 Hello, Everyone! Hope you all enjoyed a lovely holiday weekend. I am back to share a sweet slimline Christmas card. I don't know about you, but I keep seeing pictures of serene mountain villages on my social media feeds. It really makes me want to be in one of those towns, enjoying what looks to be a peaceful, quiet, no kids yelling and fighting, Covid-free, lovely place. I don't often make cards that are focused purely on kraft card stock, but I always love the look of them, and really wanted to have a muted tone-on-tone look for this card. I knew I wanted to use Trinity Stamp's Slimline Rooftops Border die , but I wanted to use it in a different way. So, I opted for a vertical slimline. Hello crafty friends and happy Artist Sunday!    Ashley D. here.   I’m so excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog on the most perfect day to help celebrate those of us with a passion for creativity.     The holiday season is officially underway, and I’m so excited to be finally breaking out all those fun Christmas supplies.     Today I created a fun card featuring a wintery scene with some of my most favorite Mama Elephant Little Agenda friends.       I started by ink-blending a background with Distress Oxide ink ( Tumbled Glass ,  Chipped Sapphire ,  Faded Jeans ,  Candied Apple ,  Barn Door ,  Squeezed Lemonade  and  Scattered Straw ), onto  Bristol Smooth cardstock, then die cut it with the Mama Elephant  Hillside Cover Creative Cut .  I ink-blended another scrap piece of Bristol with the red and yellow Distress Oxide colors and die cut it using the new Mama Elephant  Big Oh So Jolly Creative Cuts  for my bold sentiment.   I  cut and colored the mountain backdrop fr

Hello friends! Davina here with a quick blog post and sharing my last project of the month using the November BRI Moodboard. As we are so quickly speeding through the end of this crazy year I feel like I haven’t had as much time for Cardmaking and coloring as I normally would like. But I am so happy with how this winter card turned out using the cozy fall colors of the current color board.    I often feel like knowing what colors I need to use takes away a lot of the mental struggle of choosing a theme for me. It helps me focus and not get so easily distracted trying to make decisions. I wanted to use the super fun  Happy Little Tree Farm  die set from Trinity Stamps. It comes with tons of tree pieces to make a whole forest of wonky trees. There are so many ways to layer them and switch the pieces about. I cut all the dies from two pieces of scrap cardstock, in mint and moss green. Then I used Peacock Feathers and Evergreen Bough distress oxide inks to inkblend onto the edges, to creat

 Happy Friday, Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones. This was the first year that we didn't spend the holiday with extended family. We still made a big dinner, and my son baked pumpkin pie...which we haven't eaten yet because we were so full! Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to really focus on getting all those holiday cards made. I'm sharing a pair of cards today that are full of sparkle and shine. I just recently got this Snowflake Circle Frame die and have been so excited to use it. I decided to use a piece of holographic paper, and wow - what an impact. Because this die cuts out the interior detail, I first cut the holographic paper with a larger circle die so that I could create the look of an ornament. I knew I wanted to make a shaker card, so I got a piece of acetate and white heat-embossed the &

 Happy Thanksgiving, crafty friends!  I hope you have an absolutely beautiful day filled with family and fun! These sweet little critters are enjoying their Thanksgiving!  To make this card, I made a base using Heffy Doodle Stitched Rectangle Dies and Quilted Heart Background Die . I stamped images from the Waffle Flower Pumpkin House stamp set and then colored them with Copic markers. After cutting out the images with the coordinating dies, I adhered everything to the front of my card with 3D foam squares. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Xoxo, Amanda

