HUGS!

Hi Everyone! It's Karin from  PeppermintPatty's Papercraft , here to share some inspiration. For today's card I've played with some adorable products from Paper Smooches and MFT and Lawn Fawn. This is a very fast and simple card - not a lot of instructions needed. I simply diecut a mini scalloped rectangle from watercolor cardstock and stamped and colored my image with copic markers. When I was done I added lots of glossy accent to the jar and let that dry before adhering the rectangle to my cardbase with foam adhesive. (I know the glossy accent doesn't show well inte picture but it looks beautiful IRL) Supplies: Stamps: Paper Smooches  Best Buds Paper: Lawn Fawn  Polka Mon Ami Dies: My Favorite Things  Mini Scallope rectangle Ink: Tuxedo Black ink Rangers Distress Ink Adhesives: Foam Adhesive Dot Gluetape Glossy Accent Coloring Mediums: Copic Markers Have a great day, hugs,  Karin   My blog My Instagram

Love, Love, Love, Love

Hey ya'll! I am back with a layout that is oh so dear to my heart. This layout was hard to do at one point during the process. See this is our family dog Hunter, and Hunter passed away a couple of months ago. It has been the hardest thing to go through especially with our children. I will never forget having to tell our children that he will no longer be with us.. Okay I crying now but Anyways I wanted to document this photo of him. I think it's important to document that good and bad of life. It reminds us of why we are grateful for what we have and what it took to get there. I wanted to do a little mixed media with this layout, so I got the black paint out and just let the paint brush go! It was so fun!  I also used a cute file from  Ashley Horton  and the paper I used for the cut file is  Pebbles Everyday 6x6 Paper Pad by Jen Hadfield  I have used every single paper in this paper pad and I love that feeling! Nothing like using every bit of product you have. Money

Triple Rainbow

Greetings, all!  It's Lorraine ( Created by Lorraine)  sharing a set of cards I made using Paper Smooches' Rainbow die .  This post is filled with lots of photos, so please bear with me:)  Here's the first card, which uses a sentiment from the Paper Smooches Flap Happy  stamp set: I created the rainbow by running the die 6 times through my die-cut machine, in all the colors of the rainbow.  I used this little paper sample pack I picked up at a stationery convention a few years ago.  Those pieces of cardstock have really come in handy when all I need is a bit of color! Then I arranged the pieces in rainbow order, then reverse rainbow, then random order:)  And, I have a bunch more pieces to make more rainbows for later projects. Next, I ran die cut the rainbow on a card panel just so I could use the negative space as a guide when assembling the rainbow.  Then I masked off the area below the rainbow, blended some distress ink to look like sunshine, and stampe

Not (Just) a Weed Bouquet Layout

Hello! Samantha with you today, and I'm sharing a sweet little layout I made of my littlest Mann and a beautiful bouquet that he picked for me! (He always picks me bouquets of dandelions, weeds and leaves. And I love EACH one! They're not just a bunch of weeds to me, they're little bits his *love* for me! Aw!!) Ok, so yeah, let's get right into it! I started by using my FAVORITE Star Dust Stencil from Memory Box . Then I created a rainbow of watercoloring with Distress Inks to create the background. Love that!! I matted the photo onto some tissue paper (because...texture!) and then did some embellishing with a floral sticker from the Fancy Free Puffy Stickers and the Starshine Chipboard Stickers ! I also used some of the puffy Sequins from Pinkfresh Studio ! Oh, and I used that beautiful clear acrylic flower from the Starshine Acrylic Shape s sticker pack! I want a million of those acrylic shapes!! The title was created using some of my favorite let

Hello, Summer

Happy Saturday!! Danielle here, long time no see. lol. I am popping in here at the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog with a fun yummy summer card!  Just in case you didn't get the memo, pineapples are "Trending" this summer. They were all over the CHA show back in January.  I fell in love with this Paper Layering Pineapple from Hero Arts.  Once, I got it in my hands I realized, what do I do with it. It doesn't cut out the pineapple, just all the details to raise for dimension.  I stared, and stared at the dang thing, then I knew what to do. I remember how I love the look of the watercolors on kraft paper. So, I went to playing. Don't add to much water, otherwise the paper will pill and wrinkle, since it's not made to accept all that water.  I added just enough to get the color down.  Then it needed a sentiment, and I found a few from the My Favorite Things, Polynesian Paradise set work great!  Finished off the card with some Little B Washi

