Sweet Bitty Bears Fall Card

Hi crafty friends! I am so excited to share this card for a sweet friend made with the cutest squishy  bitty bears from MFT !  I colored the bears with Copic markers (listed below) and I had to give a nod to Harry Potter with that Gryffindor scarf! After cutting the bears out with the coordinating dies , I stamped out the trees from MFT's Modern Trees with Lawn Fawn inks ( artichoke , cilantro , pumpkin spice , chili pepper , sunflower , and walnut ) and cut out the trees with coordinating dies . I cut out grass pieces using landscape dies from Mama Elephant , ink blended them with Distress Inks (crushed olive and mowed lawn), and splattered with mowed lawn Distress Ink. I created an autumnal sky with Distress inks (scattered straw, spiced marmalade, abandoned coral) and splattered carved pumpkin Distress Ink onto the sky. You can definitely achieve the same effect using Distress Oxide Inks as well. I stamped out the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink  (my favorite...

Nutty Squirrels Fall Card

Hi crafty friends! I'm back with a nutty card for a nutty friend! (And I mean nutty in a good way!) I love these cute, happy squirrels from Let's Go Nuts by Lawn Fawn . And even though I don't get to experience the beautiful fall colors where I live, I love colorful fall leaves... At least I can stamp and color fall leaves for this card! I stamped out the images from Let's Go Nuts and the tree branch from Jump for Joy . I used Copic markers (listed below) to color and then I cut out the images with the coordinating dies .  To create the background, I used speckled egg Distress Ink and the Lawn Fawn cloudy stencil to create subtle clouds. I also splattered more speckled egg ink. For the grass, I used the MFT grassy fields die to cut out some grass and added color using Distress Inks (fossilized amber, crushed olive, mowed lawn). The frame was cut from several layers of cardstock using the Backdrop from Lawn Fawn . The top frame was cut from Lawn Fawn Knit Picky patte...

Back to School Mini Cards

Hi crafty friends! Jenn here with my first post and I am so excited and grateful to be part of the BRI Design Team this term!  When I think of fall, the first thing I think about is back to school. I can't help it--I was a high school teacher so the end of summer signaled excitement about the new year (and to be honest, a slight sense of dread, am I right teacher friends out there?!😆). With everything going on and all of the changes happening in schools, I have even more respect and appreciation for teachers, and that is what inspired this set of mini cards I am sharing with you today. I stamped out these super cute images from the School Rules set by Mama Elephant  with MFT black ink and colored them with Copic markers  (I will list the colors I used at the very end of this post). Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The sentiments on the chalkboards were heat embossed with white embossing powder. To create the background, I used a brick stencil and fes...

A Cup of Cheer

Hey Crafters! I'm happy to see you all here on the blog today! Today I'm sharing a festive holiday card that's sure to drive the chill of the season right away! This card can be very easily mass produced, so definitely keep it in your arsenal to use for quick and simple holiday cards. Start out by stamping an image from the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags stamp set on to white cardstock. You can combine or use any of the images from the set to create the completed coffee cup image your heart desires! I chose to use the cup, whip cream, and holly leaf images. I also used the coffee cozy image for my sentiment area and added a little bit of copic marker shading to the coffee cozy and the whip cream image. Use a clean and simple panel die to trim down that coffee image and then adhere it on to a piece of patterned paper that has a subtle pattern. Using a subtle pattern will make the two card elements refrain from competing with each other, visually. For an a...

Create Galaxy Background With Dye Inks

Hello, BRI friends! It's Dana here with another Wednesday inspiration. I can't believe that it's already April and it means I have only 3 more times to share my cards as a design team memeber on this blog. Time flies too fast! For my first card of April, I tried to make galaxy background with dye inks. Let's get started! To begin, I pulled out my Lawn Fawn dye inks and cold pressed watercolor paper. I ink blended the background from light to dark colors with mini blending tool. I used LF Merman, Plastic Flamingo, Manatee, Narwhal dye inks and Black Soot Distress ink. I then splattered white drawing ink with water using paint brush. I stamped images from Neat and Tangled Ride With Me Stamp Set onto white card stock with Altenew Permanent Black and colored them with Copic markers. I die cut them using Ride With Me Dies and added highlights with Signo White. Before foam mounting the images, I heat embossed sentiment from Neat and Tangled Dreams Stam...

