Hi there! Crystal h ere, on this Friday eve with a fun card made with Winnie & Walter In A Word: Happy stamp set and Dies. It has been a couple months since I have been on the Butterfly Reflections Blog, so I am super excited to share this card with you. I was so excited, I made it in two tones! Traditional Christmas Colors More of a Winter theme. To start I die using In A Word: Happy from a white piece of cardstock. Next, I stamped the words happy in various shades of blue from Altenew in Ocean Waves, Dusk, Desert night and Persian Blue. Next, I heat embossed the "holidays" using WOW gold glitter embossing powder. The shaker is then filled with Pretty Pink Posh Gold Stars and finished off with Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti. The traditional colored card was made the same way, just the colors were changed up a bit. Very festive, right?! Hope you enjoyed it, I enjoyed making it! 'Til next time! Crystal

Hi everyone! It's Christine here for Butterfly Reflections Ink . I just had to squeeze in one more fall card before I buckled down and made all my Christmas cards. I decided to create a card using the adorable Acorn Sisters Stamp Set from Honey Bee Stamps . Here's my card: To create my card, I first created my background by cutting a piece of Canson XL watercolor paper to a standard A2 size card front and painting it with some fall watercolors using my Gansai Tambi 36 Set Watercolor Paint Set . I just did a simple watercolor wash background technique to create this look. Next, this image was screaming to me to do some no water coloring, so I stamped the image with some watercolor approved black ink and stamped it onto some Canson XL watercolor paper. I then painted the image with my Zig Markers and my Detailer Waterbrush . I then cut the image out using the Coordinating Acorn Sisters Honey Cuts Dies . I stamped my sentiment onto my panel and then adhered
Hello everyone! It's Jacquie today with a pretty Christmas card! Before I get started, I want to remind you that there is a FANTASTIC SALE going on right now at Butterfly Reflections Ink! I started this card by taking an A2 sized card panel and stamping images from Studio Katia Merry Poinsettia set around the entire card using Copic friendly ink. I colored them with Copic markers. Then I took the Studio Katia Dotted shaker tag die and centered it on my colored card panel and cut it out. I assembled the shaker card by cutting out clear acetate and using a strong tape adhesive to cover the shaker window. I stamped Be Merry from the Studio Katia Merry Poinsettia stamp set on a piece of clear acetate. I used my MISTI stamping tool for this because I needed to stamp it a few times to get good coverage, and also because I did not want to smear the ink. Hello and welcome to Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 with a super cute stocking-stuffer to share with you... How fun are these? I used lots of fun products from My Favorite Things to create these, including: Die-namics Tall Tag Duo Die-namics Lip Balm Window and Frame Lip Balm Pouches Jingle All The Way Stamp Set Die-namics Jingle All The Way Sending Smooches Stamp Set To make these a little easier to open, I used the MFT Die-namics Essential Sentiment Rip Strips die on the back of my tags. I added this fun little arrow and "Pull Here" sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Push Here Stamp Set and coordinating Push Here Lawn Cuts. These little reindeer were so much fun to work on! I colored them with Copic Markers then added a bit of Glossy Accents and red glitter to his nose and Silver Stickles to the bells on his collar. A few white dots from my Gelly Roll White Pen was the finishing touch!
Hi there! Emily Midgett here with a guest post during this holiday weekend. Have you heard of The Stamp Market ? They're a relatively new company, and they have some suuuuper cute designs, and Vanessa just so happens to carry them in her shop! I just love how many great brands she carries in her store. The Marble background stamp is so clever and so very unique that I just couldn't resist it! Combining it with flowers.... well, it's like a pretty bouquet sitting on a beautiful marble countertop.... hopefully haha! To start, I stamped the Marble background stamp on a piece of A2 sized magenta card stock using Altenew's Purple Wine ink and my MISTI. After I had inked it up to my satisfaction with the Purple Wine ink, I dabbed some Delicata Silver on my Marble background stamp and added a few veins of silver to my marbled panel. Including the ever so adorable Polar Pals from MFT. I know I shared my love for them last week but I just can’t get enough of them! Check out the latest card made using the cuddly polar bear- I first created the inlaid die cut background using PPP’s Merry Christmas Script die and white paper. I layered th panel onto some red paper and a kraft cardbase. Red, white, and kraft is my favorite holiday color scheme. Then I popped up the bear after Copic coloring him along with a punny heat embossed sentiment and a few sequins. Happy Friday and make sure to steal some deals!!!
