Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Good morning everyone, Amy Copeland here again with a sunshine and rainbows-themed card using Hello Bluebird products.  I used the new stamp set called  Puddle Play  for the adorable elephant and an older set called  McGregor's Garden  for the three little birds.   I stamped out my animals onto smooth white card stock and colored them with my Copic Markers (warm grays for the elephant and blue greens for the birds). I then used the coordinating dies for each ( Puddle Play) , ( McGregor's Garden)  to cut them out. Once my images were ready, I started working on the background.  I used this beautiful Radiating Rays stencil from MFT Stamps on a piece of smooth white cardstock with my Distress Oxide inks.  First, I applied a layer of Squeezed Lemonade through the stencil with my Mini Ink Blending Tool  to completely fill in the sun and rays.  Second, I used Fossilized Amber over the circle part and at the "top" of the rays closest to the sun.  Finally, I remov

Hi everyone! Lindsay here for the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog post today. I'm still obsessed with then new  Avery Elle  release so I've made another card using their products today.  I first cut out an A2 size stitched rectangle panel using Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Dies. Then I used the Avery Elle  Circle Frame Elle-ments Die  to cut out the evenly spaced circle frames onto the panel. I'm really loving this new die from Avery Elle as I struggle with layout sometimes and this does all the work for you and you get perfectly spaced circle frames every time! This would be great for any sort of mass production of cards. I had some  Distress Oxide Ink  backgrounds from previously playing around with them and the Distress Micro Glaze, so I used the pinkish and bluish backgrounds and cut tiny squares out of the backgrounds just large enough to cover the space left by the Circle Frame Dies. Hi crafty friends...it's Tuesday...which means it's  Heather here with another project to share  of my sweet little lady on Easter. I have been playing with the "Adore You" and "Beautiful Day" stamp sets from Altenew for some time now and I love these flowers!  It is also helpful to have the matching dies especially when stamping and cutting a field full of flowers.  These images aren't too difficult to fussy cut, but I am not a fan!   You can find the "Adore You" stamps and matching dies in a set in the store...and if you prefer a different look, there are so many Altenew stamps available in the shop that can also be used to create this look. In order to create this rainbow of flowers, I started with watercolor paper and  distress inks from Tim Holtz and got to smooshing.  If you haven't seen this done before, I "smoosh" the ink pads on my craft mat, spray some water, then run the watercolor paper through the ink.  I

Hi, it's Mona here! For today I created a colorful card with Heffy Doodle products. These stamps are absolutely cute so I mixed the Elephant of Surprise and Geology Rocks stamp sets, for the gem land look! :)  First I created the gem hill with lots of masking, using the  Geology Rocks  stamp set, then I colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut it. After this I colored the elephant from the  Elephant of Surprise  stamp by using warm toned greys Copic markers. The background is made with  Peacock Feathers  and  Blueprint Sketch  distress oxide inks. Finally I heat embossed the sentiment with  Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder . Hey y'all! It's Kelli Cool here again and I just wanted to share this card I made using the new Hello Bluebird release! The elephants in this collection are too cute! I used the Hell Bluebird Puddle Play stamps and dies for this card. I colored the images with Copic markers. For the elephant I used C0, C2, and C3. For the clouds I used B0000 and B00, and for the duck I used Y11, Y 15 and Y 17. I heat embossed the sentiment with Ranger Fine White Embossing Powder. Added a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink and Posh and I was done! Leave a comment and let me know what you think!  

Happy Saturday, everyone! Lindsay here on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog with a card using some of the "new to the shop" Mama Elephant goodies. It's been exciting news around here that Butterfly Reflections Ink now carries  Mama Elephant  products! When I saw the  Little Agenda Frames Stamp Set  and  Little Agenda Frames Dies  I knew I had to have them! This stamp and die set includes frames of all shapes and sizes as well as coordinating dies to cut out either the frame outline on its own or the center portion as well. I chose to cut out the outline as well as the middle of the frames in order to fit in my  Little Dog Agenda  images inside the frame itself. This picture was a little sneak peek from my Instagram Story last week. I  Copic Colored  all the dogs from the stamp set as I wasn't sure exactly which images I wanted for my card. I then got to ink blending on some Bristol Smooth Paper using  Blueprint Sketch ,  Cracked Pistachio , and