LUCKY US

Hello Everyone and Happy FRIYAY!! I am back with another layout using more of the  Everyday Collection from Jen Hadfield by Pebbles 6x6 Paper Pad I am literally working with any extra paper I have from this collection. I love this anchor pattern paper with the pineapples! I feel like Pineapples are going to be very popular this summer.  I also used the  Everyday Ephemera Pack  on this layout. This pack has a lot of beautiful pieces, that go great with the pattern papers. I really wanted a bold title for this layout and even though they don't make words in royal blue or brown, I thought the black was the next best thing. So I used the  Amy Tangerine Foam Words  for my title. So I hope you all enjoy your Friday and if you would like to see more of my work, please check me out on YouTube! XOXO Megan

So Proud of You

Happy Thursday, everyone!  It’s Lorraine (of Created by Lorraine ) and I'm here to share a card that I’ve made for graduation season.  I have to say that graduation cards are some of my favorite cards to make – as a former educator, graduation time tends to pull on the ol’ heart strings, and I just love celebrating such an important accomplishment.  This card uses the newly released Pretty Posies stamps and dies by My Favorite Things , as well as the Simply You stamps and die by Avery Elle .  First, I stamped, colored, and die cut the flowers and leaves.  Next, I die cut the “You” 3x and glued pieces on top of each other to make a thick, almost chipboard-like design element.  Then, I stamped the "so proud of" part of the sentiment and worked on my flower arrangement – I glued the flower stems to the card and popped the head of flowers on foam adhesive to gain some dimension.  Lastly, I glued the You down on top of the flower stems and added the leaves with g

You are Awesome!

Hi guys!   It's Kimberly from Kimplete Kreativity back again with you today.   I went super bright and cheery with my card last week, so I thought I'd change it up and go soft and sweet this week! SUPPLIES: Jane's Doodles - Butterflies Stamp Set Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Watercolors MFT Pierced Rectangle Frames Versafine Onyx Black Ink Ranger Superfine Clear Embossing Powder Copic Markers Micro Glue Dots MISTI stamping tool Vellum  Gold thread I stamped and heat embossed the beautiful butterfly from Jane's Doodles' Butterflies stamp set onto vellum and colored within the lines with Copic markers.   I love the stained glass effect!   I colored on both sides of the vellum to intensify the color, but you could color just on the back side for a softer look!  Once completely colored, I fussy cut the butterfly and set it aside to work on the rest of the card. I die cut a yellow frame and a white frame using the pierced rectangle f

Hi Everyone! It's Karin from  PeppermintPatty's Papercraft , here to share some inspiration. For today's card I've played with some adorable products from Paper Smooches! 1. Start out by inking the bg with distress ink. I used Mowed lawn, Shabby Shutters and Peeled paint. 2. Die cut the flowers and take them apart so that the pieces can be colored separately. Tip: Put your diecuts on a post-it note or some post-it tape to keep the tiny die-cuts in place/ still when you are coloring them. 3. When you are done assemble your flowers again and adhere them to your panel with adhesive tape. 4. Stamp your sentiment 5. Adhere the panel to a mini scalloped rectangle diecut with foam adhesive and place on a cardbase. Paper Smooches has lots of similar designs that are all beautiful and so fun to play with! Make sure to check them all out in the shop! Supplies: Stamps: Paper Smooches Dies: Paper Smooches My Favorite Things :  Mini Scallop rectangle

Guest Designer Sunday - Elena Roussakis

Today, I'm SUPER excited to introduce our May Guest Designer - it's Elena Roussakis !!!! Seriously, she colors images the CUTEST!!!!! I LOOOOOOVE her style and can't help but swoon every time I see a new card or party set up! _____________________________________________ I'm a 30-something stay at home mom with 3 kids, and a husband I've known since kindergarten. I stamped our monogram onto the covers of 200 wedding programs 13 years ago, and vowed I'd never stamp again. But I found myself needing a creative outlet when I started staying home with kids. Something just for me. Since then, I've discovered I not only love making cards, but I love to use my stamping supplies to decorate for parties, and I have started illustrating my own stamp sets. Currently, you can find my stamp designs in the Neat and Tangled store . Below are two cards Elena made that just KNOCK my socks off: See what I'm talking about? This card uses a NEW stamp set b