Hi everyone, Jenny here. I hope you're all having a wonderful Thanksgiving for those of you that celebrate it. I'm certainly looking forward to stuffing my face with Turkey later!! This week I have not one but two cards, using the most wonderful christmas/wintery/fall type background stamp I think that ever existed (note: opinions are my own and in no way reflect the views or opinions of Butterfly Reflections Ink ☺☺☺☺). It's the Hero Arts Forest and Deer Background stamp. This was released I think early this year, but honestly it's so versatile and impactful, you just gotta get it! To create the cards I used Distress Oxide Ink in Iced Spruce. I used Oxide for two reasons - one, I'm stamping on dark green cardstock and the Oxides act more like pigment ink (they're opaque) and show up really well on dark cardstock. And 2) they stay sticky long enough to heat emboss without adding any additional embossing ink. I inked up the background st
Well, hello, again, Re-Inkers! It's Andrea back to share a fun Christmas card featuring the oh-so-adorable reindeer from Pretty Pink Posh's Reindeer Friends set. Sometimes I like to imagine story lines for my cards. For this card, poor Rudolph has been hard at work wrapping and stacking presents for Christmas Eve while the other reindeer enjoy a game of leap frog over his hard work. Not cool, I say, but so darn cute! All of the images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics. To create the stack of presents, I first created masks from Stamping Masking Paper . Once I had all of my presents stamped, I masked them to work on my background, which I created with Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks. After everything was colored, I added details with a white gel pen and lots of sparkle with clear Wink of Stella (I know, big surprise, right?). I also added just a dab of Glossy Accents to Rudolph's

Thursday is Thanksgiving Day here in the US so I thought it would be fun to create a fun Thanksgiving card using the adorable Forest Feast Stamp Set from Lawn Fawn . All products I used today to create this card are available over at Butterfly Reflections Ink . Here's my card: To create this card, I first cut a rectangle out of some Canson XL watercolor paper using the Wonky Rectangles Dies from MFT . I then did some light inking with my Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink . I then lightly spritzed the panel with some water from my distress sprayer to create that fun distressed effect. Next I stamped my images from the Forest Feast Stamp Set from Lawn Fawn and colored the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and my Detailer Water Brush . I then cut my images out using the coordinating Forest Feast Lawn Cuts Dies and then placed the critters onto my panel. I stamped the sentiment onto
Thanksgiving is hands down my favorite Holiday. For me, it is all about family, and friends (and food!) This year, I am blessed to be spending it with my parents and also some really good friends. Of course we will have lots of food too! For today's project I made a card and a matching tag, since this will be given to our Thanksgiving Hostess this year (Mom). I made the tag to put on a bottle of wine as a hostess gift. I started by twice stamping the beautiful cornucopia image and leaves from Sweet and Sassy Harvest Blessings stamp set. It's a great little set, perfect for this occasion. I colored everything with Copic markers. I cut out the cornucopia and the leaves. On the card, I took a piece of watercolor paper and used Distress Inks to color the background. I used Mowed Lawn, Fired Brick, Mustard Seed and Seedless Preserves. I dried it with my heat gun, and then used the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die to cut it out. I heat embos
Hello everyone! Coralynn here with a Christmas card to jumpstart or inspire your holiday card making. I am in full holiday mode, making cards like a mad woman. Every year I tell myself that I will make more holiday cards and every year it seems to sneak up on me and I don't get done what I've wanted. So I have at least 16 done and counting. Now on to my card. I took a white cardstock panel and cut out the snowflakes. I then glued a piece of acetate to the back and added all the little inside pieces to the snowflakes. I took the positive die cuts and added them to the panel to give it some interest. With a piece of watercolour paper, I blended different blue distress oxide inks and added some water splatters and adhered it to an A2 sized card base. I added foam tape to the back and added that to the ink blended panel. I stamped the sentiment with blue ink to match the blue background and sprayed the entire front with a perfect pearls water mix to give it lot
