One of a Kind Rainbow Card

Hello! Samantha here, and today I'm excited to share my take on the February Mood Board ! The colors are so pretty and soft and whimsical! Don't you agree? Sigh, so pretty! For my card, I went with textures and whimsical and flowy-ness! I used alcohol inks in some golds and a mauve color all on some Yupo Paper . Love that whimsical background! Once it was dry, I used some white embossing paste and the Let's Go Camping Under the Stars stencil from Echo Park . I die cut out some rainbow arches using the Magical Rainbow die from MFT ! I added an ombre of color with Black Soot and Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Inks. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Heffy Doodle Fluffy Puffy Unicorns Stamp Set onto some vellum , and then finished off the card with some natural twine! Hope you play along with the Mood Board challenge this month! You can find all of the details here! Enjoy! ~ Samantha

So I cut a background piece of paper ( Birthday Blowout 6x6 pad MFT ) A2 sized and glued to my card base.  Then i layered with a stitched rectangle in white and I also added some inking behind my scene using Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink.   I used this  Glitzy Cardstock  to cut my watermelon rind out and I love the look!   I also added some  Glo...

MFT Stamps - Little Buddies

Happy Tuesday crafty friends! Danielle here up on the BRI blog with a fun card featuring some old and some new dies and stamps from My Favorite Things! I simply adore the way this card turned out especially because it reminds me of my son Noah and our kitty Molly. I started off using one of the images from the stamp set Little Buddies and stamped directly onto my cardstock.  I then stamped the same image, this time on some Gina K Masking Magic paper and fussy cut around the image.  This is because I wanted the little boy to appear to be sitting on the grass with the hills and trees behind him.  Once I applied my masked image,  I used the new Scene Builder and stamped my grass with flowers and the hills with trees.  Once all my images were stamped I removed the masking paper to reveal the adorable scene.  I always love seeing the whole image once everything is stamped!  It's such a fun technique and can be used with any stamps you may have! ...

Best In Show - MFT

Happy Tuesday everyone! Danielle here up on the BRI blog today with a fun interactive card featuring the new My Favorite Things Best In Show stamp set.  This was super fun to make and such a cute stamp set! I started off with my main panel and using the new My Favorite Things Ray of Light Stencil and Distress Ink Oxides in Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade .  I then used the MFT Stitched Cloud Edges die and ran through my die cutting machine with glitter cardstock to create some clouds.  For my grass I used the MFT Die-Namics Grassy Fields die with some green cardstock.  I stamped one of the cute sentiments that comes with this set on the bottom of my grassy panel. I adhered my grass directly to my stenciled panel using permanent adhesive tape.  I adhered my clouds using foam adhesive for some dimension.  I then had the idea of having the dog "run" through the tunnel.  What is great about this stamp set and coordinating dies that the par...

Good Morning crafty friends! Danielle here up on the BRI blog with a fun Valentine's Day card for you best crafty girl friend featuring the My Favorite Things recent February release! I was so excited to see this month's mood board for February because I just adored the soft colors.  I wanted to create a Valentine's Day card for a friend in non traditional Valentine's Day colors.  I started off ink blending my panel using Distress Oxides in Scattered Straw , Milled Lavender , and Weathered Wood.  Once I was done ink blending, I used the My Favorite Things Lots of Hearts Stencil and applied Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste over the stencil onto my ink blended panel.  To say that I am obsessed with this glimmer paste is an understatement! It creates such beautiful shimmer over any color it is applied to! It is a must have!!  Once dried, I used the My Favorite Things Die-Namics Heart Trio Shaker Window die and ran it through my die cutting machine twice...

Hero Arts Wonder and Magic of Christmas

Hi everyone, Amanda here with you today. sharing a card I made with the new Hero Arts stamp/die set, Wonder and Magic of Christmas . I started with a Navy cardstock base and added a kraft panel cut a little smaller.  I die cut the center of the kraft layer using the largest die in the MFT Dienamics Stitched Dome Stax . I also used that same die to cut a piece of white cardstock to inlay it. Then I used the MFT Drifts and Hills stencil   and inked in a few snow hills. So, for my tree I used a light/medium/dark shade of blue ink to create an ombre effect. Then I stamped the deer and star using VersaMark embossing ink and Hero Arts Gold embossing powder.  I die cut them using the coordinating dies. I cut a banner and white heat embossed the sentiment, which is from the same stamp set.  Lastly I added some Studio Katia Iridescent Ice Flakes Crystals  for some decoration. Thanks for joining me today, head over to the BRI shop and grab some of the...
