Spooky and Cute August Moodboard Inspiration

Hi everyone! Peggy here with some August moodboard inspiration. All the craft brands are releasing their new Halloween goodies and when I saw the moodboard it just spoke to me! Let me show you how I made this early Halloween card and how to easily stretch your supplies for different occasions! I am still in love with the Bubbles of Joy mice from Lawn Fawn and today they are cooking together with one of the mice from A Creature was Stirring . But I don’t own any of the cute Halloween sets from Lawn Fawn. However, I thought the upside down Snowglobe from Ready, set, snow , would make an awesome cauldron. So, I looked through my stash to find some things that could match that idea. I stamped the mushrooms from Gleeful Gardens , the books from Den Sweet Den , the witches’ hats from Holiday Party Animal and the fairies from A Little Sparkle and Unicorn Picnic . I stamped the images in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink (still my favorite) and colored everything in the color palette from the Augu...

You've stolen my heart Moodboard inspiration!

Hi everyone! Peggy here with some moodboard inspiration. I hope you will join our challenge on Instagram @brimoodboardchallenge! This cute raccoon is from Honey Bee Stamps and the set is called Stolen my heart.  He fits the moodboard perfectly because of the grey and black and the little heart in hot pink really pops! Let me show you how I made this card. I started by stamping the little raccoon in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored him with my copic markers (C for the raccoon, RV for the heart). I covered the panel with the Heffy Doodle Rays the Roof Stencil and blended Picked Raspberry and offset Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks. I wrapped some black and white baker's twine round the part of the panel where I wanted the raccoon. Next I adhered the panel to a slightly larger black panel I cut with my paper trimmer with some foam tape and adhered th...

Moodboard Inspiration with Peggy

I am so happy to be here among such talented crafters and hope to inspire you with my work! Today’s card is a thank you card inspired by this month ’ s gorgeous moodboard featuring rose gold, powder pink, icy mint and deep space blue. I started by cutting a side folding slimline card base from white 300 gsm paper measuring 7 x 8.5 inch, scored at 3.5 inch using my EK success mini scoring board . From rose gold mirror board I cut a panel measuring 3.5 x 8.5 inch and a panel of white 300 gsm cardstock to do some ink blending measuring 3 x 8 inch. Next I taped my panel to my Tim Holtz glass media mat (travel size). I used three colors of distress oxide pads , starting at the bottom with dried marigold , then spun sugar and tattered rose . I used my Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and some chipped sapphire distress oxide ink to overlay a cloud pattern. Lastly, I used distress o...