Hello again, Butterfly Ink-ers! Kimberly here today to share a cozy Christmas card using supplies from some of my favorite companies! This time of year is filled to the brim with awesome new holiday releases and things we just HAVE to have, am I right?! I began by stamping and die cutting the lovely poinsettias with a variety of Altenew ink colors - they are perfect for layering stamps because they take the guesswork out of figuring out which colors will go nicely together! I set the die cuts aside and stamped several backgrounds - first the wood grain and then the plaid. I added silver embossing to my plaid background for a little shine! Next, I die cut a scalloped rectangle from patterned paper (and die cut an additional rectangle from that) and inked the edges just a bit. Finally, I die cut the merry sentiment, inked it with Versamark ink and added silver embossing powder. I did this twice to get a nice thick and solid coating. To put it all
Hey, guys! It’s Kevin here sharing another winter card with you all today! I️ may be the odd one out when it comes to winter, but I️ love it. All the snow, cozy clothes and of course- these critters! I️ just can’t get enough of the Polar Pals Stamp set from MFT. I️ love coloring them up in different ways, today I️ used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I’ve done a lot previously with them and water, but this time I️ just used a couple shades of each color to get a blend- sorta like Copics. A simple stamped background and a strip of festive green paper along with a punny sentiment pulled this card together fairly quickly. But most CAS are quick once you figure out the design. I️ toyed with adding the ice or more trees but figured I’d stick to my go-to CAS style. Hope you like it and found some ins-brrrr-ation! Have a great weekend!!
Hi Everyone! Jenny here with a delicate and soft birthday card using a wonderful stamp ' Botanical Banners' by Brutus Monroe . The card uses watercolor, heat embossing and dry embossing - here's how I created it. I used some Altenew Spicy Yoghurt cardstock for the background panel, trimmed down to A2 size, which I dry embossed using a Tim Holtz/Sizzix Roses embossing folder. The Tim Holtz embossing folders give a gorgeous subtle effect and create a wonderful impression that is create to add texture without making a card busy, so you can still keep it clean and simple. I recently got this one and can't wait to use it. Bring back dry embossing :) I added a border frame with the same cardstock by using two of the Hero Arts Infinity Rectangles and adhering the frame to the embossed panel with Ranger Multi Medium Matte . I adhered the panel directly to a card base. For some subtle color, I mixed some pink watercolor up and flicked it on to the panel with a

I just love how they're cuddled up together in one scarf! For a change, I started with my background first. That fabulous sentiment is from Neat & Tangled's Hello Winter stamp set. Using my MISTI , I inked it up with Versamark and then heat-embossed it in white. I created the snowy hill with the Landscape Duo stencil from N&T and distress inks . I placed the stencil over some Bristol Smooth paper and ink-blended with Spun Sugar, Wilted Violet, and Seedless Preserves distress inks. After buffing the embossed sentiment with a clean paper towel to remove the excess ink, I flicked on some water and blotted it dry. While my background was drying, I moved on to those cute foxes. I stamped them with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and colored them with

Here are some pictures of my card: To create this card, I first stamped the image onto Canson XL watercolor paper. Next, you could definitely cut out a mask and use that on top of your image, but I did not do that. I found that the Cloud Stencil from My Favorite Things was so easy to work with, I could see through it so I simply placed it over my image and did my inking around the stamped image. I used Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink for my inking. I then removed the cloud stencil and did some light water spraying with my distress sprayer. Next I colored the image with my Zig Markers and my Detailer Water Brush . I cut the panel down slightly and then stamped the sentiment. I then adhered the panel to a standard sized A2 card. Wh