Hi everyone! Tina here with a set of winter themed birthday cards featuring one of my favorite  Lawn Fawn stamps:  Winter Otter.   For the background I used Distress Inks in Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet and the "smoosh" technique to create the icy water splashed look. I die cut the panel with the Mama Elephant Sweet Feline frame die . I stamped, embossed and colored the otters with Copic markers. Using a white gel pen I added some snowflakes to the scarves and cut them out with the coordinating Winter Otter Lawn Cuts. The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Year Five stamp set and I stamped and embossed it using Versifine black ink.   I cut the snowflakes using the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes dies and some white glittered card stock.   I'm always in need of birthday cards and thought these would be perfect for my friends with winter birthdays!! Hello friends!! Welcome! It's Leeds here today and I'm so excited to share a fun pop-up birthday card  featuring a lot of Mama Elephant and Lawn Fawn goodies. H ere are the steps:  Step 1: Stamp all the images from Mama Elephant Party Animals ,   Me and My Dragon ,  Birthday Bash   and Piñata Party stamp set  using Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. Step 2:   C olor  each image with Copic markers. I also added a few highlights using white gel pen. Step 3:  Cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card stock and score it on the 4 1/4" to use as a base card. Step 4:  Cut a 4 1/4'" x 5 1/2" card stock  and c reate the background using Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar , Scattered Straw and Tattered Rose . Step 5:  Cut a white card stock   using Lawn Fawn Scripty Happy Lawn Cuts Dies and  ink blended Candied Apple , Carved Pumpkin , Squeezed Lemonade , Twisted Citron and Shaded Lilac. Step 6:  Stamp the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Baked With Love Stamp Set   on a  

  Hi crafty friends! Sophie here and today I'm sharing this fun duo of holiday cards featuring supplies from Mama Elephant. I hope you enjoy!!  I used the Mama Elephant Favor Bag Fox and die cut him out of Lawn Fawn Canned Pumpkin Cardstock .  I used ink to darken the edges so he really stands out from the background. I used Pumpkin Spice ink for the blue card and Doe ink for the brown card. It really gives the cardstock a unique look!  For the backgrounds of these cards I used the Lawn Fawn Let it Shine paper pad and ink blended on the top edge for an ombre effect. It really adds so much to patterned paper when you add ink blending!  For the sentiments I heat embossed greetings from the Mama Elephant Puffy Holiday Greetings set in gold onto black cardstock and tucked it into the little fox's hands.  I hope you enjoyed these simple holiday cards! They came together so quickly and would be easy to mass produce for holiday cards. See you all next week! :) 

 Hi Friends!  I'm back again sharing some mood board inspiration for you!  Check out the beautiful colors on this month's mood board.   Honestly, I struggled with this one a bit.  These colors represent a tetradic color scheme, and are often difficult to put together without becoming overwhelming.  I choose to find balance by using an equal amount of each color on my card.  Everything was bound together by using gold highlights, since gold seemed to fit in nicely with each color on the mood board.   To start, I masked off an A2 size of Bristol smooth cardstock on top and bottom using post-it tape.  Next, I ink blended the following distress oxide inks (left to right): mustard seed , abandoned coral , evergreen bough , wilted violet .  Next, I used the happy trails stencil by simple stories to ink in the forest background.  Distress Inks used from left to right: fossilized amber, picked raspberry, lucky clover and seedless preserves.  Then, I removed the mask and adhered a small

 Happy Friday, Everyone! Allison here, and I am sharing a sweet holiday scene today featuring some Lawn Fawn products. I was inspired by my son, who loves to bake and cook - he will certainly get a kick out of this card. Everything can be found in the BRI online shop . I stamped images from the " A Creature Was Stirring " and the " Baked with Love " stamp sets using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink . I did mask a few of the images, such as the mouse on the butter stick and the gingerbread house on the cake stand. I didn't really need to do that, but I just wanted some of the elements to not look so cluttered. I colored the images with Copic markers and added a few highlights with a white gel pen. I cut some white card stock using the Peekaboo Backdrop die . I had originally planned on using a different patterned paper for each window, and I did try just about EVERY paper that I had.  Hey there, crafty friends!  Are you getting all of your holiday cards done!?  It's Amanda here with this colorful holiday card! I love using non-traditional colors on holiday cards!  I feel like it keeps things interesting!   To create this bright and happy card, I started with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Die . For my background, I blended Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides. I made some houses using Catherine Pooler's Alpine Village Stamp Set.   I used Catherine Pooler inks and Memento inks to stamp the images. To create snow, I used Simon Says Stamp's Falling Snow Stamp and Wow!  Embossing Powder. I stamped my little critters from the Waffle Flower Pumpkin House Stamp Set .  I colored them with Copic markers. For my sentiments, I used Heffy Doodle Whatcha Sayin' and Whatcha Saying Now Stamp Sets . I put everything together using 3D foam squares and strips!  I love how bright and colorful it turned out!