I Love You a Latte

Hi, BRI friends! It's Dana from Dana G.Crafts and I'm so glad to meet you here as a design team member. Thank you so much for having me, Vanessa! My first DT creation I'd like to share today is shaker card. Putting multi shakers in one card is one of my crafty major and here is what I came up with :) To begin, I stamped coffee cup from Avery Elle Cool Beans stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black onto bristol paper and stamped one more onto Inkadikado Stamping Masking Paper . I fussy cut masked image using scissors and adhered it on the stamped image. I then masked background panel using wide post-it and ink blended with Lawn Fawn dye ink. I used Minty Fresh (top left), Peach Keen (top right), Guava (bottom left) and Sugarplum (bottom right). I repeated this process 4 times. Next, I die cut cups using coordinating die set, Avery Elle Cool Beans Elle-ments for shaker window. I colored cup images with copic markers. I then traced window part using pencil on ano...

Out of This World DAD!

Hello Friends, Father´s day is around the corner and I was inspired by that special occasion to create this card with lots of shimmer and very cute characters. CARD DETAILS: I started creating the galaxy background, I used only 4 colors for that:  Merman Lawn Fawn Ink ,  Distress Ink Carved Pumpkin ,  Distress Ink Twisted Citron  and Black Soot. With an Ink Blending Tool  I put some of the colors starting in the corners of the card base blending heavily to get very vibrant colors, after that I apply the Black Soot Distress Ink in some parts to create the galaxy looking sky leaving some of the original colors for a colorful galaxy, and added water splatters too. I love to mix and match different stamp sets so I used the little mustache from  Dad Me Lawn Fawn Stamp Se t  and mix it with the cute Astronaut from  Out of this World Stamp Set  my idea was to create a Daddy Astronaut. I color the planets with the same...

If You Were Ice Cream... ( Stretching your stamps)

Hello and welcome back!   Kari  here with you to share a "yummy" card featuring the  Two Scoops  stamp set from Sunny Studio!  I had this idea in my head that I wanted to some how add chocolate to my ice cream cone to make it appear as if it had been dipped in chocolate!!   To do this, I stamped the layers of my cone as it was intended with the two layers to create a "dimensional" cone.  I used both  Doe Ink  for my lightest layer, and  Walnut Ink  for my darker layer.  Then it was time to add the look of my cone dipped in chocolate, so I reversed the cone image ( it doesn't matter which one you use) and I partially inked up the stamp you would normally mount to your block or stamp positioner with a very dark brown ink - in this case I used Espresso Truffle Memento Luxe ink as it was my darkest brown I own.  I didn't care that it was a pigment ink.  You can quickly dry it with your heat tool to speed up the dr...

Awesome Purse-N!

Hello Friends, use a lot of black in a card can be a little intimidating  for some people.... specially for me, but when I saw the floral pattern from the Waffle Flower  Purse-nality Stamp Set   I knew,  I wanted to use a lot of black. For this card I used a mix of black and soft colors. To start my card I stamped the first layer of purses with  Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad  and added  Embossing Powder Super Fine Clear , for the second layer I  did the same. That gave the purses a great reased look. I die cut the biggest square from the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched 4 Bar Rectangles Lawn Cuts and with a very light hand sponge it with  Lawn Fawn inks in colors: Ballet Slippers ,  Merman and  Squeezed Lemonade  distress ink. With the same colors and with a more heavy hand sponge  the purses for more vibrant colors.  For the card base I used Lawn Fawn   Black Licorice...

Have A Sweet Day!

Hi friends!! Happy Monday! It's  Kari  with you today with my first post designing with BRI, and I couldn't be happier!  I am honored to be on a team with such talent!!  For the month of May, you can find me right here bringing you projects every Monday, so I hope you visit then and everyday that each DT member blogs bringing daily inspiration!! Up today, I wanted to create a fun, happy and yummy card!!  I live in the Midwest, and as I am writing this up, a week ago we suffered some major flooding in and around my area, so much so, it has been labeled as historic!!  So, I wanted to go to a "happier place" by creating with some fun colors and layering up some popsicles using  THIS Sunny Studio layering set , called Perfect Popsicles!  I absolutely love all of Sunny Studio's layering sets!  They are so much fun and enjoyable to work with, and the results that you get are magical!  It just makes me giddy! I started off by taking ...