LOLOLOLOL I couldn't resist using the sloth from the new stamp set we released yesterday called Breathe Rainbows that is a collaboration with Kimma Parish (Le Petite Market). There is a rainbow image in this set and I thought oooh, that would be cute with an array of rainbow colored coffee cups and voila... *instant* cuteness! Though instant is kind of a lie because it takes me forever to make a card. HA!!! Good morning, everyone!  It's Amy Copeland back on the blog today with an ink-blended thank you card.  Of course, my card is blue and green (I sometimes think I'm incapable of making a card without including blue or green--or both--haha).  I love this beautiful stamp set called No One Else  by WPlus9.  I started my card by ink blending Peacock Feathers  and Lucky Clover   Distress Oxide  inks with my Mini Ink Blending Tool  onto some smooth white cardstock.  Once I was happy with the blend, I spritzed some water with a little spray bottle onto the card stock, left it for about 10 seconds, then blotted the excess water up with a paper towel.  This lifts up some of the color so you get an interesting, subtle, splattered look on your ink blending.  I cut the blended panel out with a stitched rectangle die ( This set and this set are two great options.) Next, I used the coordinating No One Else Die  to cut the word "Kindness" out of the ink blended panel.

The whole release is available on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Store and I highly recommend checking it out. Today, I'm sharing two cards using the  Avery Elle Magnolia Stamp Set . The first, shown below, is a bright, bold card. It was created for my cousin who recently graduated from NYU. I started with stamping the  Magnolia Stamps  onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock using  Versafine Onyx Black Ink  with my Mini Misti . I then heat embossed the image with  Hero Arts Ultra Fine Clear Embossing Powder . Once that was finishing, I took out my  Clean Color Real Brush Markers  from Kuretake Zig and got to coloring! I really have to say that coloring with Zigs on Bristol Smooth Paper is one of my favorite things right now. I hope you are having a great week and had time to play with some paper today!  Heather here to share another project with you using the Hello collection from Doodlebug Designs.   After three layouts, I have so much product left for probably another few layouts!  This layout is of my daughter and husband out on a "daddy-daughter date"...so sweet! This layout came together so much quicker than normal , but it was easy when I had all of these adorable speech bubbles from the Hello Collection chit chat package.  I couldn't narrow down the ones I wanted to use because they all had such cute messages...so I add them all! I started with a 12 x 12 piece of black cardstock and started laying down the speech bubbles I wanted to use.. .spacing them out like a puzzle.  I have been reaching for a lot of black cardstock lately because I love the way the bright colors look against the dark background...Once I had them placed the way I wanted, I glued them

Hi, it's Mona here! Today I'm showing you two cards featuring  Studio Katia  products.  First I made the backgrounds with Altenew Coffee Break Mini Inks and Mini Ink Blending Tool on the light brown cardstock. When it was done, I splattered on it with black and white Gesso. I stamped my images from  Floral Trimmings Stamp Set  with  Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad  to another light brown cardstock. I used my  Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder  for heat embossing. When it was done I colored the image with  Coffee Break Mini Inks and I used them as watercolor.  When it was dry I run it through my Die Cut machine with the Fancy Circle Die two times. I also made 4 Die Cuts with white cardstock, too. For the background I heat embossed words from the Japanese Peony Stamp Set and put all my pieces together. Thanks for stopping, see you next time. Good morning, everyone!  I am just head-over-heels (no pun intended haha) for this darling stamp set called Making Magic   by Neat & Tangled!  These kiddos are so cute and who could resist their huge smiles and their precious outfits?!  I tend to color my stamped images as if they are my husband and me when they come in a boy/girl pair in a set and this is no exception--so if you ever notice that my characters tend to always have dark brown hair on the girl and sandy brown hair on the boy, now you know why! 😊 This card actually came together fairly quickly.  I started with the adorable characters and went from there.  I stamped everything with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink  and then colored them with my Copic Markers.  I then brushed my trusty  Wink of Stella  brush tip marker in clear over her dress, the stars, his vest, her bows, her ribbon belt, and her shoes. I applied a layer of  Glossy Accents  on top of the hula hoop, her collar, shoes, and bows, the stars, his bow tie
