , so I used few of the new crafty goodies for these cards. One of my favorite thing from the recent BRI happy mail is the Mini Misti tool....cutest thing ever super compact and fabulous for cardmaking!!! I have used new Avery Elle stamps for my cards .. The cutest Unicorn stamp ever!!! The set is called Be A Unicorn . I did a bit of masking for this images.. I colored the image with Copics and applied some Diamond Stickles . I used Doodlebug papers for layering. Next on is with a super cute Raccoon.. ... from the Avery Elle Woodland Wonder stamp set. Simple Copic coloring for quick & easy cards. The first official day of spring has come and gone and even though I'm still waiting for warmer weather to get here, I can't help but create with springtime in my mind. Today I have a sweet Mother's Day card to share that brings flowers and sunshine to mind.  I die cut the Scripty Mom sentiment from watercolour cardstock that I had painted using pink shades of Zig Clean Color markers. Backing it on white fun foam that was die cut with the same die gives dimension, but saves cutting teeny pieces of foam adhesive. The Flower Border die was cut from various cardstocks and pieced together. Some of the leftover cardstock from the sentiment came in handy for this- perfectly colour coordinated!  The stitched rectangle adhered with foam adhesive pops up nicely against that awesome plaid paper from the Perfectly Plaid 6x6 pack.  When your card needs just that little something...? Hey folks! I hope that everyone had a great weekend! I sure did! I was feeling the need to do something with a rainbow and I ADORE the My Favorite Things Rainbow of Happiness Stamp Set ! So I started with the My Favorite Things Inside Out Square Stax Dies . I lined them all up at once on and cut them all at the same time. I cut one more of in just the largest square so I could put them all together to mount them on my card panel. Then, using a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and added My Favorite Things Hybrid Inks in Wild Cherry , Orange Fizz , Banana Split , Gumdrop Green , Tropical Teal , Blueberry and Boysenberry . You could easily just die cut colored cardstock instead of using ink, but MFT Hybrid Inks are sooo easy to use. I used the My Favorite Things Color The Rainbow Die Set and die cut some My Favorite Things Black Licorice Cardstock and adhered that to my card panel. I also stamped a sentiment from the Stamp Set in MFT Black Licorice Ink . To finish

Hello!  It is Lisa Lahiff here with you and I am so excited to be guest designing for the blog today! Yay!!!  Today I'm sharing a tried and true card featuring some basic stamping and coloring and having a blast doing it... This little girl is called Lulu Loves Poppies and it is by Stamping Bella, and she is so much fun to color and just too sweet don't you agree?  I have to admit this is the first Stamping Bella set I've ever worked with, and I'm pretty certain it has me hooked!  I can't wait to get more!  Any who, I stamped her onto my yardstick and then colored her in with an array of Copic Markers.... I then stamped my sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet: Ranunculus stamp set by WPlus9.  Added some sparkle to the flowers and finally layered it with some American Crafts patterned paper. Hello, Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here! This weekend is Easter. That means bunnies and eggs and pastel colors. As The Craft Bunny, I cannot miss this chance at making a bunny card :) Here is what I came up with. More details below: White heat emboss the Avery Elle Canopy stamp onto  watercolor paper Prepare a pastel color palette by mixing my Gansai Tambi watercolor on a mixing pan. If you don't have a mixing pan, a plate will also work. Some watercolor artists actually prefer using a plate Paint in the flowers, then paint the sky. Let the panel air dry Mask part of the canopy, stamp the bunny from MFT Somebunny with brown ink, then color it with the same watercolor. Flick some Perfect Pearl solution, white and silver opaque paints Finish off with the brown sentiment and embellish with some natural twine  I have just started mixing watercolor paints. Hello! I am so glad you stopped by today! I have a bold ink blended card to share with you today, using some stamps, and basics from the store.  Cards like this are a great way to create a simple, no pressure design, with big impact. So, I started by taking the Whimsical Greetings stamp set by My Favorite Things, and stamping the triangle stamp randomly over a panel of white card stock, using Onyx Black Versafine ink. I then heat set it using Clear embossing powder. I then began blending in a few Ranger Distress Inks, in Wilted Violet, Festive Berries, and Fossilized Amber. I took one of the sentiments from the set, and white heat embossed it onto black card stock. I trimmed it down, and added it to the panel. I adhered the panel to a white card base using a piece of fun foam. To finish it, I adhered a few black sequins. I hope you were inspired! Have a bright, and happy Wednesday, crafty friends! Hey folks! I'm back today to share a card with you that was made by special request from youngest daughter. I used the Altenew Beautiful Day Stamp Set on this card HERE, but when my on of my Squirrel's asks me to use it again, I gotta say yes! Well, that and I LOVE this set, so it's easy to say yes. This card was super duper easy too! I stamped my Images on some Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink then heat embossed them with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I used Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint to color these GORGEOUS images in. Next, I used a couple of dies from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 24 Set. One for the Watercolor Panel and one on a piece of My Favorite Things Kraft Cardstock. Before I added the Kraft Cardstock to my Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Cardstock Card Base, I used the My Favorite Things Woodgrain Background Stamp and MFT Kraft Hybrid Ink. To finish off my C

The secret to this look?  An air puffer used to clean photograph equipment!  I highly recommend using a puffer that's strictly reserved for crafting use...you wouldn't want to accidentally puff powder into the inner workings of your camera!! It's a fairly simple process...you place a piece of watercolor paper in a scrap box (to keep the powders from getting everywhere), sprinkle colorburst powder onto the paper, spritz it with water, and then puff away!  The puffing creates those thin tendrils of color.  I've created a video showing the process for three of my cards!
