Cute Holiday Penguins

Hi crafty friends! Christmas is almost here so these adorable Sunny Studio penguins are busy getting ready for the holidays!  The penguins under the mistletoe actually come from a non-holiday set but I thought they would be perfect for the little mistletoe scene. My favorite penguin is the little guy with antlers enjoying the warm mug of cocoa! These Sunny Studio penguins are just the cutest! After cutting out the pieces for the center picture window card, I made my own patterned paper with the snow stamp from the Lawn Fawn set Window Scene: Winter and Lawn Fawn kiddie pool ink. I went with a pink and aqua color theme-- very non-traditional holiday colors but I just love them together! I used some kitsch flamingo Distress oxide ink to add a bit of color to the inside panels and to stamp the sentiments.  Supplies used: Lawn Fawn Center Picture Window dies Lawn Fawn Center Picture Window Add On dies Sunny Studios Penguin Party  (coordinating dies available here )...

Hippo Hooray!

Hi crafty friends! It's Jenn and I'm excited to be back on the BRI blog with a Clearly Besotted card for you! Did you know that BRI is one of only two US based retailers that carries Clearly Besotted ? I just love their cute sets, especially these chonky hippos from the Hippo Bird Day set ! For today's card, I wanted to try my hand at no line coloring. I used Ink on 3 Fadeout Ink ( Lawn Fawn jelly fish ink is similar) to stamp out my images and colored them with Copic markers. I am NOT an expert in no line coloring (this was my 2nd time trying this technique). Fortunately, after coloring my images, my kids recognized my efforts and said "is this no line coloring?" and could tell they were hippos and birds, hahaha! I'll count that as a win LOL 😂  I used Lawn Fawn Center Picture Window dies and ink blended and splattered the background with a cloudy stencil and Distress Oxide ink ( tumbled glass , broken china ). For the grass, I used Distress Oxide inks (...

Happy Easter in Bunnyville!

Hi crafty friends! Happy Easter! Peggy here with, of course, an Easter card!  I am so excited to show you my first project with Sunny Studio Stamps . Today I'm crafting with two stamp sets from the 2022 Spring Release, the adorable Bunnyville  and Little Birdie ! Let's get started! I started by cutting a panel from some white cardstock and ink blended with Lawn Fawn's Plaid Stencil with Spun Sugar ,  Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks. I wanted to make the sentiment from the Bunnyville stamp set the star of the show. Therefore, I stamped the sentiment from the Bunnyville stamp set in brown pigment ink in the middle of the panel. I used a layer of Versamark Embossing Ink over top and heat embossed with clear powder. Next, I covered the sentiment with a piece of paper and added gold metallic watercolor paint splatters to my panel. I used two stitched nested oval dies to create a white frame to put around my heat embossed sentiment. I adhered the fr...

Have a Happy Day Card by Tina

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with a colorful rainbow card for you today! To start I stamped all my images on Neenah Solar White 110lb Cardstock    Sunny Studio Heart Bouquet three times    The cute fox from Lawn Fawn Scootin’ By This card needed a bit of preparation because it involved selecting an assortment of copic markers. But once that selection is made, the coloring itself is a breeze. I die cut the images and placed the 3 balloon bouquets on top of each other so I could decide which balloon needed which color to create a rainbow effect from the bottom to the top. Copics used Reds        R22, R24, R37                                Orange    YR07, Y38 Yellow     Y15, Y19, Y02          ...

No Peeking Card by Audrey Tokach

Hello friends! Audrey here! I am back today with my second post as guest designer for December! My card today uses products from Honey Bee Stamps and Lawn Fawn ! To create my card, I started off by diecutting a piece of kraft cardstock, cut to 4" x 5.25" with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake Backdrop . Then, I used it over completely with Lawn Fawn Yeti Ink , and splattered the background with watered down white acrylic paint. I added a snowy hill by diecutting a piece of white cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside dies . I stamped a few images from the Merry Little Mice stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps . colored them with Polychromos colored pencils, and fussy cut them with my scissors. I popped them up on the hillside, and stamped a sentiment from the Honey Bee Merry Christmouse stamp set onto a banner diecut. I matted the panel with a piece of gingham paper from my stash, and added a snippet under the sentiment too. To finish off my card, I ad...

Happy Belated Birthday Card by Sara

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the June BRI Mood Board Challenge . When I first saw it, I didn’t know what to do but then…I saw an Hawaiian shirt on a tv programme and I had my inspiration! It had black, blue, coral and yellow leaves, and it was perfect for the BRIMOOD board! LOL So, this is my inspiration! I looked through my crafty stash and this Sunny Studio – Silly Sloths stamp came out: they were perfect for the scene I had in mind. I stamped many of the critters of the set, I only did a bit of masking on the upper left sloth that lies on the other sloth’s back. I also stamped some hibiscus. I then hand drew many different tropical leaves, to set my scene. I started to color the background, with a light yellow: I only wanted a yellow gradient tone on the bottom part. I then colored the sloths and the leaves. As I wanted to respect the BRIMOOD board, I mixed dark blue, teal and yellow. And I love because I also get some green shades, mixing the...

June BRI Moodboard with Davina

Hello crafty friends. Davina here, on the blog. It’s been over 5 weeks since I’ve be able to make a card or really be creative. I’m going through a lot and I can’t seem to move out of this creative block. But... today I was scheduled on the blog and really wanted to share something. My card took me twice as long as usually do to the countless hours sitting at the desk and nothing happening. But, I persevered, and feel proud to have made something that I think is cute.  I used the super adorable  Outback Critters  from Sunny Studios and bright summer colors from the June BRI Moodboard. I wanted an Australian river scene with a variety of cute critters, and since I didn’t want to overwhelm myself, I kept it to a standard size.  I started by stamping out some critters and branches from the  Outback Critter  set and the cattail scene from the  Country Scenes  set. I also stamped one leafy tree from an older set, Seasonal Trees,   that I thou...

Birthday Kitties

Hi Friends! It's Dana here with you today and I am sharing a card that uses a fun stamp, stencil and die combo set from Waffle Flowers Crafts.   I started my card by stamping my birthday kitty with the Birthday Kitties Stamp Set . I then used the coordinating Birthday Kitties Stencil to add color to my image. This step is so quick and easy! Next, I used the coordinating Birthday Kitties Die to die cut my image. Isn't the kitty just adorable? There is also a similar puppy set: Birthday Puppies .  For my card panel, I used the Stitched Diamond Panel Die . This is a great basic die that adds the perfect amount of detail to your card panel. I mounted my diamond panel onto a piece of light gray patterned paper from the Sunny Studios Polka Dot Parade Paper Pack . Lastly,  I stamped my sentiment (from the Birthday Kitties Stamp Set) onto a black piece of cardstock and heat set it with white embossing powder.  I then attached my sentiment and birthday kitty to my card pan...

Bear Hugs

Hello everyone! It's Ashley back to guest post again! Vanessa just can't seem to get rid of me! Today I have a super cute card for you using the Bear Friends set from Pretty Pink Posh. It's perfect for Valentine's Day or just because! Look how cute those bears are! I started my card with a pink background in honor of Valentine's Day. I blended Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides, fading into white towards the center. I then splattered it with water and gold watercolor for a bit of shine. I used the bushes from the Hello Bluebird Pond Builder dies for a bit more background interest. I blended Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey for a golden color, then splattered with two different gold watercolor paints from the Starry Colors palette by Gansai Tambi.  For the trees, I used the Hello Bluebird Birch Tree dies with white cardstock, then I made my grass with another die in the Hello Bluebird Pond Builder set. I used...

Hello Summer!

Hello everyone! It's Ashley with a variation on the magical rain shaker card - a falling rainbow! I started by creating my cloud background with the My Favorite Things Mini Cloud Edges stencil and Lawn Fawn Mermaid Ink . I die cut another piece of white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Scalloped Squares and an A2 stitched rectangle so I could see where my window would be. I also embossed the sentiment from Sunny Studio Stamps Fabulous Flamingos with Versafine Onyx Black and clear powder . I framed the window with foam tape and created the falling rainbow by stringing multiple colors of beads diagonally across the background. It helps to use double sided tape to hold the string in place on the foam! Once all the beads were on, I added a second layer of foam tape to sandwich the strings in place and give plenty of space for the beads to move. Tip: if the beads are sticking, add a bit of anti-static powder to the sides of the foam tape - no more sticking...

Slothsome Birthday!!!

Hello Friends, Waleska from craftinglovew again here with you!!! I am so so so happy to be back sharing with you this card that I had so much fun making.... I am so grateful for this Cardmaking community that helps each and everyone of us in different ways!!!  So who is ready for a Slothsome Party??  I know I am... CARD DETAILS: To create this fun card I started with a card base a little longer than normal because I wanted to use as many of this Sunny Studio Stamps Sloths in my card.  I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Cloud Backdrop for the background, I used Oxide Inks in colors Peacock Feathers   and Worn Lipstick  . I used a branch die to create the scene and colored it with markers.  For the adorable sloths I used Versafine Onyx Black ink  and Zig Markers.  The party hats and the balloons are from the Birthday Smiles Stamp Set  and the Froggy Friends Stamp set  (which are on sale at the shop... so run) I loove those ...

Everything's Rosy

Happy Friday Friends!! It is  Dana  here today with a card using the Gorgeous  Sunny Studio: Everything's Rosy stamp set . I started my card by stamping my flowers with the  Altenew Cherry Blossom Mini Cube Set . Next, I used the  Altenew Green Meadows Mini Cube Set  for my leaves. I love the Altenew mini ink cubes for layered stamping...they blend perfectly! I also used my  Original MISTI Tool  to help line up all the different layers. Once everything was stamped, I used the  Sunny Studio: Everything's Rosy Dies  to die cut my flowers and leaves.  For my card panel, I die cut the  Reverse Confetti: Vertical Stripes Cover Panel  from white cardstock. I then mounted this onto my A2 card base. Next, I stamped my sentiment onto a cardstock strip and attached this to my card panel. Then, I used  3D Dots Foam Adhesive  to attach my flowers to my card front. To finish my card, I added some of the...

Say Yes To The Vest

Hey, there BRI fans!  Kathy here to share a fun card that is perfect for Father's Day or any masculine card.  If you're like me, guy cards are always such a challenge, but using Sunny Studio Designs Sweater Vest Dies makes it easy and fun! For my first Sweater Vest card, I used Lawn Fawn cardstock in White , Chocolate Bar and Kraft .  The vest front was embossed with Sunny Studio Dapper Diamonds embossing folder to add texture.  The tie was cut from Sunny Studio Gingham Jewel Tones pattern paper. For my next Sweater Vest card, I used Lawn Fawn cardstock in White and Noble Fir . The vest front was created using  Sunny Studio Dapper Diamonds embossing folder and the tie/diamond cuts were made from  Sunny Studio Gingham Jewel Tones 6x6 paper pad .
